Alternative Pro Wrestling is back in Royston, GA, tonight at the Royston Gym, with matches getting underway at 8:00 PM. Call (706) 680-3234 for more info.
Georgia Wrestling Federation will be in Summerville, GA, tonight at the GWF Arena, with action beginning at 8:00 PM. Call (706) 936-2901 for more info.
Georgia Wrestling Promotions has announced some schedule changed for their upcoming events. They had originally planned to move into their own arena in
Jasper, GA, later this month, but that has changed. GWP will still be in Waleska, GA, on November 10. However, all previously announced dates beyond
that have changed. They will be in Woodstock, GA, on December 8, at the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency Building. Also, on December 23, they will
run at the
Hot Wheels Skate Center in Woodstock. More details to come later.

Five years ago today, Georgia Wrestling History launched at exactly 6:05 PM ET, to coincide with the infamous ‘Turner Time’ start of “Georgia Championship
Wrestling” program on WTBS. We would like to thank all of our visitors over the last five years who have supported us through thick and thin.
Georgia Wrestling History would like to wish a happy birthday today to Abdullah the Butcher (71) and Sharmell (33).
NOSTALGIA
1945: Al Massey defeated Wally Greb in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones.
1953: Ray Villmer defeated Roy Graham in two straight falls to retain the Southern Heavyweight Title at the William Bell Auditorium in Augusta for Georgia
Championship Wrestling promoter Tom Mahoney. Villmer had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Don McIntyre on October 16,
1953, in Atlanta. In the main event, Bob Ford, Don & Red McIntyre defeated Wild Man Zimm & the Horseshoe Kids (Bobby Lane & Tarzan Hewitt).
1956: Don & Bill ‘Red’ McIntyre defeated Freddie & Billy Blassie in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Paul Jones, who acted as special referee for the match.
1960: A main event match between Freddie Blassie and Danny Miller was ruled a no contest at the Columbus Sports Arena for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Fred Ward.
1962: The Kentuckians (Jake Smith & Luke Brown) defeated Freddie Blassie & Mr. Moto in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Don McIntyre. It was reported that the World Heavyweight Title was held up until Blassie, the reigning champion, signed to defend
against Jake Smith. Blassie agreed to wrestle Smith on November 9, 1962.
1964: The Mysterious Medics defeated Buddy Fuller & Chief Little Eagle in the main event at the William Bell Auditorium in Augusta for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Steve Manderson.
1965: Bob Boyer defeated Mario Galento to win the US Junior Heavyweight Title at the Macon City Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred
Ward. It is unclear as to how Mario Galento came to be recognized as US Junior Heavyweight Champion. The last reference we have shows Wildman Phillips
defending the title against Bob Boyer on July 27, 1965, in Macon.
1968: Johnny Valentine defeated Paul DeMarco at the WQXI Studios. DeMarco had to be carried from the ring after the match. This was taped for the “Atlanta
TV Wrestling” television program hosted by Ed Capral.
1971: Bill Dromo & George Scott defeated Bill White & Buddy Colt in the main event at the Macon Coliseum for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred
Ward.
1973: Jack Brisco defeated Dory Funk, Jr., in a match billed as the ‘Match of the Century’, to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal
Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. Brisco had been the reigning champion since he defeated Harley Race on July 20, 1973,
in
Houston, TX. Also, Bill Watts defeated Mr. Wrestling #2 to win the Georgia Heavyweight Title. Wrestling #2 had been the reigning champion since he defeated
Watts on August 31, 1973, in Atlanta.
1976: The Mongolian Stomper, managed by J.J. Dillon, defeated Jos LeDuc in the main event at the Macon Coliseum for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter
Fred Ward.
1979: Stan Hansen defeated Ernie Ladd, managed by Bobby Heenan, to win the Georgia Television Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. It is unclear at this time how Ladd became recognized as champion. The last reference we have is Ray Candy defending the
title against the Sheik on September 21, 1979, in Atlanta.

The Ring Announcer welcomes the crowd to LWL’s 2nd Anniversary and comments on how there is only standing room inside the Legend’s Members Club this evening.

