BILL BEHRENS NWA NOTES for 10-8-07
10/6 NWA Anarchy Report by Larry Goodman
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings from the NWA Arena in Cornelia , Georgia , where men are men, and the women and children scream their freaking heads off.
Stories and angles were the order of the day at NWA Anarchy’s first television taping since Fright Night ’07. And everything worked, especially the blockbuster break up the three time NWA Anarchy tag champs, the Urban Assault Squad. No post-big show let down here. Last night’s show drew 200 despite running against the same local fair that kicked ass on them last year.
Bill Behrens opened with a 10 bell salute for indie wrestler Sean Evans, a non-smoker who died of lung cancer on October 1. Former Wildside television announcer Steven Prazak described Evans as “one of wrestling's hopelessly nice guys and one of its most nimble and accommodating, if unheralded, performers.” BB illustrated by telling about the time Evans saved Christopher Sampson from a potentially fatal head first dive into the railing during a match at the NWA Arena.
(1) Salvatore Rinauro beat Tony Santarelli in 8:52. For pure technical execution, this was the best match of the night. It would have fit right in at the Ted Petty. Strong heat as well. Fans were up for the return of Rinauro, especially against a tool like Santarelli. At 2:45, Santarelli gave Rinauro a painful noogie and posted his shoulder. He shredded Rinauro’s shoulder with a variation on the chickenwing crossface and a freaky version of the Gori Especial. When Santarelli applies a hold, it looks like the real deal. A very underrated wrestler. Rinauro managed to protect his shoulder long enough to make a comeback. Enzuigiri for a near fall. Santarelli overpowered Rinauro and got back to work on the shoulder. But Rinauro avoided a basement dropkick, and Santarelli’s crotch rebounded off the bottom rope. That took the starch out of him. Rinauro hit his turnbuckle-assisted Pele kick for another near fall. Rinauro went up top, but Santarelli stunned him with a tornado kick and hit a fallaway slam. They traded heavy blows. Rinauro ducked under one of Santarelli’s bombs and rolled him up for the pin. Santarelli had a fit.
Jeff Lewis entered the ring to a tremendous ovation. Lewis had a HUGE bandage on his forehead to cover the laceration he suffered in the First Blood match at Fright Night.
Attorney/Agent Jeff G. Bailey was shown on the WRESTLEVISION. Well, we heard his voice at least. Bailey said Kory Chavis split Lewis’ head like a melon to where he was covered in blood all the way down to his boots (true). Bailey said he might take care of Lewis himself, but why bother with small potatoes? He said Chavis was lounging on the beach with the bonus money he got nearly making Lewis bleed to death. Bailey advised Lewis to disappear before Chavis came back to take his very life.
Lewis unveiled a twisted, sadomasochistic edge to his persona. He ripped the bandage off and pounded his forehead until the blood was flowing like a river, leaving his face was covered in crimson. Lewis said the NWA Elite had awakened something that was sleeping inside of him. They had created a monster.
“Kory Chavis, when I get my hands on you. It will be YOUR…FINAL…CURTAIN.”
(2) Anger Alliance (Brodie Chase & Brandon Phoenix & Don Matthews) beat Billy Buck & Derrick Driver & Steven Walters in 7:25. Alliance wasn’t in a mood to sell. Works for me. It would have been a sin to give these guys much offense. Buck was on fire at the start. Things went rapidly downhill from there. Phoenix teed off on Walters, who did a corkscrew bump on a missed enzuigiri. The Alliance destroyed Driver with their signature moves, a head and arm suplex by Phoenix , a pumphandle neckbreaker by Chase and a BFK by Matthews. Alliance wasn’t feeling it when it came time to feed for Buck’s hot tag. Matthews pinned Driver with The Lariat. Alliance acted like one big, happy family. Chase did a Flair strut on the way out.
(3) Todd Sexton submitted Chris King with a cross armbreaker at 3:51. Sexton wrestled “Technician” style to lull King into lowering his guard. Sexton then pregnant dog slapped King on the break and gave him a beating. Sexton let King have it with some stiff running kicks to the mouth before locking in the submission.
Sexton addressed the chant for Wes Grissom. He said Grissom got what he deserved at Fright Night. “It’s punks like him that make the business hard for the rest of us.” Grissom came out. The fans love this kid. Grissom demanded a match on the spot. Sexton said no and walked off. Grissom isn’t the kind of babyface that attacks a guy when his back is turned, even a two-faced jerk like Sexton, so he was left with no outlet for his rage and frankly looked a little silly.
