Send News and Event Results

Results for the Double Death Tag Team Tournament

-Full spool of Barbwire around the ropes-
Vulgar Display of Power defeated Freakshow and Prophet. Prophet was put away with what I think was a piledriver on the floor from Brain Damage. Freakshow got eliminated with the knockout punch by Brain Damage then pinned.

-Barbwire stayed up plus 2 Barbwire boards-
The Bloody Brothers def. Mickie Knuckles & Storm. Storm was taken out with a con-chair-to by the Brothers. Insane Lane was pinned after a stiff Shining Kawada kick to the face. Mickie attempted the Shining Kawada on Ian but Ian grabbed her and put her in an ankle lock, which forced her to tap.

-Barbwire stayed up and deathmatch bats-
Drake Younger and Corey Shaddix def. Naptown Dragons.

Shaddix was eliminated after a Scotty Vortekz double stomp over two open chairs then followed up by a tumbleweed from Diehard. Diehard was eliminated after Drake hit a butterfly piles driver on two open chairs. Scotty Vortekz was eliminated after the Drake's Landing (Copkilla) on a pile of chairs.

-Barbwire stayed up plus TLC rules-
Devon Moore and Joker def. CJ Otis and xOMGx.

CJ Otis was pinned with a rollup by Joker after miscommunication with xOMGx. xOMGx was then pinned with a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo to be eliminated. After the match, Otis gave xOMGx a burning hammer through a table piece and was going for another one until the Naptown Dragons ran him off. xOMGx chant after the match.

Intermission.

-Fans bring the weapons-
The Bloody Brothers (Insane Lane and Ian Rotten) def. Joker and Devon Moore.

Moore was eliminated after Ian Rotten hit a B-Boy dropkick with lighttubes then hit the Rotten Rush. Joker was eliminated after Lane hit a suplex through about 10 lighttubes and a somersault by Ian.

-Fans bring the weapons-
Vulgar Display of Power (Deranged and Brain Damage) def. Drake Younger & Corey Shaddix.

Deranged was hit with a chair and fell onto a pack of exploding firecrackers as they were going off. However, Brain Damage with his destructive knockout punches sends down Corey Shaddix and then drills Drake as he was entering the ring to get the final elimation to move VDOP into the finals.

Intermission to put up the cage.

Bloody Brothers vs. Vulgar Display of Power in a House of Horrors match (lighttubes hanging from the top of the cage).

Insane Lane has been eliminated after Deranged hits a moonsault from the top rope. CRUSHED Lane.

Deranged is pinned after a giant headbutt.

Down to Ian/Brain Damage. Ian worked over Damage's hand with tubes and using the barbwire cage. Ian even pulled off Damage's MMA glove to do further damage.

Brain Damage hits one of his hardest knockout punches (left handed) to get the pin over Ian.

Vulgar Display of Power are your Double Death Tag Champions.

Results from Queen of the Death Matches

There is only 6 women to compete in the house. So the matches will be round robin style.

-Barbwire around the ropes/thumbtack death match-
Roxie Cotton vs. BB Walls (BB stands for Bad Bitch) vs. LuFisto.

BB Walls was eliminated after a buzzsaw kick from LuFisto.

LuFisto def. Roxie Cotton with an Island Driver (Emerald Fusion) to advance to the winners bracket.

-Barbwire around the ropes/barbwire bats.
Misty Heat vs. Storm vs. Mickie Knuckles

Misty Heat eliminated by a shining Kawada kick by Mickie with a barbwire bat held infront of her face by Storm.

Storm put the bat down Mickie's shirt and hit a kick into the chest with it. Mickie fought back and hit a kick of her own with the barbwire bat held infront of her foot to Storm, below the belt.

Mickie climbs to the middle rope for a Vader bomb on the fallen Storm with the barbwire bat on her. LuFisto comes out and distracts Mickie. Storm hits Mickie in the back with a forearm then hits a huge sitout powerbomb to pin Mickie.

That means it'll be LuFisto vs. Storm in the winners bracket.

-Intermission-

-Barbwire stayed up/Deathmatch bats-
BB Walls vs Mickie Knuckles.

Mickie Knuckles def. BB Walls after a stiff kick to the face with a thumbtack bat infront of it.

LuFisto def. Storm with a double underhook DDT on a pile of chairs.

-Barbwire Taipei Deathmatch-

Mickie Knuckles def. Roxie Cotton with a wicked palm strike in a hard fought match.

Mickie Knuckles vs. LuFisto for the finals.

-Non Tournament Action/Revolution Strong Style tournament qualifier
CJ Otis vs. Deranged

CJ Otis def. Deranged. Deranged was on the apron and doing running kicks to CJ's head. Hit one then hit a brutual one, on the third one, CJ reversed it into a dragon screw leg whip, causing Deranged to hit his head on the floor, CJ pinned him to get the victory.

-Intermission to set up the no rope barbwire/electrified lightbulbs and electried lighttubes-

-No rope barbwire/electrified lightbulbs and electried lighttubes-
Mickie Knuckles vs. LuFisto

LuFisto jumped Mickie before the bell. They've hit each other with the electrified lightbulbs and LuFisto just northern light suplex Mickie through a bunch of tubes. I'm blocked now from the fans standing infront of me but I'll update as soon as possible.