Platinum Paige vs. Kris Navarro

The contest starts with an arm-drag by Navarro, followed quickly by a couple of hip-tosses and an Enzuguri. The fans clap, Paige cuts Navarro off with
a short elbow, and chokes him with his boot. Kicks to the back and chops to front and back follow as he starts to control the match, a snap suplex gets
the first pinfall attempt of the night (for a two count). Paige knees Navarro in the back and applies a chin-lock “You’re not cheering for him now” the
fans start clapping and slamming against the tables. Paige locks Navarro in a mid-ring sleeper hold, after Navarro’s hand drops twice he fights back. Ducking
two clothesline attempts before hitting a flying head scissors and a wheelbarrow into an arm-drag. Following up with a Spear but that only manages a two
count (as Paige gets his foot on the ropes). A second Spear misses and Paige quickly follows up with a German suplex for a close near fall, and a huge
T-Bone suplex but that gets 2 also (so he berates the referee for the lack of 3 count). Paige sets up for his Impaler finisher but Navarro rolls him up
for the 1, 2 and 3.

Match Time: 9 minutes Winner: Kris Navarro

My Thoughts: That was a good back and forth match to start LWL’s 2YA show! Navarro’s performance was good once again and Paige showed a good improvement
over last month’s slightly shaky match. I was gutted about no Sykes vs. Navarro 2 after they put on a fantastic match last month, and to be honest I still
am (hope to see that feud continued at some point down the line) but this was a good way to kick off the show.

‘Mr #1’ Jonny Costello vs. Sik Nik Dutt

Costello plays limbo with the microphone cable, the match starts with a clap-off which Dutt wins. Lock up Costello with power advantage pushes Dutt down,
second time around Dutt reverses and shoulder-blocks and hip-tosses Costello down to the mat. Costello rolls out of the ring and rings the bell! Dutt follows
with a dropkick through the ropes, Costello steals a fan’s water bottle and then pulls Dutt out. Costello hits Dutt with a throat chop and another before
chopping the steel ring post! Dutt takes control slamming Costello’s hand on tables, etc. Costello kicks the rope as Dutt returns “I’m a Champion/You’re
a Bell-End” shouting contest. Costello clotheslines Dutt right on the bridge of the nose, so Dutt in return drops him on his head with a Hurracanrana for
a two count. Dutt follows up with a whip/bulldog and splash combination for another two count as Costello’s foot is on the ropes. Dutt attempts the tornado
DDT but Costello reverses into a full nelson slam for the 1, 2 and 3. The fans clap for Dutt as he leaves.

Match Time: 12 minutes Winner: ‘Mr #1’ Jonny Costello

My Thoughts: Another enjoyable match, good back and forth contest between the two competitors. Mis-timed clothesline and hurrancanrana added a lot to intensity
of the match and were real OUCH moments! Costello showed he can wrestle and brawl as well as he wrestles comedy matches. Dutt put forth another good performance
and that made another good match for the LWL fans to enjoy.

Mad Dog Maxx w/ ‘Mr #1’ Jonny Costello vs. Tracy Smothers

Pre match:

Maxx endears himself to the crowd “Shut your stinking mouths up! I’ll kick your teeth down your throat” Smothers enters to a huge roar from the crowd,
causing Maxx & Costello to roll out to the floor. Maxx is both cheered and booed as he takes the microphone “I’m a wrestler/you’re a fat t***” he shouts
at a fan. “If he (Smothers) touches my s***, kill him” he tells Costello. “Shut your mouth and listen to me! You may have wrestled 3 bears but tonight
you’re wrestling a Mad Dog. You’re a rebel, a cheat and scummy. But you’re a great wrestler and the king of the dance-off” Fans start a “Tracy Smothers,
Tracy Smothers” chant, Tracy takes the mic “Are you all having a good time! Is it good to be alive and in Wolverhampton, Tonight!” The fans cheer loudly,
“Was that the biggest piece of crap you have ever heard! You Costello are a transplant rebel and I’m going to put your head up you’re ass. By the time
this match is done you’ll have a different respect for me and all these fans”.

