Bill Mahood tests positive for steroids

Mahood who competed and was defeated by Bobby Southworth at Strikeforce at the Mansion on Sept. 29 has tested positive for the steroid drostanolone according to the California State Athletic Commission.

Drostanolone is a steroid used by athletes for weight cutting by retaining strength while decreasing mass. Mahood joins Adam Smith as fighters who have failed their mandatory drug tests on that Sept. 29. Smith tested positive for Marijuana and Cocaine.

Mahood has been fined $2,500 and is suspended from Sept. 29 to the end of his licensing period which is Sept. 6 2008 plus another 22 days upon successfuly renewing his license for 2008-09.

In short, the word "moron" immediately comes to mind.