LuFisto just hit a huge knee to the face of a sitting Mickie then she swung a bundle of electrified lightbulbs at her back. Mickie just set up chairs and now they are "bar fighting" with each other. They go back and forth and both level each other with a shot that knocks each other out of the chairs.

LuFisto defeats Mickie Knuckles with a burning hammer through the electrified lighttubes sitting on 2 chairs.

LuFisto is your 2007 Queen of the Deathmatch Champion.

Results for the IWA vs. ElitePro & 11th Anniversary Shows in Joliet, IL on 10/13

Here are your official results from the IWA vs. ElitePro Best of 7:

1. Jason Hades def. Lucky with the Killswitch to give ElitePro an 1-0 lead. Lucky was subbing for a sick Billy Roc who couldn't make it. Ian yelled at both Lucky and Devon Moore (for saying that Lucky would be a suitable replacement for Billy in the match).

2. Deranged def. Jay Jensen with the pumphandle into the powerbomb to tie the challenge at 1-1.

3. Rob Conway def. Joey "Magnum" Ryan in the FSM match. Ryan did a top rope flying cross body and Conway rolled through and trapped Ryan in an arm lockout submission for the victory.

4. Mickie Knuckles def. Kimberley Kash to give IWA a 2-1 lead with the running shining kick to the face.

Kash Incorporated comes back out to the ring with Night Breed present despite being told to stay away by Ian Rotten. They are out with Dysfunction and Ian comes to the ring. He tells them that they can stay and have a 6 man tag.

5. Dysfunction & Night Breed (Kash Inc.) def. Ricochet, Eddie Kingston & Devon Moore to tie the challenge at 2-2. Devon missed the shooting star press and Dysfunction picked him up and hit the Rubik's Cube for the win. Michael Elgin comes from commentary and gets into the ring and into the face of Eddie Kingston. He challenges Kingston and this brings Roderick Strong to the ring. A pull apart ensues between Kingston and Elgin that eventually leads to Ian saying to hell with it and making it a three way dance on the anniversary show later in the evening between Kingston, Elgin & Roderick.

6. Acid def. Chuck Taylor with the Spanish Fly to give ElitePro a 3-2 advantage in the best of 7

7. The Iron Saints def. Team Taliban with the Pendulum Double Foot Stomp to tie the challenge at 3-3.

8. Brandon Thomaselli def. Ian Rotten to win the challenge 4-3 for ElitePro. Vito stopped Brandon from using brass knuckles and took the knucks and then turned around and blasted Ian with the knucks to give Brandon the win. Sal was not pleased and it led to arguing back and forth and set up a match for Simply the Best - Ian Rotten & Sal Thomaselli vs. Brandon & Vito Thomaselli.

Here are the official results from the 11th Anniversary Show.

1. Chrisjen Hayme def. Ben McCoy with the 450

2. Devon Moore def. Jason Hades, Troy Walters, Lucky, Justin Dredd & Dingo in a 6 way elimination match

3. "Serial Killer" Jack Thriller def. Jimmy Jacobs with a figure four. Jack worked over the knee of Jimmy and applied a figure four for a long time. He then took off Jimmy's knee brace and put him in an STF and then another figure four and Jacobs' tapped.

Ian gave a speech to the crowd thanking Danny Trahan for all the hard work and Jim Fannin for all the loyalty and Mickie Knuckles for being a treasure and Phyllis Hickey for all that she had done for the company. He then addressed the very real possibility that IWA Mid-South will be closing its doors on December 7th. The debts have gotten too great for both Ian and Jim to be able to continue and in all likelihood, barring a complete change of heart and reversal of fortune, December 7th will likely be the end of the road for IWA Mid-South.

4. Deranged def. Brandon Thomaselli with the pumphandle into the powerbomb.

5. Chuck Taylor def. Ricochet with the Awful Waffle

6. Milwaukee's Best (Dysfunction & Silas Young) def. Josh Abercombie & Mickie Knuckles (subbing for Nate Webb) in a Pinfalls Count Anywhere Match. Josh had put a chair into the back of Dysfunction's shirt and had he on the ring apron set up for a lungblower. Valerie Malone (Silas' valet) grabbed Josh's foot as he was on the ropes and allowed Dysfunction to get the chair out of his shirt and drill Josh in the face knocking him into the ring. Dysfunction then hit the Rubik's Cube for the pinfall.

7. B.J. Whitmer def. C.J. Otis when he knocked him out with a lariat clothesline

8. Jason Dukes def. Ian Rotten to retain the NWA Midwest X Division Title in an old school IWA rules match. This was an all out brawl all over the building that saw both men bleeding profusely. Ian accidentally splashed the referee in the corner and Joey Ryan & Karl Anderson (NWA World Tag Champs) came to the ring to help Dukes. Anderson gave Ian an Irish whip towards Ryan who gave Ian a superkick. Anderson then gave Ian a spinebuster and they set him up for Dukes to hit the moonsault. Anderson & Ryan dragged the ref over to make the count.