Match:

Fans chant “Tracy, Tracy” once more as Maxx rolls out. “Mad Dog sucks” chant starts up “Mad Dog doesn’t suck” he replies. “Old poodle” is shouted out by
a fan! Smothers and Maxx lock up and after a clean break Maxx accuses Smothers of pulling his hair (which he hasn’t done). Waist-locks are traded with
Smothers adding a snap-mere once again Maxx complains of hair pulling. The fans clap and after reversing an arm-lock Maxx pulls Smothers by the hair to
the mat! “Cheat” chant starts up, Wrist-lock once more this time Smothers gets the advantage and pulls Maxx’s hair. Maxx shouts “Tracy’s been pulling my
hair, tights, poking my eyes and punching my balls!” and then challenges him to a dance off. The first 2 vs. 1 dance-off I have seen, Maxx and Costello
have some moves (but the fans still boo), Smothers is the king and wins yet another dance-off. Smothers misses a back elbow and gets caught by a vicious
lariat by Maxx for a close near-fall. Smothers pokes Maxx in the eyes and hits a Flatliner for a two count. Maxx returns with a spine buster of his own
“I swear to god it’s over!” but it isn’t. Costello tries to distract Smothers but gets forearmed for his troubles, he has distracted Smothers long enough
for Maxx to hit a chain assisted lariat for the 1, 2 and 3. The fans boo loudly at Maxx & Costello and cheer loudly for Smothers with “Tracy, Tracy and
Please don’t go” chants.

Match Time: 23 minutes Winner: Mad Dog Maxx

My Thoughts: Well that was just superb! Not the most complex match but it didn’t need to be. Smothers and Maxx showed just how to play with a crowd’s emotions
to the best effect with the match produced. The best atmosphere I have experienced since I have covered LWL shows, Maxx and Smothers put on a good wrestling
match, with great crowd interaction and a dance-off. That left a lot of fans very happy and the fans that had strangely never heard of Tracy Smothers before,
now have a new hero! Great stuff all around.

INTERMISSION

Dan Ryder & Marcus Kool vs. Steve Valentino & ‘Metro-Sexual’ Danny Devine

Valentino jaws with the crowd “Old woman bow down, before me”, “Your both faggots” chant starts up directed at Devine & Valentino. “Emo” chant is directed
at Valentino and a “Let’s go Ryder” chant also. Valentino kicks Ryder and Judo throws him to the canvas, “Valentino/He’s an emo” duelling chant. Valentino
applies the arm-lock, Ryder skilfully turns it into a swinging arm-lock and reverses out! Ryder quickly follows up with a Japanese arm-drag and an arm-lock
of his own before Valentino tags in Devine and Ryder tags in Kool. Kool hit’s the 6-1-9 on Devine or so he thought, Devine amazingly catches Kool and applies
the Sharpshooter! It’s not locked in for long though, due to a Ryder Enzuguri, Valentino kicks Ryder’s injured leg and Devine locks in the Sharpshooter
on Ryder. Kool connects with a Superkick on Devine knocking him into the ropes for a 6-1-9 which Kool hits this time, Ryder struggling through the pain
climbs up to the top rope and connects with a picture perfect 450 splash for the 1, 2 and 3. Kool rolls Devine out of the ring and the fans clap Ryder
& Kool.

Match Time: 19 minutes Winner: Dan Ryder & Marcus Kool

My Thoughts: Well that was an absolutely tremendous tag team match! From bell to bell it had everything a great tag match has, energy, isolation of one
man (Ryder in this match), old school tag wrestling and a great finish (Devine’s reversal of 6-1-9 into a Sharpshooter was a personal highlight!). One
of the best tag matches I have seen based on action and atmosphere and only second behind The Briscoe’s vs. Shingo & Doi (ROH in Liverpool in March ’07)
as the best tag team match I’ve seen this year and a good contender for British Wrestling’s match of the year also. The best compliment I can give this
match is it’s the kind of match that makes my efforts to publicise British Wrestling worth while!

