Fedor picks next fight promotion
Send News
Unfortunately for most fight fans, especially those of whom had visions of Fedor-Randy Couture dancing in their heads, it looks like that's not going to happen...probably ever.
According to a fight network report Fedor has signed with the Russian based M-1 promotion.
If the report is true, and there have been false reports of Fedor signings in the past, then that takes the most saught after free agent in the sport off of the market. It also takes him away from the UFC where everyone assumed he would land, and would be another of the Pride champions not to compete in UFC since the former was bought by the latter earlier in 2007.
The reported sticking point between Emelianenko and the UFC centered around Fedor's desire to compete in other organizations doing combat Sambo. UFC was not down with this and it may have been a deal breaker.
More on this as it develops.
