Babalu fined $25,000 by Nevada State Athletic Commission

In case you don't know what the fine is for, it is for excessively maintaining a submission hold on his UFC 74 opponent David Heath. Babalu tapped Heath out with a choke but didn't release the hold even when Steve Mazagatti tried to pull him off.
The fine is essentially the win bonus he was scheduled to get for winning the fight.
Initially, he told Joe Rogan that he held the hold to teach Heath a lesson. He then told the NSAC in a hearing that he didn't feel it when Heath tapped.
Babalu was released from the UFC a few days later.
So getting kicked out of the UFC and getting fined $25,000 that was one hell of a lesson David Heath learned.