Christian Lees:

The fans chant “Who and who are ya” as Lees makes his way to the ring. Lees asks “Are you enjoying the show?” The fans cheer in approval “I’m not” Lees
replies causing the fans to boo loudly. “Get a haircut” chant starts up, Lees continues “The use of Tracy Smothers signifies to me this is a B-Show” The
fans disagree with chants of “Shut the f*** up!” “I’m from the LWL academy like Kris Navarro (huge cheer) but I’m seen as second string!” Fans respond
by chanting “What and Christian is a w*****”. The fans boo as Lees leaves.

My Thoughts: Well I went from wondering who Lees was to having a good understanding of him, so I say job done. It was difficult to hear what he was saying
over crowd noise though, he made the fans take notice of who he is and what he is about, now I await to see him wrestle.

TGR w/The Boss vs. Chandler Scott Lee

TGR berates CSL “You like, all of this scum (points at fans) are nothing”. Slaps are traded between the two, TGR hilariously shouts “That hurt!” punches
and clotheslines by CSL follow as the fans chant “Only one Paul Bearer” at The Boss. CSL fains hitting TGR and instead connects with a dropkick, TGR chokes
CSL in the ropes and The Boss chokes him further with his tie. A nonchalant cover by TGR isn’t enough to put CSL away though. CSL whips TGR into the corner
and goes for the 10 punch but TGR reverses into a running power bomb but only manages to get a two count! So he berates the referee, CSL hits a bulldog
on TGR and goes to attack The Boss (he ducks down) and connects with his organiser to CSL’s head and with a Flatliner this match is over, 1, 2 and 3 count
follows. The fans boo TGR who spits water at a kid in the audience.

Match Time: 11 minutes Winner: TGR

My Thoughts: Not a bad match by any means. TGR and CSL put forth a solid wrestling performance, the fan interaction was there also but this was at the
point where a normal LWL show would be coming to a close, so that took a little away from the match. Solid match though, so definitely not a downer on
a great show thus far!

Darkstar vs. Donny The Bull

Darkstar spits in Bull’s face (not a smart idea!), Bull takes revenge by showing that Darkstar isn’t tall enough for a test of strength with him. Bull
continues with chops causing Darkstar to hilariously scream “Ahhhhhhhh and oh my god” The fans clap as Bull slingshot senton’s over the top rope! A Bull-Hole
Slam follows and finally a big splash for the 1, 2 and 3. Darkstar falls down between the ring and stage!

Match Time: 3 minutes Winner: Donny The Bull

My Thoughts: Well that was short, sweet and to the point! Darkstar’s hilarious shouting added a lot to this match, Bull has potential and is incredibly
agile (slingshot senton) for a big man. So this match got across Bull as new monster of LWL (if that is the case), so from that perspective not a bad match
to have just before the main event.

Hardcore Rules Wolverhampton Street Fight for LWL Championship Sykes vs. Mat Mensa ©

Official ring introductions for both men, “Wearing a Mensa shirt eh Granddad” Says Sykes to a fan in the crowd. “Let’s go Mensa” chant starts up, “This
isn’t a popularity contest” retorts Sykes who then wipes himself all over with towel and throws into Mensa’s face. A fan shouts obscenities at Sykes, so
Sykes confronts him the fans show support for Sykes by shouting “T*** him”. The fans rally back behind Mensa once more with “Let’s go Mensa” chants, Sykes
seamlessly turns a lock up into a headlock from the very start. Mensa reverses out into a wrist-lock of his own, Sykes trips Mensa and hits an STO before
tying Mensa’s ankle up. Sykes climbs to the top rope and attempts a Senton but misses, Maxx appears and straight away attacks Mensa, Dutt comes out to
even the odds. Maxx & Sykes hit a 3D on Dutt. Costello interjects making it 3 on 2 until Smothers enters! Smothers helps but is shortly afterwards low
bridged out of the ring. Sykes dances like Smothers (taking his eye of Mensa) who locks in the Perfect-plex for the 1, 2 and 3. The fans cheer Mensa, Smothers
and Dutt. Mensa invites Sykes back in but with the prospect of a 3 on 1 beat down Sykes thinks better of it. Fans cheer for Mensa once again as Smothers
starts up an “LWL, LWL” chant to conclude the show.