9. Eddie Kingston def. Michael Elgin & Roderick Strong in a three way dance. Kingston delivered a spinning backfist to Elgin to get the pinfall.

10. Joey "Magnum" Ryan & Karl "The Machine Gun" Anderson def. Iron Saints to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Some "miscommunication" between Vito & Sal throughout the match (accidentally hitting each other) directly led to the Super Kick/Spine Buster combination leading to Sal getting pinned. The Saints argued after the match and Vito walked out alone.

11. Freak Show def. Insane Lane in a Barbed Wire Boards & Barb Wire Bat Match. Show gets the pin with a modified dragon suplex into the barbed wire board set up in the corner. Very bloody matchup.

Partial Lineup for IWA’s 11th Anniversary Show in Joliet, IL on 10/13

Part Two of the Joliet, IL Doubleheader:

Saturday Night October 13th, 2007
Hartman Recreational Center
511 N. Collins Street
Joliet, IL
Bell Time: 8 pm; Doors Open at 7:15 pm
Ticket Prices: $25, $20 & $15 ($5 off if you purchase tickets for the IWA vs. ElitePro afternoon show for a total savings of $10 if you purchase tickets to both shows)

Some people have been wondering about the incident with Ed Chuman at the TPI and what our relationship with the NWA means to the Amazing Kong vs. Mickie Knuckles match. Ian called Ed Chuman this week to talk with him about still doing the match. Chuman told us that since we are no longer a part of the NWA, we could NOT have the match. Ian then got phone calls from the buildings in Plainfield, Midlothian and Joliet saying that Ed Chuman had called them and informed them that we no longer had the right to use the NWA insurance policy during our shows. With our current financial situation, we are not capable of carrying our own insurance. Ed Chuman called Ian and basically railroaded us into signing a 3 year contract with the NWA to remain a part of the NWA organization so we could still continue to run shows since the buildings would not let us run without insurance. Not only did we have to sign a three year contract with Chuman, we also had to make some other concessions for the NWA. In return, we get to have insurance and continue running shows AND we get to have the Mickie vs. Kong match at the Strong Style Tournament. We can not do it on this show due to contractual obligations that Kong already has. Enough with the depressing news, now onto most of the lineup for our 11th Anniversary show!

IWA'S 11th Anniversary Show

NWA World Tag Team Title Match
Joey "Magnum" Ryan & Karl "The Machine Gun" Anderson vs. The Iron Saints
The NWA World Tag Team Champions will make a title defense at our anniversary show as the team of Ryan and Anderson defend the straps against the IWA Mid-South and ElitePro Tag Team Champions, Vito & Sal Thomaselli. Can the hometown heroes bring home the World Tag Titles in front of their home crowd?

NWA Midwest X Division Title Match
Jason Dukes vs. Ian Rotten
Ian Rotten is not your typical X Division wrestler but then again neither is the champion Jason Dukes. Ian decided that if he is going to be forced to put Jason Dukes onto IWA shows and actually have him in a match, he might as well make it a one time thing and take the match himself and kill Dukes. What better way to turn the tables on Ed Chuman after being railroaded by him than taking his title and destroying his "little friend" in the process?

Pinfalls Count Anywhere Grudge Match
Trailer Park Boyz (Josh Abercrombie & Nate Webb) vs. Milwaukee's Best (Dysfunction & Silas Young)
This feud is between Josh Abercrombie and Dysfunction and their partners have gotten involved mostly because Dysfunction cheats and Josh has decided to have his tag team partner watch his back. Will Josh & Nate win one for the Trailer Park or will Dys & Silas pull out the victory and make Milwaukee proud?

Deranged vs. Brandon Thomaselli
This one isn't a qualifying match for the Strong Style Tournament but it definitely could be viewed as a trial match for both of these guys to prove that they belong in the tournament. "The Impact Bully" Brandon Thomaselli broke Vortekz jaw with a forearm and well he prides himself in being a bully. Deranged wants to step into the strong style genre and prove that he can be just as devastating outside of the death match style as he is in it. Who will prove superior in this contest of hard hitting sluggers?

[image] vs. [image]

Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston is the defending Strong Style Tournament champion and is coming off an unbelievablely hard fought victory over Chris Hero at the 2007 TPI in a Last Man Standing match. Roderick Strong is undoubtably one of the toughest men in the wrestling business to go along with one of the hardest hitters. This matchup will definitely show whether Eddie Kingston will be a favorite to repeat in the upcoming 2007 SST.

B.J. Whitmer is a former Strong Style Tournament Champion, Ted Petty Invitational Champion and IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion. C.J. Otis would love nothing more than to have a resume that impressive. He has earned the monicker "Strong Style Superman" and wants to prove that fact to B.J. on one of the biggest stages in IWA...the 11th Anniversary Show.

6 Way Elimination Match

Devon Moore vs. Jason Hades vs. Justin Dredd vs. Troy Walters vs. Lucky vs. J.C. Ryder

Plus much more to be added.

You can go to www.paypal.com and send payment to Patti at rottenwife@aol.com to purchase tickets for this huge day of doubleheader wrestling action in Joliet.

