Randy Couture has the following to say in regards to the UFC spin that he has retired from the sport of MMA. The spin comes from the fact that UFC.com features the headline: "Dana White on the retirement of Randy Couture"
“It’s not a retirement,” said Couture Friday, who also works as on-air analyst and ambassador for The Fight Network. “It’s a resignation from the UFC organization.”

There has been a lot of talk regarding Randy's contract status with rumors that it expires in 9 months which Dana White has termed completely false. It is clear to me and anyone who thinks about this for more than 1 second that Randy's words hint that he still wants to fight. He wants to fight one fight, against one man and is willing to do it where ever he can and that is of course Pride Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko.
The fight could take place in the M-1 organization. Speaking of M-1 it appears they have made another major signing.
The site MMAEurope.net reports that former Pride star Ricardo Arona has signed a 4-fight deal with the promotion and his first fight could be against Fedor in December.