Match Time: 16 minutes Winner and STILL LWL Champion: Mat Mensa

My Thoughts: That was a very good main event to end the show! Sykes and Mensa wrestled a good match and only used weapons infrequently during the match
(including a KILLER Chair shot to Mensa by Sykes!!). Sykes took full advantage of the NO DQ rules by cheating right in front of the referee on numerous
occasions. Mensa showed he has skills to be able to carry the LWL Title into the future. Good way to end a fantastic show!

Overall Thoughts: Navarro vs. Paige was a good back and forth match to open the show, I still need to see Sykes vs. Navarro 2 though! Dutt vs. Costello
was a good follow up match with two OUCH moments. Maxx vs. Smothers was basic but garnered the best crowd reaction I have heard in LWL thus far, tag match
was one of the most intense, energetic and enthralling I have ever seen! Christian Lees Promo was ok I look forward to seeing him wrestle, TGR vs. CSL
was a solid match in it’s own right. Donny The Bull looked impressive and Darkstar’s hilarious, Sykes and Mensa wrestled a very good main event with one
KILLER chair shot and a crowd pleasing ending. The Ring Announcer did a great job, and I think just under 3 hours is a good time for a show. Congratulations
to LWL on improving their attendance one again from 62 (last month) to a tremendous 162 (this month).

Peter Staniforth makes his way to the ring with Aphrodite. He then announces a couple of kids Birthdays before being interrupted by Mikey The Pikey. “Someone stole my Caravan, if you don’t return it, I’m going to steal from each and every one of your houses!”. Staniforth puts Pikey in a match, up next.

1st Round of PTW Championship Tournament
Mikey The Pikey vs. Gangster vs. Danny Stevens w/100% Dan Edge

Gangster shows his disdain for the PTW fans “This place is s ***hole, with fat, ugly and stinking retards. I’m pure muscle, twisted steel with sex appeal” Dan Edge takes the microphone “I’m the most entertaining thing since T.V. and then makes a call for honour amongst thieves” Pikey fains a slap and shakes hands with Gangster, allowing Stevens to attack from behind with a clothesline. Clubs to the back down Gangster “Come on people” shouts Stevens, Pikey believes the fans love him! Gangster takes a time out while Pikey twists Stevens like a pretzel, Gangster pushes Pikey off. Gangster and Stevens hit a double clothesline on Pikey who rolls out to the floor only to be attacked by Edge, Pikey low blows Edge as Gangster suplexes Stevens, Pikey distracts Gangster. Gangster recovers and hits Pikey with a falling slam and a top rope leg drop for the 1, 2 and 3.

Match Time: 8 minutes
Winner: Gangster

My Thoughts:
An ok match to start the PTW Championship Tournament off with, Mikey The Pikey is a fantastic character who brings hilarity to Pro Wrestling (I laughed when I first heard the character name a short while back). Edge has good promo skills and is a good addition to PTW’s roster. Gangster brought the power and in the end it paid off for him, Stevens has potential. I’m not quite sure why Mikey The Pikey lost the pinfall in this match, as he put forth a funny and solid wrestling performance.

1st Round of PTW Championship Tournament
Lucian vs. Sykes

“I’m gonna enjoy kicking the s*** out of you” Sykes shouts. Sykes and Lucian pose for the crowd, Lucian taunts Sykes “I’ll show you what being loved means” Sykes attacks Lucian, clubs follow, before Sykes singes in a headlock and knocks the smaller Lucian down with a shoulder block for a two count. The fans clap for Lucian “Your clapping = his ass being kicked!” Sykes retorts, another headlock and shoulder block combination follows for a two count. “You’re starting to piss me off” Sykes shouts. Lucian nips up and hits Sykes with a leg lariat and Hurracanrana before asking the fans to “Makes some noise”. Sykes hits with a suplex for a two count, quickly following with a DVD to his knee! “See I told you someone was going to hospital” Sykes gloats. Lucian fights back with slaps and after Sykes misses another DVD he hits an Enzuguri. Lucian goes to the top rope and hits his Swanton Bomb but only manages a two count! Sykes pushes the referee into the ropes “Sorry ref” he sneakily adds. Burning hammer on Lucian and this match is over! 1, 2 and 3.