IWA vs. Elite Pro Special Challenge - Best of 7

ElitePro: Jason Hades vs. IWA-MS: "Pure Dynamite" Billy Roc
Two of the best up-and coming light heavyweights in the midwest will collide in what should be a fast-paced matchup. Billy Roc has already successfully defended the honor of IWA-MS against ElitePro, being a member of the successful 8-man tag team at the ElitePro Showcase. Jason Hades has broke out in both ElitePro and IWA-MS with his dreaded "Killswitch" finisher and has chosen to represent ElitePro in this special singles challenge.

ElitePro: "The Human Highlight Reel" Acid vs. IWA-MS: Chuck Taylor
Two of the best natural athletes in either promotion, Acid and Chuck Taylor are considered by many to be the faces of their respective promotions. Taylor is fresh off losing the IWA World Heavyweight Championship to Mike Quackenbush and Acid is ready to show the independent wrestling world that he's one of the very best in the midwest. This match above any other could be the "show-stealer" as both men are incredibly athletic and talented.

ElitePro: Dysfunction vs. IWA-MS: Ricochet
Dysfunction will represent ElitePro as their champion in this unusual matchup. One of the premier "hybrid" style wrestlers in the country, Dysfunction will have to find a way to ground one of independent wrestling's best high-flyers.

ElitePro: Kimberly Kash vs. IWA-MS: Mickie Knuckles
This is a rematch from the ElitePro Showcase, which saw outside interference from The Night Breed and J.D. Hughes. At the end of the match, Kimberly Kash walked out with the IWA MidSouth Women's Championship, a belt Knuckles prizes dearly. Many fans expected Kash to fold under the intensity of Mickie, but Kash showed she had fight and stood her ground. But as IWA-MS fans well know, if there's one woman in the world you don't want to cross, it's "The Walking Episode of COPS".

ElitePro: Team Taliban ("Prince" Arya Daivari & Jake O'Neill) vs. IWA-MS: The Iron Saints (Sal & Vito Thomaselli)
The Iron Saints are the proud owners of both the IWA MidSouth and ElitePro Tag Team Championships. But in this Best-of-Seven Challenge, they have decided to side with the promotion where they first broke out as a major independent tag team. They have assured Ian Rotten that they will wrestle the match as they always do, to win. For Team Taliban, this is an enormous opportunity for the two up-and-comers to score the biggest upset either promotion has seen in quite some time.

ElitePro: "The Real Deal" Jay Jensen vs. IWA-MS: Deranged
Two of the toughest men in their respective promotions, Jay Jensen and Deranged could very well be the hardest-hitting of the seven matches in the series. Deranged, known most for his work in deathmatches, has been impressive against so-called "strong style" wrestlers recently. Jensen prides himself on his toughness and this will certainly be a test of just that.

ElitePro: "The Impact Bully" Brandon Thomaselli vs. IWA-MS: "The Undisputed King of Hardcore" Ian Rotten
Many of the wrestlers in the IWA MidSouth locker room have long made mention of the fact that a young Brandon Thomaselli never got his "initiation" match into IWA with promoter Ian Rotten as so many of them before him had. With Ian retirement from wrestling just about 2 months away, time was running out for Brandon to get was has been coming to him for nearly four years. Not only must Brandon try to survive his first singles match with Ian Rotten, he must do what his brothers have decided NOT to do - defend ElitePro Wrestling.

You can go to www.paypal.com and send payment to Patti at rottenwife@aol.com in order to get your tickets early for this event.

QnA Notes
Ian revealed that back at that one TOD it was suppossed to be JC going off the building with Zandig but Ian nixed it, so it was Mondo that did the spot with Zandig. He said thats the difference between him and Zandig is that Zandig would encourage the reckless spots where Ian would use his head more, he also added you know the spot wasn't safe and "Where's Mondo now?"

Ian also stated the big differences in the east coast crowds and everyone else is the East Coast fans spend too much time criticizing and less time Enjoying a show, where that doesnt happen as much in the midwest

When asked by someone "Ian what happened between you and JC" Ian Responded "None of your Fucking business...Next Question"

Hero is on Fire they had a lengthy cravate/counter cravate exchange everytime Hero gets the upper hand he follows with a silly taunt or dance ...The theme of this match has been Hero getting the advantage but instead of following up he taunts allowing the wily Scorpio to recover and make Hero pay for the taunts ...This match has turned into a classic at about the 20 min mark Hero stiffs him good 12:03 Scorpio over with a perfect 450 a HUGE Loser chant goes out to Hero ... Ian Rotten Recap

The most professional start to the show as Ian Rotten gives ten seconds of silence followed by the Doctor asking if many boys go to the Rotten household to discuss bookings, angles and the like. Apparently the question is all legit and the answer is not like back in the day. Ian reminisces of CM Punk recording and critiquing his matches and Sabu taking as much time to tell Ian's wife how good the food is at thanksgiving than the time it takes for him to execute a successful Triple Jump Arabian Press.