(4) Slim J & Adrian Hawkins beat Devils Rejects (Shaun Tempers & Azael with “Reverend” Dan Wilson) via DQ at 7:38 due to interference by the Hollywood Brunettes. The pop for J and Hawkins was an ear splitter. J gets the kids going like nobody else on the roster, and they were hot for him the entire match. J and Hawkins beat up on Tempers. Hawkins used a nice bridging reverse chinlock. He has really turned the corner to where he’s wrestling with a lot more confidence. Rejects doubled up on Hawkins. Azrael did a number on him from a full mount. Hawkins did a leapfrog into a hangman neckbreaker to set up the hot tag. J was a one man wrecking crew. He hit a double falling reverse DDT on the Rejects, but Andrew Alexander & Kyle Matthews attacked Hawkins for the DQ.
Rejects were fixing to use Wilson ’s Staff of Righteousness on J when Awesome Attraction came to the rescue. Great pop for the save. The highlight here was Hayden Young doing an stellar version of The Worm.
Greg Hunter presented Urban Assault Squad (Shadow Jackson & Nemesis) with the giant-size trophy for winning the 2007 Mysterious Benefactor Memorial Tag Team Tournament. The place went wild for UAS as always. They had video package just for the occasion. The feel good moment came to an abrupt end when Nemesis brained Jackson with the trophy. Nemesis’ expression turned cold and dark. Once wasn’t enough. Twice wasn’t either. The third shot made a sick clunking sound on Jackson ’s forehead. Nemesis’ Jackson bled heavily. Nemesis busted up the trophy and jabbed the statue part into Jackson ’s forehead. Security hit the ring. Jackson decked two of them and continued to work Jackson over with the statue. Fans chanted “security sucks.” Can’t really blame them. It was a bad visual. Counting security, the refs, and BB, there were 10 guys out there. All with their thumbs inserted into their rectums. Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer confronted Nemesis about his bad behavior, but remorse isn’t part of the dude’s vocabulary. A truly awesome angle.
Wow. The scorecard for the first post-Fright Night hour of TV reads four programs advanced, two blood angles and one major turn.
During the intermission, BB gave away six pairs of tickets ($45 seats) for TNA’s Bound For Glory at Gwinnett Civic Center .
(5) Mikal Judas destroyed Talent & Money (J. T. Talent & Andrew Pendleton III) in 1:55. Talent & & back jumped Judas and took him down with a double team. Judas got up like it was nothing. Carnage ensued. The end came with one El Crucifijo (Border Toss) apiece for Talent and Pendleton. An impressive squash.
Judas spoke for the first time in NWA Anarchy. “Shatter, I’m coming for you…may God have mercy on your soul.” Judas exited through the front door.
The fans welcomed the return of “Krazy K” Kirby Mack to the NWA Arena. Hunter talked about how Mack had suffered a life-threatening collapsed lung that required surgery. The Brunettes interrupted. “Who might you be?” said Mack. Alexander said Brunettes were the injury specialists and they were going to add Mack to their list. But Seth Delay had Mack’s back leading to…
(6) Kirby Mack & Seth Delay beat Hollywood Brunettes (Kyle Matthews & Andrew Alexander) via DQ in 9:13. Crowd was hot for the team of Mack and Delay. They did a nice old school spot where they took turns clapping Matthew around the ears. Mack was in good form, as he handled Brunettes one against two. The tide turned at the 4 minute mark when Delay went to the top and Alexander upended him. Delay took heat. Alexander tossed him crotch first onto the middle rope. He won’t be De Ladies man for long after moves like that. It was both men down and big time heat for K’s tag. K smoked Alexander with a corner backstabber. K then hit the OverDoSe on Matthews, but Alexander broke up the pin. Delay was taken of the picture, and Brunettes beat on Mack until referee Ken Wallace was forced to call for the bell.
Brunettes weren’t done. They gave Mack the Sheeney’s Curse (gutbuster/top rope double stomp combo) and were setting up for seconds when Hawkins made the save.
(7) Melissa Coates squashed Derek Ryze in 5:37. Crowd was split and didn’t give Coates the usual dose of “she’s a man” heat. Ryze is a small guy from the Carolinas . He was barely taller than Coates, who is 5-4. He did fine, but this was his first appearance at the NWA Arena, so the crowd had nothing for him, and there’s going to be an element of babyface pull for a woman wrestling a man. Coates has added two new power moves to her arsenal, a gutwrench and a pumphandle slam. Coates pinned Ryze with the Facelift.
Postmatch, Coates received a boquet of flower and a card from a secret admirer. She reacted with disgust and threw the flowers at ring announcer Eddie Rich.
