The announcement was made at last night's show at the Playboy Mansion according to MMAJunkie.com

Babalu, for those with fantastically short memories, was dismissed from the UFC following his UFC 74 bout against David Heath. The Controversy stemmed from the fact that Babalu continued to hold on the choke he used to finish the fight even after Heath had tapped out.

Aside from being released from his UFC contract, Babalu was fined $25,000 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. However, he was not suspended. No word on when his first fight for the California based Strikeforce will take place.