Dr. Keith asks how Ian manages to keep going with all his dire financial woes? Ian says he tells the IWA fans and they come to his rescue. Ian then goes on to thank the fans of the European WXW to help him get over the death of Chris Candido. 'I get down, I get so pissed off reading message boards,' Ian then shoots on the message board geeks that state the Ted Petty tournament is a technical wrestling tournament. 'The Ted Petty represents everything that Ted Petty was; Ted Petty was a high-flyer, Ted Petty could knock the living daylights out of you, so he could definitely work strong style and Ted Petty was a brawler.'

Ian talks about Eddie Gilbert almost being forgotten today and doesn't wish for the same with Ted Petty and Chris Candido. Ian says that if he went out of business, he'd 'make a lot of people happy for the wrong reasons.' Keith demands names. Ian obliges! Jim Cornette is name number one. That 'beat-nosed ASSHOLE' Danny Daniels is number two, and Don Owens is also name -checked. And the reason? ~ JEALOUSY! Ian rips into AAW’s Daniels big time, claiming that he 'made him.' Ian says he is pleased for Ring of Honor's success but that IWA Mid-South doesn’t get the respect that they deserve.

Retirement talks. Ian can honestly see himself leaving the squared circle as a performer mentioning the longer recovery rates and that he'll be able to book better shows with more time behind the scenes. The future will see more local talent in IWA Mid South than big names. Ian talks about not running Chicago due to having to pay $1,000 for commercials and the never-ending-cycle when funds are low. The two put Chuck Taylor and Drake Younger over as the future of IWA Mid South with Ian giving a first hand account of Drake's recent thumb I mean hand perils and a Peter North comparison.

Ian talks about his fear of the fans not paying to see the TPI tournament and why fans are pissed off at him over Jimmy Rave. Keith asks why Ian is more publicly open now about his business dealings this year? Ian agrees that it is a conscious decision on his part and talks candidly over his problems with J.C. Bailey. 2008 plans ~ Ian plans to host a raffle draw with the winning fan being given a budget with it book their own wrestling show. Ian utters the immortal words of Terrence Funk: 'This ain't ballet,' alluding to whining wrestlers. Ian then discusses Jimmy Jacobs throwing the IWA-MS title in the garbage, and Jimmy coming back to the promotion and how angry this made IWA-MS Jim Fannon (the godfather to his son). When talking about guys working other promotions, Ian doesn’t mind, however Ian says he will always push guys more that are loyal to him over guys that aren't and if you think otherwise then 'you're an idiot.'

Keith asks if Ian watches WWE if he is happy for CM Punk? Ian says he is elated for him and talks about his own goals for the future of the sport and has yet more aggravations. Ian says he hugged Punk at the Candido show and told him to 'go become a millionaire.' Smelly ring gear talk ~ YAY! Ian says the only wrestler he ever booked for himself was Dusty Rhodes. The biggest problems he faces being a promoter is working around other promoters' schedules. Ian then transforms into Ole Anderson stating that everytime a name wrestler leaves he can create another. Ian says he knew Necro Butcher was rejoining ROH for months and wishes the internet would give him some credit. He says that the ROH project is often the same, although it is still spiffing. Ian trashes TNA revealing that the booking gives him a headache!

Deep South feud talk, along with his injured EYE and Freak Show discussion. Then CZW talk. Ian blames John Zandig's ego for the reason the promotional feud wasn't as successful as it could've been, and blames Zandig for a botched scaffold/tables spot. Ian said that Zandig got legitimately upset at some of the CZW fans and tells the listeners to the Dr. keith show why. Talk of the last IWA-MS Philly show and people phoning it in – and what the guys were doing backstage (Philly cheese steak talk)! Ian finishes by plugging this weekends Ted Petty Invitational tournament and several super smashing great IWA Mid South DVD deals at http://www.iwamidsouthwrestling.com

Show #500 - Ian's Retirement - 12/7 in Plainfield

We have talked with the building in Plainfield and worked out a deal with the volleyball players and have switched dates. We will now be having the show on Friday night, December 7th so that fans and wrestlers will not have to choose between the other shows going on on the 8th. We always try to accomodate our fans/wrestlers and this change of the date will make things easier on everyone. We will also make sure that this show will be IWA Mid-South's 500th show in our history. So this is going to be a huge night for us professionally and personally.

Friday Night, December 7th, 2007 - SHOW #500
Capital Sports Center
1915 Gladden Road
Plainfield, IN
8 pm Bell Time - Doors Open at 7 pm
Ticket prices are $30 front row; $25 second row; $20 bleachers

Main Event - Ian Rotten's Retirement Match
Ian Rotten vs. Mickie Knuckles
Ian's career has spanned 17 years and he has traveled the world and wrestled in such companies as ECW, USWA and Global that gave him television exposure and helped build his name. He started IWA Mid-South 11 years ago when he moved to Kentucky after he fell in love with Patti. This will mark the end of an era as he wrestles his final match and who better to face in that match than his final student that graduated the Ian Rotten Wrestling School. Ian and Mickie have had many memorable matches in more than just IWA Mid-South but I don't think anyone will forget the 2003 TPI or the 2006 KOTDM or even the match after that in Streamwood. This one is going to be something to remember even more than those other matches as Ian has promised to bring the house down on his final night inside a wrestling ring. Hopefully everyone will come out and support IWA Mid-South and give Ian a great sendoff into retirement.