(8) Truitt Fields pinned the former champion Jeremy Vain (with Rob Adonis) at 9:02 in his first defense of the NWA Anarchy Television Title. Vain said the 10 minute time limit was unfair, because when he was champion he had to “go 15 minutes with a Marine.” The crowd exploded for Fields. I was told the sustained heat for Vain/Fields at Fright Night was incredible. Vain has some strange ideas about fairness. As Fields tried to enter, Vain blasted him off the apron, rammed his gut into the post and rolled him back inside. Harold James called for the bell, and Vain immediately covered for a two count. Fans wanted an instant comeback and they got one, but Fields crashed and burned on a high crossbody. Vain did wicked things to Field’s solar plexus. Some great facial expression by Fields here. Fields got his knees up on a middle rope splash. That brought Adonis up onto the apron. Palmer intervened with a leather strap and chased Adonis to the back. A full-fledged Fields comeback built to a flying bodypress, but Vain rolled through for a near fall. Not to be denied, Fields caught Vain with the Killing Fields for the win.
Bailey entered the ring with the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, Shatter. Bailey said Fright Night was a walk in the park for his one man walking genocide. Bailey positioned himself as a benevolent version of Michael Vick. The dogs that couldn’t fight got drowned or hung, and as much Judas deserved a similar fate, Bailey settled for seeing him discarded like rubbish by the Universal Soldier. Bailey said Shatter declined to take the night off and called for anyone from the back that had the guts. Iceberg (accompanied by Wilson ) came out to confront Shatter. A gibroni ran out. Iceberg wasted him before he even made the ring. Security must have grown some nuts during the intermission, as they got in between Shatter and Berg. The crowd chanted “let them fight.” Bailey got Shatter to back off and Abomination came out. Judas played spoiler. A-bomb went for the Tree Slam, but Judas blinded him with the red mist and sent him through the ropes with the KICK OF DEATH.
BB came out to make the match for 10/20: Shatter & Abomination vs. the unholy alliance of Judas and Iceberg. Judas and Iceberg glared at each other. Judas headed for the front door, pausing in the bleacher for a pose that figures to be the closing shot for the TV.
Hour number two also did a great job of furthering storylines, especially the big feud on top. And I do mean big. Anarchy is a cruiserweight league no more. Fields got off to a hot start as the TV champ. The key thing is how well he does without Vain as his primary foe. A World's Prettiest/Brunettes program should produce good matches, and it will be interesting to see how the tag champs figure into it.

NWA Anarchy Fright Night 2007 Report not by Larry Goodman
NWA Anarchy presented the 8th Annual Fright Night at the NWA Arena in Cornelia , GA this past Saturday, September 29th 2007. It was a homecoming for the event as the previous year Anarchy hit one of it's first great milestones in expansion as a raucous and rowdy crowd of over 500 fans came out to The Remember When Theatre in Helen , GA. For 2007 it was back to the friendly confines of the legendary NWA Arena, where many of Fright Night's most legendary matches have occured over the years. A full house of Anarchy faithful came to take part in the spectacle. The evening saw a new NWA Anarchy Television Champion, a wild first blood match, a friend turned foe, Benefactor cup winners but not new tag team champions, an insane 6 man no DQ match, the alleged retirement of a major star, the return of a legendary monster, a former champion, and the first battle between what Jerry Palmer called King Kong vs. Godzilla. The event was also a fund-raiser for injured firefighter, Angie Roach, a co-worker of Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer who was burnt severely trying to save someone's life. A portion of the proceeds also went to a cause NWA Anarchy has always believed in, and that is the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
1) The Urban Assault Squad (Nemesis & Shadow Jackson) defeated, The Anger Alliance (Adam Roberts & Don Matthews), The Anger Alliance (Brody Chase & Brandon Phoenix) & The Hollywood Brunettes in around 14 minutes, in a 4 way dance final to become the 2007 & two time Mysterious Benefactor Memorial Tag Team Cup winners as well as earn a shot at becoming the only 4 time champions in the history of NWA Anarchy by taking on The Awesome Attraction (Hayden Young & Austin Creed) later on in the evening for the gold.
- This match was all UAS. The packed house was at a molten level of noise & excitement all night, and seeing perhaps their all time favorite tag team take home a much deserved 2nd MBMTTC Trophy almost cracked the foundation of the arena via decibals before the night even began. Nemesis & Don Matthews exchanged a chop war for the ages. There was some obvious friendly competition between the Anger Alliance in this contest and one instance that got 2/4ths of their unit eliminated. The Hollywood Brunettes were their usual crafty selves isolating Nemesis and really doing a number on him but he was able to finally spot a loophole and make the tag to Jackson and the fans exploded. Jackson cleans house and gets the 1,2,3.
- Anarchy Colour Analyst John "The Body" Johnson was in the ring with the returning former 2 time NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion and high ranking NWA World Heavyweight Title contender, "Technical Perfection" Chad Parham.
Johnson debuted a tribute package to Parham, showing many of his career highlights as champion. It was spliced in with people like George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, and Vince McMahon "telling" us (ever watch Conan O'Brien?) that Chad was Numero Uno. Parham then announced his retirement from NWA Anarchy, stating that he accomplished more than most men dream of and he was bowing out on top so that his legacy couldn't be tarnished. Johnson then presented him a Certificate Of Awesomeness that read:
AWARDED TO “TECHNICAL PERFECTION” CHAD PARHAM
Be it known that on Saturday, September 29, 2007, “Technical Perfection” Chad Parham was awarded the first ever Certificate Of Awesomeness, voted & presented by the many NWA fans of Chad Parham and other knowledgeable wrestling persons living and dead.
