Site News: Pride Review, new writers, top 5 rankings

Send News

A couple of quick site notes.

First, the rest of my Pride 2000 GP Review. Its coming but it may not be before the end of this week. I've been busier than anticipated the past couple of days and could be out of town on Saturday. I promise I will finish it though.

Next up, we're going to be debuting some new writers very shortly. The first of which is Mark Danger who regularly is in our predictions contest and was a guest on our audio show this week, which will be uploaded whenever Euan gets around to it I guess.
He'll be doing some Danger-style wrestling news updates so I hope you'll enjoy those.

The next writer I've asked to introduce himself.

My name is Erik Anderson, i currently live in Spokane, Washington but will be moving to the east coast to start referee training at slamtech university.
I am 24 years old and am currently attending college. I have been watching wrestling for about 20 years and have been reading about the inside happenings
of the business since 2001. I hope to work in the wrestling business after college as a script writer and referee. I have written columns for various
wrestling websites along with doing a radio show for WrestlingRadioNetwork.com where i interviewed wrestlers over the phone. I am also in a band called
Flee The Century and we tour around the united states quite a bit.

Erik will be doing TV recaps and contributing other wrestling content, and we're going to look at some audio stuff in the future.

Lastly, the top 5 rankings I promised for tomorrow. I'm not going to say you won't see them tomorrow as I had said but it is a possibility. I intend to debut 1 weight class a week over 5 weeks but we'll see. I want this to be as thorough as I can by my way of explaining why each person is in my top 5. Yes, these are subjective rankings but all rankings are subjective by nature.

Lastly, I want to reittorate what Art said earlier. Please, if you vote in our poll and vote for "other" let us know what you mean by other. We want this to be your destination for all things combat sports and value imput from you on what we can do differently/better/more of. If you don't tell us what you want to see, how can you expect us to enact it?