Also appearing on this show...
Former WWE/ECW/WCW Superstar - Sandman!!!!

We will be announcing Sandman's opponent for this show soon.

Tickets are on sale right now for this event.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to address a few things that I know is on people's minds, from other boards and things people have talked to me about at other shows.

A lot of people think that we are doing this with an attempt to draw a good crowd and that I will be back wrestling again in no time at all because of things that have occurred in the past. The last time I said that I was done with wrestling, was because of doctors, not of my own free will. This time though, it is of my own free will.
Injuries over the past 17 yrs. are really starting to take there toll on me as I get older. I never want to be one of those guys that is just there, collecting a pay day. I don't want to be one of those guys that other people are saying that I should have retired 5 yrs. ago. I feel like I can accept this and be content with it on my own terms. I truly do love the wrestling business, since the day my father first took me to the Baltimore Civic Center when I was 4 yrs. old.
I also truly take the nickname of the "Undisputed King Of Hardcore" to heart. As many of you know, the word "hardcore" to me means: giving it everything you got every time you're out there. I never want to be to the point that I can't give it everything I got.
I have lived all of my dreams that I ever dreamed of. I have traveled the world, seen things that people have payed thousands of dollars to see, and have been payed to do so. I am content with going out on my own accord.
I will still have IWA to run, and to people that have never done it: to sometimes have to sell tickets, run a show, and get dressed and be prepared to wrestle. You can never imagine how tough this is to do. It is my hope, with cutting out a few of these things, I may be able to better the IWA shows.
Then comes the now almost 2 yr. old. Many of you may not know that I have been wrestling with rotator cup injuries for the better part of this year. I don't want to be the dad that cannot pick up or play with his child. Not to mention, with retirement would come more time to spend with my children on weekends that IWA does not have shows. As it is right now, when IWA doesn't have shows I go somewhere else to wrestle.
My choice for last opponent. A lot of people think I should wrestle Axl, Corp, Pondo, Bull, J.C., or Drake Younger. First of all, for those of you wanting Axl, don't get your hopes up. Axl's demons would be WAY too much for me to handle on what I hope to be a memorable night. Pondo, Corp, Bull, J.C., and Drake, many of you are right. Any one of those guys would be an excellent farewell. But, I chose Mickie because I don't look at her as a woman or a girl. I look at her as a worker. A worker who has dedicated herself to IWA in the fullest terms. From hot dogs, to the gimmick table, to tearing down and putting up the ring with an unquestioned loyalty. Not to mention the fact, she is my last student to go through the school and there is no one that I would rather be in the ring with when I hang up the denim shorts, singlet, and boots for the last time. Mickie has done everything that she possibly could for IWA and I think she deserves this. If you're one of those people that are unhappy with this decision, I suggest you get over it and get your head out of the 70's. Because I promise you, me and her will tear down the house on December 7th. Which will be a happy birthday to James Christopher Williams!
IWA has always been about family which includes many people that have came to the shows on a regular basis and supported us when they couldn't do so many different ways. As much as it saddens me to call it quits, it's also something I am looking forward to. I hope to see everyone December 7th, because believe you me it's gonna be tough to say good bye.

Thanks,
Ian

NO Q & A session due to the EPW afternoon show

Before getting into the first round brackets:

1. Matt Sydal has reported to OVW on his WWE deal and will not be in the TPI. We were just informed of that today.

2. El Generico has injured his hamstring and informed us that he can't compete in the TPI.

3. B-Boy has asked to be let out of the TPI so he can recover a bit from his injuries before doing his retirement tour

4. Tony Kozina has pulled himself out of the TPI

5. We are no where near paying off our debt to TNA since the last couple of DVD sales haven't went as well as hoped so no TNA guys can be used.

Tables, Ladders, Chairs & Scaffold 2

J.C. Bailey vs. Devon Moore

This will be a rematch from the much talked about match from Kings of Extreme. Devon Moore thinks that J.C. Bailey had an advantage having done the Circus Death Match with that scaffold against Mad Man Pondo and having much more hardcore experience. Devon feels that now that he has a feel for it, that he can beat J.C. Bailey and prove that he is a competitor to be reckoned with in the future in IWA Mid-South. J.C. Bailey is more than happy to step back in there and prove that he hasn't missed a beat while away and reclaim his position as the future of hardcore wrestling. These two men took it to the extreme limits at KOE. What will they do to top it this coming Sunday? I'm almost afraid to think of the possibilities!

No Rope Barbed Wire 200 Light Tubes

Ian Rotten & Mickie Knuckles vs. Six Feet Under

This match will not be exploding barbed wire cage since the guy that was supposed to hook up the explosives to the cage can not be gotten ahold of still after the death in his family. This new stipulation will be just as violent and brutal however. I don't think anything has to be said to hype this match or explain the animosity that exists between these two teams.

IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Championship

Chuck Taylor vs. B.J. Whitmer

Will this finally bring an end to Chuck Taylor's record setting title reign? Is B.J. Whitmer Jim Fannin's choice to win the title or will B.J. have to get the victory on his own? B.J. is a former TPI champion, Strong Style champion and IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion. Will he regain the title that he has held before or will Chuck Taylor add another impressive victim to his list of successful defenses?