This certifies that “Technical Perfection” Chad Parham (“Numero Uno”) is not only awesome but also a Living Legend, the Best There Is, Was & Every Will Be, the Showstopper, the Game, the Franchise, The Nature Boy, the Eighth Wonder of The World, He’s Simply Ravishing, Phenomenal, the Instant Classic, the Big, Bad, Booty Daddy, the Total Package, and the man who epitomizes the American Dream. He is the man called Chad Parham, wrestling’s only two time Anarchy Heavyweight Champion.
The Anarchy fans expressed their disgust and Parham left like he'd just won the presidency.
2) Melissa Coates & Tony Santerelli defeated "The Technician" Todd Sexton & Wes Grissom in around 11 minutes:
- Grissom was in most of the match and took one heck of a beating. Melissa Coates is proving that she can hold her own with men in the ring. This lady is the real deal. The wrestling world has seen this once before in the past, and then you could tell obvious concessions were made to give that woman a fighting chance...not with Melissa Coates. She can't find any women that will wrestle her, and several men are re-thinking that decision as well. Santerelli showed off his mat skills again by twisting and turning Grissom many different ways. Wes finally made the tag...Sexton cleaned house momentarily then tagged Grissom right back in. Santerelli locked him an a version of the octopus hold and Sexton refused to help him and Grissom finally tapped out after a strong effort. Then after the match "The Technician" laid out Grissom with the Superkick! Todd Sexton left the arena to more boos possibly than any time in his career.
3) "The Soul Assassin" Kory Chavis defeated "The Feature Presentation" Jeff Lewis in a First Blood match, when Jeff G. Bailey slipped Chavis a roll of quarters in around 9 minutes.
- There was alot of emotion going into this match. If you remember, Jeff Lewis stood up for himself when Bailey pushed the former Anarchy Heavyweight & 2 time TV Champion to the backburner in favor of his new pet projects "The Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter & the return of one of Bailey's all time great successes "The Soul Assassin" Kory Chavis. He knocked Jeff G. Bailey on his ass, and was mugged by his former Elite cohorts. Lewis has proven himself as a world class wrestler, and through the battles with The Devil's Rejects became a first class brawler via trial by fire. Lewis pounded away on the head of Chavis and the glisten on the forehead of the Soul Assassin seemed to indicate he may have taken some preventative measures to stop bleeding prior to the match. It was a knock down drag out affair, but in the end this battle was won with sheer trickery. With the ref distracted, the roll of quarters served plenty well to bust Lewis open. A bloodied Lewis had some impassioned words for Bailey backstage after the match. That interview will be seen on NWA Anarchy TV's recap edition of Fright Night, coming soon!
4) The Devil's Rejects ("The Sleeper Cell" Shaun Tempers, "The Son Of Satan" Azrael, & "Violent Passion" Patrick Bentley) w/ The Reverend defeated "The Real" Slim J, Adrian Hawkins, & the returning "Seven Figure Deal" Ace Rockwell in a violent, bloody no DQ street fight in around 15 minutes.
- The match started as 3 on two as only Slim J & Hawkins came out to start, but at first that was all they needed. They jumped The Rejects immediately and Slim J hit an unbelievable corkscrew plancha on the regrouping family. The numbers advantage eventually over-whelmed Slim & Adrian and The Rejects prepared to finish Slim J once and for all at the hands of Patrick Bentley's Dark Driver off the top rope onto a chair, but to everyone's shock ACE ROCKWELL came to the rescue allowing Slim J to escape certain doom. Rockwell took the staff of Righteousness away from the Reverend and cracked it over his back! Rockwell then cleaned house with the staff on the rest of the Rejects allowing the heroes to regroup and make this an even fight as Adrian Hawkins hit an incredible Asai Moonsault then a Van Terminator on Azrael and Slim J hit a springboard falling double reverse DDT on both Tempers & Bentley. The fight broke down to 1 on 1 brawls and that left Tempers & Rockwell in the ring. The former tag team partners & best friends renewed their classic rivalry in a big way until a key reveral sent the match in the Rejects favor for good. Rockwell attempted to give Tempers the Aces High off the top through a table, but Tempers reversed it into a super Beelzebomb off the top which sent Rockwell crashing through the table. With Rockwell out of comission, this made it 3 on 2 again until Tempers & Azrael hit the Hellhammer on Hawkins, making it 3 on 1 and while Slim J fought his heart out, Patrick Bentley hit the Dark-Driver for the 1,2,3 giving The Rejects their biggest victory at Fright Night to date.
