I don't even know where to begin. The interview is done, and Euan will upload it on Wednesday if he knows what's good for him.

Topics covered, not necessarily in order because we jumped around:

  1. Growing up a fan of the business and what were the things he enjoyed watching.
  2. The point he knew he wanted to be a pro wrestler, plus friends and family's reaction.
  3. Juggling school and wrestling.
  4. Training and his early days in the business.
  5. The evolution of the Austin Creed gimmick and the benefits that come with it.
  6. Highlights of his career before TNA and what he considers to be paying his dues moments.
  7. What he told a friend was his goal before the end of the year.
  8. The call from TNA and how he got the match at Bound for Glory.
  9. His thoughts on bringing a professionalism to the wrestling business and its importance.
  10. The TNA match and subsequent contract offer.
  11. Why he was so interested in TNA.
  12. The art of the promo.
  13. Video game talk!!

All that and I'm sure i'm forgetting a lot.

It was a fun time. You can check out Austin's MySpace here and look for the show on Wednesday.

There's not a lot happening in the combat sports world but we talk about it anyway. We have a new WWE champion, raw ratings are not pretty, upcoming UFC bouts, Joe Scarola, RoH and TNA talk.

We've also got Art going all Dana White on Euan and Euan talks his new job.

Recap of our site poll and the worst celebrity endorsement for a product ever.

Yeah, there's not much but what there is is on the combat hooligans show which you'll hopefully be able to hear on Wednesday.

We recorded a 90 minute episode yesterday with about 20 minutes worth of actual content.

We talked the Cena injury, Hulk Hogan as American Gladiators host and the new AG event involving Nick.
More on TNA and why it sucks balls, and a recap of episode 2 of the Ultimate Fighter.
Also in maybe the best moment in show history, Art Shimko does a live running commentary of a "Manswers" video on Youtube.
All that is spread out over 90 minutes and seriously if you listen past the hour mark, ask yourself why.

We were joined by Wade Wallenstein until his cell phone died. Also, I finally recorded an intro that horrified both Art and Euan to the point it was turned in to a blooper.

This show would've been very uneventful had Cena not gotten hurt.

The show will be posted when it is posted.

Combat Hooligans.com Show Episode 9 w/Daniel Puder

Send News

Back after a weeks delay caused by an old country style humbling from technology, it is the combat-hooligans.com show.

It's a lot packed in to an hour as the guys take a look at the big steroids bust over the past weekend, run down some of the shows they watched over the weekend and in the case of Cage Rage run down is more than appropriate. Plus, a look at SAVE_US_222 and some TNA...well, being TNA.

Then Daniel Puder joins the guys for a quick interview. He talks his fight at the Playboy Mansion, choosing Strikeforce over Bodog to fight for, some jokes about the IFL and then calls out Kurt Angle! Then right as that was getting good, technology decided it was time for another
suplex, camel clutch, back breaking ass fucking combo.

All on this week's episode of the combat-hooligans.com show. Due to the Puder interview going short due to technical difficulties, we offer you the original interview he conducted with us back in July.

Tonight, Art and I with no Euan got together for the Combat Hooligans show.

We talked about the PWU show that Art attended on Saturday. Highlights included one flaw with the way the matches were structured, who was there both announced and as surprises, and Art meeting 2 of the attractions.

Then we move to talk of EXC's Uprising. I run down the 5 match results, comment on each. We talk about the Mauro Ranallo 25 CM comment which was a hot button issue for some and why it didn't need to be. The question of a double standard for men and women in terms of what they are allowed to say and or hear is addressed.

We talk about the Gina Carano post fight comments that should've gotten more attention than they did.

We discussed whether or not fighters who fail drug tests are morons and why they are or aren't. We talk about the issue of drug test failures and whether or not it is the same as the argument for legalizing Marijuana.

We discussed the WWE Pay Per View and last night's Raw and Triple H killing the tag division.

Talk briefly of TNA's move to 2 hours and why longer wrestling matches won't fix the problem.

We run down this week's coverage, from Art for Fight Night 11, Euan for Cage Rage 23 and myself for UFC 76 plus Art back again with Chikara.

We do some plugging for our friends Karl Stern Ric Gillespie and some of the sites who have Featured our show recaps and Live event coverage lately

It was just over an hour long and made for a great show. So how do you listen?

You can't because Pamela is on her period and refused to do her job. OJ Simpson has been notified of the problem and will get right on it.

So we hope you've enjoyed reading about an awesome podcast lost to the black hole of time.

Suck it, Pamela!

This week, Casey, Art, Euan and the returning Ric Gillespie put the combat in Combat Hooligans.

  1. Discussion of UFC 75 and the absolutely incorrect decision in the Bisping-Hamill fight and what it probably means for all involved.
  2. Talk on the wellness issue for wrestling and its performers and whether or not we're in favor of Congress stepping in.
  3. A rather interesting and combative discussion of concussions. What role they may or may not have played in the Benoit situation, why they're examined so closely in the Benoit case as compared to other murder/suicide cases in society. It is really Ric and I having a very loud at times argument wherein basically we're in complete agreement on the conclusion but take completely different roads to that conclusion.

Some other general wackiness came up as it does every week, but we're used to it. I only listed the 3 topics because that's pretty much all we covered and yet the show is nearly 2 hours long.

The file will be split for your listening convenience but one of the better shows we've ever done, and no Ric and I are not and have never had any intention of killing each other at least that we'll discuss in public.

The show will be posted when Euan posts it.

The show was taped this evening and here's what you can expect.

  1. Talk about Dr. Black's quote in the Washington post last week and Phil Astin's expected if very foolish defense.
  2. Brief talk of this weekend's PPV/Showtime cards.
  3. Casey makes fun of Euan for one of his UFC picks.
  4. Some site news, including our call for hires.
  5. Mark Danger's MySpace photo.
  6. What exactly powers Euan's internet access.
  7. Shoutouts to Sweden and a Wikipedia Author.
  8. The man who is suing Mike Vick for more money than exists in the world.

All that plus I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out.

All that and we managed to go a lot less long as compared to last week.

Euan will have the show up when he gets the show up.

One episode 6, unless things change, Ric Gillespie will be back and fearfully he could actually be our guest next week.
