That's the word from Hansen himself to MMAWeekly
Hansen has been in limbo since his former employer Pride FC was bought by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has done some kick boxing but his last MMA bout was against Jason Ireland at Pride 33 last February in Las Vegas.
The fight in Shooto is against Eiji Mitsuoka who rides a 3-fight winning streak.
Hansen is considered one of the top ranked Lightweights in the world. This is a 1-fight contract, and Hansen did note in the article that he turned down a UFC offer. Time will tell where his future lies after Nov. 8.