5) The Awesome Attraction ("Awesome"Austin Creed & "The Attraction" Hayden Young) defeated The Urban Assault Squad to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Championship in around 10 minutes.
- Great back and forth match and not near the reaction you normally get in a match featuring two fan favorite teams. The noise for this one was as loud as any other match on the card. You had two teams, so wildly popular with the fans that they couldn't choose a winner but ate the competition between the two teams up. Nemesis and Hayden Young continued their trash talking which turned into fists being the only thing to do the talking. UAS controlled the majority of the match, but a miscalculation and a head on accidental collisoin between the heads of Shadow & Nemesis left Nemesis right in the way of a KO punch from Creed and a Flying Squirell from Young, which allowed the champs to pick up the victory and retain. The post match saw a briefly heated exchange between Jackson & Nemesis but they both calmed down, embraced and thanked the fans.
6) Truitt Fields defeated Jeremy Vain to win the NWA Anarchy Television Championship in a Fans Participation Strap Match in seconds before the 15 minute time limit:
These two have had many, many encounters. Many of them have been great, some perhaps classics. This was the best of all of them. Never had Fields' motivation been so strong to win the title, and never had Vain's desperation to hang on to the belt been so powerful. Both men pulled out all the stops. Vain got thrown into the lion's den a couple times but Mr. Adonis was there to shield him. Palmer finally neutralized Adonis and Vain got a few licks of what was coming to him via the leather straps. Fields was also sent out to the lions den a few times, but aahh isn't it moments like this when being on the fan's good side really comes in helpful? He left unscathed. With the ref distracted, Adonis tried to save the title for Vain, but Jerry Palmer had enough and finally got his hands on Vain's overgrown bodyguard and laid him out with a Stunner as the roof came off the building. This saw Vain snatch a strap from a fan's hands and start pummelling Fields, but he was somehow able to endure the pain and comeback! Vain dropped the strapped and begged forgiveness but he couldn't run away from The Killing Fields, nor could he avoid losing his coveted Championship.
7) "The Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter defeated Mikal Judas to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Championship.
- This was as big league as it gets. Two men of mammoth size, cat like agility and the strength of 100 men blasting each other with heavy handed blows and implementing the best stategy they had in what turned out to be a main event for the ages. It was back and forth in the early going until Shatter gained control and maintained it for awhile. When Judas started firing back, referee Brent Wiley was errantly struck and went down in the chaos. Judas spat a mouthful of blood in the eyes off Shatter and hit the chokeslam scoring a visual fall that everyone in the arena counted along with. Judas tried reviving Wiley, but didn't realize Abomination had appeared and was standing right behind him drilling Judas with The Final Solution. Wiley started to come too, and Shatter made the pin, 1, 2, KICKOUT!!!! The entire arena was on it's feet. Shatter then hit the PTSD Powerbomb twice, and that was enough to score the pin over the challenger. In the post-match Judas sat up immediately and chased Abomination out the front door and Dominous appeared getting involved in the brawl outside the arena. With Shatter & Bailey alone in the ring, the lights went out and a bizarre history of serial killers video appeared on the screen listing people like The Zodiac Killer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer and more and their respective body counts. The last line read....and then there was one. When the lights came on, "THE NO PAIN TRAIN" ICEBERG making his long awaited return with The Reverend had appeared and went nose to nose with Shatter!!!.This sent all Anarchy security and refs out to break up this melee. The message was clear. Shatter had something that Iceberg feels belongs to him. The Anarchy Heavyweight Championship. This ended one exciting night of wrestling, and another legendary Fright Night is in the books.
- Notes: Anarchy Returns on October 6th with a TV Taping featuring "The Fright Night Fallout". Jeremy Vain cashes in his rematch clause vs. Truitt Fields, The Rejects (Tempers/Azrael) take on Slim J & Adrian Hawkins in a tag team match. The Urban Assault Squad accepts their 2007 MBMTTC Trophy. Tony Santerelli takes on the returning Sal Rinauro. Sexton takes on Chris King. Mikal Judas in a handicapped match vs. Talent & Money and much more!!!

NWA Anarchy TV Report by Ca$hflowX
Episode 83
October 1, 2007
The NWA Anarchy TV Report is finally upon us after driving from South Dakota to Virginia, attending the NWA Southern Pro Clash of Champions, revisiting old friends and driving from Virginia to South Dakota straight through without sleeping, preparing for homecoming and participating in the Midget Olympics.
WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!
- Last week on NWA Anarchy TV, in what John Johnson described as a Chinese fire drill, the Urban Assault Squad battled the Awesome Attraction to a double countout; Sal Rinauro received a rude reception from the NWA Elite upon his return to the NWA Arena. This week we have a pair of rematches, Truitt Fields battles Jeremy Vain for the NWA Anarchy TV Title and “King of Cornelia” Chad Parham seeks revenge against the pesky NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Ace Rockwell. Johnson believes Rockwell’s dreams will turn to nightmares, so he’d better enjoy drinking Kool Aid in his BMW while he is champion.