IWA Death Match Title - Fans Bring Weapons

Tank vs. Deranged vs. Necro Butcher

This one will be an unbelievable battle between these three as Deranged and Necro Butcher both attempt to win their first singles titles in IWA Mid-South. Necro has been KOTDM and Deranged a tag champ but this would be unchartered territory for both men. Tank will continue to try to find ways to escape with his title against all the odds. Will his luck run out or will Deep South keep a stranglehold on an IWA Mid-South title.

Old School IWA Legends 3 Way Dance

HyZaya w/ Uncle Honkey vs. Tarek the Great vs. SUICIDE KID!!!!

This will be a match between 3 of the 4 guys whom defined the IWA Mid-South light heavyweight title picture in the Louisville/Charlestown/Clarksville days in IWA's history. This will be an one night only event for the return of the Suicide Kid as he gets one last hurrah in the ring after his career was cut short with a severe shoulder injury after returning from a broken ankle. This will be your chance to see the man that was so talked about in IWA before injury kept him from following in the footsteps of Punk, Hero & Cabana. This will be a great walk down memory lane especially for our long time fans in the Louisville area. Make sure you are there to see this match!

Triple Shot of Styles Clash

Roderick Strong vs. "Spyder" Nate Webb
Tracy Smothers vs. Mad Man Pondo
Cash Flo vs. Ricochet

Also on the card:

"Rough Tough" Jimmy Clough vs. Mike Roach

IWA Mid-South: Results from 9/7 in Plainfield, IN

Send News

1). Ash def.. Chrisjen Hayme & Kris Chambers & American Kickboxer

Ash & Chambers start against each other and go move for move. They tag out at the same time and AK takes immediate control on Hayme but Ash keeps coming in and breaking up the pin. Ash and Hayme take turns trying to drop elbows on AK but keep hitting each other instead. Kickboxer with running knee strikes to the temple on Hayme and keeps going into the guard position and trying arm submissions. Hayme with European Uppercuts takes control on AK. Ash and Chambers back in the ring and Chambers almost gains the win with a German Suplex on Ash. But Ash with a quick fireman's carry and drops Chambers into a knee to the face and gets a quick pin for the victory.

2). Mickie Knuckles def. Daizee Haze to retain the IWA Mid-South Women's Championship.

Mickie Knuckles comes to the ring in a Peyton Manning jersey to ensure that the crowd would support her in this contest between two popular ladies. Daizee runs up the ropes out of a one handed test of strength and uses her momentum off the top to give a huge arm drag to Mickie. Back and forth action with lots of counters as these two know each other very well. Mickie tries to break Daizee in half by bending her backwards but Daizee eventually squirms out and into a modified Texas Cloverleaf position. More back and forth action with more counters. Daizee back to the tying up of the legs and working over Mickie's legs. Mickie uses her size and strength advantage to power out and then they exchange forearms. Daizee tries for a Thesz press but Mickie catches her and drops her in a modified spinebuster. Back to the forearms. Daizee ducks a forearm and delivers a heart punch and a running Yakuza kick. Double dropkick to the top of the head but Mickie is furious and they are up on the top rope now. Headbutts and punches and Mickie gains control and hits a Belly to belly Superplex for the pin.

3). Nate Webb def. Tracy Smothers

Tracy tells Nate that he needs to lay down and let Tracy pin him or else there would be ultra mega mass homicide going down. Nate lays down but kicks out as LA Warren goes to cover him. Tracy then takes his jacket off so "wives will leave husbands...girlfriends will leave boyfriends...it will be total anarchy" and causes the divorce rate to skyrocket in Plainfield. Tracy then says something about Viagra and doing a moonsault. The match is now underway. Nate Webb apparently keeps pulling Tracy's hair and tights and giving him low blows and Tracy is ready to fight the fans. Nate tries to go to the floor to get Tracy but Tracy starts throwing Nate through the chairs. Brawling on the floor that Tracy dominates. Nate hits Tracy with a green chair right over the back and Tracy is yelling for Nate to be dq'd. Nate send Tracy through the chairs and Tracy blocks several chairshots to the head and bull rushes Nate and then hip tosses him onto the concrete floor and the fight is back on around the ringside area. They return to the ring and Warren gets in the ring and holds Nate for Tracy to hit with the flag but Nate moves and Tracy hits Warren. Nate then hits a spin kick with a chair and gets the pin on Tracy. Tracy tells Nate to get back into the ring "wrestler's honor" and shake his hand. Tracy jumps him "I'm a tweener man" but Nate ducks and delivers a double clothesline. Nate asks where that moonsault is. Tracy says that he will "f*ck you up" and he goes to get into the ring to do the moonsault but hurts his back on his way into ring and promises that "next time" he'll do the moonsault.

4). Davey Richards def. Ian Rotten

Davey wins via submission with an armbar submission. Great mat wrestling/submission style match ala Ian Rotten vs. Tarek the Great from Clarksville. Ian thanks Davey for working him before Ian retires in December and Davey says the pleasure was all his and then announces that he will win the TPI at the end of the month.

