Lightweight Fighter Clint "The Aztec" Coronel a member of Frank Shamrock's submission fight team will be on the card against an as yet unknown opponent. Coronel is 2-3-0 in his young MMA career and has fought on both Strikeforce and IFL shows, last competing at the Playboy Mansion show dropping a unanimous decision to Billy Evangelista. All of his losses have been by decision.
Here's the updated line-up for Nov. 16 which features the 4-man middleweight tournament.
Note: The tournament bouts will be 2X5 minute round bouts with an overtime round being available in case of a draw, not the 2X2 minute rounds that Strikeforce had themselves mentioned in days previous.

Joining the previously announced Falaniko Vitale in the 1-night tournament on Nov. 17 in California are: Trevor Prangley, Jorge Santiago and Yuki Sasaki.
In the tournament the bouts will be 2 rounds of 2 minutes a piece. If a draw is declared an over-time period will be added.
The winner of the tournament could face Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Frank Shamrock in a future bout.

I don't know if moronity is a word or not, but it is now, I'm a writer and I can do that.
We'll see if Ric laughs as hard about this as I did.
Remember Adam Smith the guy who tested positive for both Marijuana and Cocaine at the Strikeforce at the Mansion show on Sept. 29?
Well, his steroids test came back and he tested positive for anabolic agents for metabolites of both Nandrolone and Stanozolol. This is according to California State Athletic Commission spokesman Bill Douglas.
Douglas also says that Smith is the first fighter to fail for both performance enhancing drugs and street drugs in the same exam.
Now, if you total up his suspensions and fines, he is out for 21 months and out 4,000. Yes, this is the man who earned exactly $500 to fight on this show. It should also be noted that all of those drugs did him no good because he lost his match against Duey Cooper.
Do I even need remind you that in California every fighter is tested on every show, so Smith knew the test was coming when he did all of those drugs, and he knew he was going to fail when he was tested. Although given he was coked and high and on roids he might not have even known his own name, which means it is fortunate his name isn't Saltalamaccia or something like that.
I want the guy who once commented that I was too harsh on these guys for calling them morons and told me I needed to get a life to come back and defend Adam Smith.
I will set up future rules for the Hall of Moronity and I'm sure we'll induct a class periodically and probably have a pannel of voters. However, in the case of Smith, I'm making him the first inductee, I'm the only one that gets to vote (as if you could possibly have voted against this anyway) and he goes in all by himself.

Other than Smith's 2 failures and Bill Mahood's testing for performance enhancers, everyone else was great.

Mahood who competed and was defeated by Bobby Southworth at Strikeforce at the Mansion on Sept. 29 has tested positive for the steroid drostanolone according to the California State Athletic Commission.
Drostanolone is a steroid used by athletes for weight cutting by retaining strength while decreasing mass. Mahood joins Adam Smith as fighters who have failed their mandatory drug tests on that Sept. 29. Smith tested positive for Marijuana and Cocaine.
Mahood has been fined $2,500 and is suspended from Sept. 29 to the end of his licensing period which is Sept. 6 2008 plus another 22 days upon successfuly renewing his license for 2008-09.
If you don't know how I feel about these things by now, you must be a new reader.
In short, the word "moron" immediately comes to mind.

Adam Smith who fought and lost to Duey Cooper in last saturday's Strikeforce at the Mansion has tested positive for both marijuana and cocaine.
He's been fined $1,500 and is out from the conclusion of the fight until 06/25/2008.
Everyone else was clean in the test for drugs of abuse. Steroid testing and the like will be released later.

The announcement was made at last night's show at the Playboy Mansion according to MMAJunkie.com
Babalu, for those with fantastically short memories, was dismissed from the UFC following his UFC 74 bout against David Heath. The Controversy stemmed from the fact that Babalu continued to hold on the choke he used to finish the fight even after Heath had tapped out.
Aside from being released from his UFC contract, Babalu was fined $25,000 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. However, he was not suspended. No word on when his first fight for the California based Strikeforce will take place.

Back after a weeks delay caused by an old country style humbling from technology, it is the combat-hooligans.com show.

The 10-bout fight card will host the return of Strikeforce world light heavyweight (205 lb. limit) champion and The Ultimate Fighter season one runner-up Bobby Southworth as well as the return of former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star and Tough Enough 2 reality show winner Daniel Puder.