1. The Devil’s Rejects (Azreal & Shaun Tempers & Patrick Bentley) w/Dominous & Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness destroyed Steven Walters & Derek Driver & Kaleb Konley.
Tonight’s designated enhancement talent for the Rejects successfully fight off a premeditated attack. The Rejects eventually takes over when Azreal no sells several chops by Driver. Johnson notes that every time the Rejects lose a major battle, they become stronger. The Rejects take turns pummeling poor Driver including Bentley humbling him. After commercial, Konley receives the hot tag, cleans house and scores a near fall with a swinging neckbreaker variation using his ankle. The offensive onslaught is only momentary: Azreal & Tempers destroy Driver with a crucifix backbreaker. Bentley finishes off Konley with the Dark Driver.
- Afterwards, Slim J slithers into the ring and confronts Bentley. Slim reminds Bentley that, “we’re not done yet, BUSTER~!” Wilson holds Bentley back and commands the Satanic Pyromaniac and the Sleeper Cell to take care of his light work. Slim manhandles them early on and uses Azreal as a springboard to launch an assault on Tempers. Azreal takes exception with an incredibly nasty looking DDT. The new Anarchy champ, Ace Rockwell, has seen enough and launches an assault on Tempers. Bentley sneaks in and smashes Rockwell’s knee with the Staff of Righteousness. Slim receives a sick looking double team inverted DDT from Azreal and Tempers. The Rejects leave both men laying alone in the ring after a devastating attack.
- Greg Hunter is like EF Hutton, when he speaks, chaos ensues. Wait a minute, didn’t I say that last week? Bill Behrens enters the scene and admits they don’t have any word on Rockwell’s condition. When all is said and done, Tony Santerelli pays Behrens a visit and shows him love with a brotherly hug. Remember kids, hugs not drugs. Santerelli blathers at Behrens because Jerry Palmer is busy. Behrens lectures Santerelli and takes special offense to Santerelli’s claim to be just as good as the Phenomenal 1. Behrens tells Santerelli to get the hell away, but it’s Behrens who walks off.
2. Truitt Fields pinned Jeremy Vain w/Mr. Rob Adonis to a draw. Vain retains the NWA Anarchy TV Title because the 10 minute time limit had expired.
Fields dazzles Vain and Mr. Adonis early on with amazing feats of strength. Vain seeks an escape route, but Fields clubs him across the chest and back into the ring. Meanwhile, we have another fan letter from Virginia . Johnson shouts out to Q. T. Ooky and P Funk. Ooky would rather adorn a pit bull than spend time with Greg Hunter. LOL! Back to the match, Vain sends Fields flying with a dropkick. Mr. Adonis uses his finely crafted Italian shoes to stomp a mudhole in Fields. After commercial, Vain humbles Fields. Fields escapes with a forearm dive. Fields mounts an offensive flurry with less than a minute left. Fields smells victory, but Adonis distracts him by grabbing his leg. Vain obliterates Fields with a superkick for 2¾. Finally, the bell magically rings to answer Johnson’s command. The crowd demands five more minutes and Vain obliges! Like Bobby Heenan, he enjoys kicking a man when he’s down and promptly does so. Fields fights back, but Vain lands the VKO. Fields escapes the VDT, but slips off of Vain. Vain slaps on a reverse chinlock. Fields escapes and wins with the Truitt Slam. It appears we have a new TV champion, but Mr. Adonis notes otherwise. Ring announcer Eddie Rich confirms Adonis’s assertion by announcing the pinfall occurred after the time limit expiration.
COMMENTS: This match was much better wrestled than the previous meetings. The idea of Fields pinning Vain after the time limit puts forth the thought of the big payoff down the road. Late in the match, Johnson made a good cover when Vain slipped away from Fields.
3. “Walking One Man Genocide” Phil Shatter w/Jeff G Bailey & Abomination squashed “Delicious” Don Juan.
Bailey promised to turn Don Juan into a human cue ball, “the harder he hits him, the more English he gets out of him.” Hunter gasps in disbelief. Shatter delivers on Bailey’s promise of the Elite’s path of violence and destruction by destroying Don with a sidewalk slam, DVD, a powerslam and a squash. The massacre continued as Shatter pulled up Don Juan at every pin attempt. Finally, Don Juan had enough and escapes a turnbuckle charge. He lands a clothesline and a foot to the head. Shatter counters a middle rope dive with a spinebuster. Bailey orders Don Juan’s execution and Shatter finishes him off with the PTSD.
COMMENTS: This was a great old school squash that got Shatter over as a monster heel. d**n, did it have to be the uber popular Don Juan that had to be squashed?