5). B.J. Whitmer def. Devon Moore

B.J. Whitmer gets the pinfall after Devon Moore misses a shooting star press. BJ then picks him up and powerbombs him into the turnbuckle and then delivers a Yakuza kick and then another powerbomb to get the victory.

6). Roderick Strong def Ricochet

Roderick is killing Ricochet with chops, forearms and just straight power moves. Ricochet bounces out of a slingshot suplex and goes for an Oklahoma Roll. Ricochet standing on Roderick's chest does a standing shooting star but only 2. Roderick throws Ricochet chest first into the buckles and Ricochet bounds out and gets clotheslined in the back of the head. More chops for Ricochet. Roderick is bending Ricochet in half over his knee. MORE CHOPS for Ricochet. Ricochet uses quickness and delivers a jumping ddt from the second rope but only 2. Ricochet slides out of a suplex and delivers a spin kick but only 2. Roderick with a total package into a backbreaker over the knee! Running forearm standing clothesline into the corner by Roderick. Roderick is destroying Ricochet but Ricochet keeps fighting back and almost winning with all these two counts. Roderick goes for a backbreaker from apron to floor but Ricochet slides out and knocks Roderick to the floor and does a crazy dive onto him from the ring to the floor. Ricochet with some stiff forearms of his own onto Roderick. He ties up Roderick and rolls him forward into a cradle but only 2. Ricochet with a Thesz press double knees to the chest on Roderick but only 2. The momentum has swung to Ricochet but he misses off the top rope and Roderick kills him with a backbreaker and a double knee gutbuster and a kick to the face but Ricochet is in the ropes. Ricochet with a sunset flip off the top but only two. Ricochet going up top again and hits 450 but Roderick kicks out. "This is awesome" chant from crowd. Ricochet goes for double moonsault but Roderick catches him on top and hits a tiger driver for the pin.

Ian Rotten announces that December 8th is the Plainfield, Indiana show that will be his last match as a professional wrestler where he will wrestle Mickie Knuckles in his final match.

7). Chuck Taylor def. Delirious to retain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title

Chuck Taylor applies an anklelock but Delirious gets to the ropes. Chuck then picks up the ref's foot and tries to apply an anklelock "because I'm going to break someone's foot." Delirious gets the crowd to chant "bah" and Chuck Taylor is confused at what to do to get control in the match. Delirious ducks a series of back elbows and clotheslines and hits a crossbody block but only 2. A chop and Chuck squeals like a little girl. Tittie twister by Delirious. Delirious does a headbutt and then asks the ref to rub his head to make it feel better and says "Thanks." Chops from Delirious and Chuck screams. Delirious says "he cries like baby woman." Chuck regains control and yells "it was all a ruse, I never cry." Chuck is working over Delirious. "No one's cheering for you now because you suck." Chuck goes up top but Delirious gives him a headbutt to the midsection on his way down. Forearms from Delirious followed by running clotheslines but only two. Chuck regains control with a dropkick and a neckbreaker but only two. Delirious goes for Shadows Over Hell but Chuck moves and Delirious rolls through. Chuck charges at him but gets hip tossed into the buckles for his troubles. Innovative submission stretch from Chuck involving arms trapping while head scissoring Delirious. Delirious hits Shadows Over Hell but Chuck rolls out. Delirious tries to choke him out but Chuck rolls out and we have several back and forth backslides, rollups and cradles for two counts. Chuck has a chain but Delirious ducks..ref gets in the way in a criss cross and Chuck pushes him aside and drills Delirious with the chain but only gets a 2 count. "Chuck's a bitch" from crowd as Chuck calls for Awful Waffle. Delirious counters with Chemical Imbalance 2 for a two count. Chuck delivers a low blow back kick as Delirious had him in a boot campesque chokehold. Awful Waffle for the pin.

8). Deranged def Chuey Martinez & Hugh Rogue & Youth Suicide Last Man standing Knockout match.

Youth Suicide runs out after the start of the match and the ref allows his entry into the match. Hugh Rogue just took an awful tumble from the ring and landed on the ringsteps and he looks severely injured. Hugh is counted out. Down to three men. Mayhem is everywhere. Lots of broken chairs and blood. A fan in the bleachers is making Chewbacca noises to inspire Chuey. Youth Suicide is eliminated and it is down to Chuey and Deranged. Deranged wins with a pump handle slam onto the top of two open chairs.

9). Six Feet Under def. J.C. Bailey & Ian Rotten in a Fans Bring the Weapons match

Drake Younger almost had his thumb cut off. He has been rushed out of the building to the hospital for stitches. Ian Rotten has ran into the ring to stop the doubleteaming on J.C. Bailey. Sorry but I won't be able to give a bunch of details. I saw Mike Burns had the SMV camera right on the gusher of blood coming from Drake as they tried to duct tape the thumb to keep it in place and block the blood loss. Pure mayhem and carnage in the ring. Ian just drilled Freak Show with the water jug bat. J.C.'s back is just covered in glass shards. B.J. Whitmer has told me that it was the artery at the base of the thumb that got cut on Drake. J.C. got pinned...didn't see how but he was laying on a pile of tubes.