4. Ace Rockwell pinned Chad Parham to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
There’s nothing more awesome than the local lead heel donning a Michael Vick jersey to rub it in to the crowd. Rockwell’s music plays and out comes NWA Owner Jerry Palmer. Palmer enlightens Parham to Rockwell’s condition and refuses to allow the Seven Figured Deal to wrestle tonight. Parham receives a roaring pop after telling Palmer to shut the hell up. Parham commands Palmer to allow tonight’s sacrificial lamb to wrestle to reclaim his championship. Rockwell hobbles to ringside, but Palmer says he will not allow him to wrestle. Being the fighting champion Rockwell is, he enters the ring. Hunter calls Rockwell stupid. Wait a minute I thought that was Larry Zbyszko’s line. Rockwell pummels and outhustles Parham in the opening moments. Rockwell drops to his knees after delivering a backdrop. Johnson announces Bad Newz Kennels as the new official sponsor of NWA Anarchy Wrestling. I’m sure the King of Cornelia would endorse that statement. Parham easily gains the advantage by clipping Rockwell. Parham pulls of Rockwell’s bandage and works over his exposed knee. Parham cinches in several leglock submission maneuvers including the stretch muffler. Rockwell grabs the rope to rise up, but Parham clubs him in the knee. Parham finally goes to town with the Figure 4, WHOO~! Unfortunately for Parham, the referee catches him using the ropes for leverage. Rockwell withes in pain as Parham kicks his bad knee. Parham slaps on another Figure 4 and Rockwell is in mind numbing pain. Johnson suggests that Rockwell should have remained back stage to watch Punky Brewster. Rockwell finally rallies behind the crowd and reverses the Figure 4. Parham scorns the referee and delivers another boot to the knee. Parham seeks a third Figure 4, but Rockwell kicks him into the exposed turnbuckle and rolls him up to win the match!!!! Palmer celebrates with Rockwell as Parham . Iceberg hops into the ring to confront Rockwell face to face. “The Altar of Human Mutilation” Iceberg stares him down, laughs and walks away. That visual was worth a million bucks.
COMMENTS: These two put a great match and perfectly executed the storyline despite Rockwell’s injury. The finish made perfect sense. Parham’s second run as champion will always be remembered as possibly his greatest and most fun championship run. Palmer trying to holding back Rockwell made the champion seem week, but in the end it fit into the grand scheme of things.

Freddie's Auction House in Columbia , TN
Match One
Mr. Impact JT Quest w/ Xstacy def Blu via KO. A new
face in NWA:Main Event, Blu got a rough welcome from
Mr. Impact and Xstacy. After a failed spash into the
turnbuckle, Quest KOed Blu with a tazzmission type
hold. Quest then hung Blu up on the ropes and geared
up to hit him with the crowbar. He then stepped back
and decided not to use the weapon on the defenseless
masked man. What is changing with Mr.Impact?
Match Two
Shane Smalls def “The Ice Man’ Chris Eckos via
pinfall. This X-Division match saw Smalls looking to
gain the Number One Contender spot for the X-Division
Title. Smalls has gotten a new bad attitude of late,
and secretly used a chain he had hidden in the
turnbuckle on Eckos for the win. After the match
Brandon Stone hit the ring to stop Smalls abuse of
Eckos. Stone caught a wicked chair shot from Smalls
and had to be carried out of the building and sent to
the hospital. Reports have come in that Stone has been
released, but is not recovering very well.
Match Three
Michael White w/ Paul Adams def Antonio Cathey via
pinfall. Antonio wanted a shot at White after he was
attacked by him last week. Again, this match saw Paul
Adams getting involved as well as Michael White
proving he is a dirty wrestler. Antonio started making
some ground up. He hit a sunset flip, but White was
able to grab Paul Adam’s towel from Paul and hang onto
it for leverage, without the ref seeing, getting the
cheap pin on Cathey.
Match Four
Psycho Medic def SteveO via pinfall. SteveO had his
hands full with Psycho Medic in the ring, and two
other members outside the ring (D’Angelo and LA
Player). Medic soon took control after SteveO started
strong (throwing all three men out of the ring) Medic
looked to have the match in the bag, when SteveO fired
back. The end saw Medic outside the ropes and SteveO
trying to suplex him back into the ring. As LA Player
distracted the referee D’Angelo pulled SteveO’s legs
out from under him and held him down allowing Medic to
gain the cover. The ref counted 1-2-3 and the
Syndicate Crew stole another one.
Main Event
Robbie Ruffin & Tommy Capone def The Syndicate Crew
(LA Player & D’Angelo) via pinfall. Capone started
this match and threw the Crew’s confidence for a loop.
The Crew came back and Ruffin took some abuse while
Capone waited to tag in. After a huge come back and
tag in, Ruffin isolated D’Angelo rolling him up for a
quick counted pin.
After the match the Crew members confronted Nwa
Referee Adam R claiming the ref made a fast count
AGAIN. Psycho Medic hit the ring with a kendo stick
and told his Crew members to relax and forget about
it. He then turned back and nailed the ref in the
stomach with the stick. This started a brutal beat
down of referee Adam R. After a double suplex, kicks,
and leg drops. Robbie Ruffin, Tommy Capone, and SteveO
hit the ring to save the unconscious referee. What
will these actions mean for the Syndicate Crew and the
NWA?

Brothers

Saint, Colin Olsen, and Super Xtremo in a non-title

the Indytational tournament as due to unforeseen
circumstances he was unable to compete)
Stargazer & Puerto Rican Hercules (w/Luis Whiteshoes)
defeated The Super Assassin & Jonny Puma
JP Black defeated Oman Tortuga
"Fabulous" John McChesney (w/Star Rider) defeated NWA
Pro TV Champion Judas Young in a non-title match to
advance in the tournament
NWA Upstate World Champion Jimmy Olsen defeated No
Limits Champion Cheech to advance in the tournament
Big Cat Lemmer defeated Triple X in a very brutal and
bloody street fight.
John McChesney (w/Star Rider) defeated Sterling James
Keenan. McChesney was able to sneak out the victory
over his fellow Star Foundation member using
questionable tactics leaving SJK none too pleased.
Jimmy Olsen defeated Danny Doring via rollup after
injuring his back during the course of the match.
Frank The Tank won the Rochester Rumble
Dunn & Marcos (w/Nikki Jett) retained the NWA Upstate
Tag Team Titles over CloudLee ("The Right Stuff"
Brodie Lee and Cloudy) in a very hard fought match up.
Following the match Rhythm & Booze came out and Frank
cashed in his title shot from winning the Rumble.
Rhythm & Booze (w/Col. Kayfabe) went on to defeat Dunn
& Marcos (w/Nikki Jett) for the Tag Team Titles.
John McChesney (w/Star Rider) defeated Jimmy Olsen in
the finals to become the first Indytational champion.
Lots of interference from Star Rider early on causing
SJK to return to ringside seemingly to even the odds
as he was upset over his partner cheating to beat him
early on. McChesney was able to take control for most
of the match going right after Jimmy’s back that was
injured earlier on. After an exchange of very near
falls between the two it seemed Jimmy had the match
won after his facebuster/piledriver combination, but
then Star Rider interjected himself, distracting the
ref while SJK showed his true colors and delivered a
devastating boot to Jimmy setting up McChesney for the
win. The three of them celebrated, what was obviously
a plan all along, while McChesney held up Olsen’s NWA
Upstate Title. So it would seem we know exactly what
McChesney’s intensions are with that open contract he
now has.
North American Heavyweight Champion Damien Wayne:
"I want Pearce!"
( Murfreesboro , NC ) Current North American Heavyweight Champion 'Mr. Mid Atlantic' Damien Wayne was in the World Title hunt once before. He was involved in the NWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Unfortunately, DW was eliminated by Chad Parham.
DW enjoyed being in the World Title hunt. He made it his mission to get back into the mix for the World Title. DW defeated NWA Virginia State Champion Pharaoh at the NWA Legends Convention in Charlotte this summer for the right to face then North American Champion Dru Onyx in Las Vegas .
DW turned that victory against Pharaoh into an unstoppable winning streak. DW went on to defeat Onyx and has successfully defended the title against such Mid Atlantic superstars as Pharaoh, KC McKnight, and Joey Silvia. He defended the title against Grail on 10/5 in West Point , Virginia .
In this video, Damien Wayne lets the world know that he wants NWA World Title Gold around his waist, and he will stop at nothing to get it.

Recap: 'The Geordie Bulldog' Sean Denny's Shot
at NWA World Championship Gold
World Champion Pearce Praises Challenger
( Hertford , NC ) Sean Denny idolized many NWA World Champions as a young lad in England . He was proud of the first NWA World Champion from England, Gary Steele. He was honored when he was told he had earned an NWA World Title shot. He trained hard, and was very humble in his comments about the shot at World Title gold.
The Old School Empire, however, had other plans. Filled with envious hatred and boiling over with resentment, Shy, the former girlfriend and agent for Denny, hatched a plan that involved the Old School Empire. A devious plot that possibly ruined Sean Denny's chance at precious NWA World Championship Gold.
See the video. Watch as Denny valiantly goes after NWA World Champion Adam Pearce and hear Pearce's words after the match is over. Hear the praise that Pearce has for Denny. Then listen as Denny declares war on The Old School Empire.
Ultimately, when Denny, and his brother and partner in The Geordie Bulldogs, Markie D, mix it up with The Old School Empire, violence is going to be prevelant and the order of the day.