Match Time: 10 minutes
Winner: Sykes

My Thoughts:
That was a good match! Sykes has to be one of the best trash talkers in the UK, his jawing with the fans was one of the best aspects of the match. Lucian put forth a good performance, Sykes proved why he is one of the best pound for pound wrestlers in the UK with a very good wrestling performance himself. I await to see who Sykes will meet in the next round.

Geraden/G 'The Ghetto Superstar' vs. Beer Fuelled Violence (Arkangel & ‘Scorpion’ Bill Duffy) vs. 3-Some (Dan Ryder & ‘Metro-Sexual’ Danny Devine w/Miss Ryder) vs. Youth Gone Wild (Will Davison & Ant Lacayo)

G starts off the match against Duffy, quick action follows with arm drags traded and then a stand-off. Duffy tags out to Ryder “Ryder sucks” chant follows from the PTW fans, test of strength proceeds with Ryder blowing a kiss at Geraden, Ryder wins the strength test and stamps on G’s hands. When question by the referee “My foot fell on his hand”. G fights back with clubs, Devine rubs Ryder’s neck where the clubs hit. G and Ryder square off once more trading waist-locks, headlocks and arm drags in seamless fashion. Geraden drops and opens the ropes G runs and suicide dives onto YGW, Geraden follows up with a top rope moonsault of his own, Ryder joins in with his 450 Splash. BFV pose for the crowd then Arkangel presses Duffy onto the others and quickly follows up with a tumbling splash of his own! Back in the ring BFV hit the lock-in on YGW and follow up with a wheelbarrow/RKO combination for the 1, 2 and 3. BFV then pour beer on 3-Some, Geraden/G and 3-Some square off leading to Geraden being smacked with PTW Cruiserweight Title and G receiving a Hart attack Belt shot also. Ryder poses with the PTW Cruiserweight Title as the fans boo.

Match Time: 14 minutes
Winner: Beer Fuelled Violence (Arkangel & ‘Scorpion’ Bill Duffy)

My Thoughts:
The match that I was most looking forward to delivered! 3-Some have created some controversy in PTW (with it being a more family orientated show) and what I noticed is it may not catch on in PTW but it will catch on in other companies around the UK. Ryder showed in this match that his wrestling skills are not to be sniffed at (regardless of his high flying style), Ghetto G/Geraden look to be a team for the future. BFV were their usual good wrestling selves (Arkangel is incredibly agile for a big man) and YGW have some potential and will only get better around these kinds of opponents. My only complaint is while the match was good for the 14 minutes given, it could have been great had it been give 20+ minutes.

1st Round of PTW Championship Tournament
Rich ‘N’ Famous vs. 'Old School' Simon Lazenby

Famous riles up the crowd “Ugly, ugly retards, I’m not starting this match until your silent” Waistlock by Famous who boasts “Who’s the man now!” fans clap for Lazenby. Lazenby gets Famous into a waistlock and brings him down to the mat paint brushing his head as he does. Famous leaves and as Lazenby follows he hangs him on the top rope. Famous quickly follows up with a suplex and choke with the knee, asking the referee to count! DDT by Famous for a two count, he believes it should be more causing a “3/2 I’m the ref” shouting contest. Famous locks in the camel clutch and starts to choke Lazenby, he won’t release the hold so the ref has no choice but to DQ him. Famous continues assault on Lazenby “This isn’t over” he shouts, as Staniforth comes out to check on Lazenby. He can’t continue so some one receives a bye into next round of PTW Championship Tournament.

Match Time: 8 minutes
Winner: Simon Lazenby by DQ

My Thoughts:
This was an ok match, one for the old school fans to enjoy. Pretty even match until Famous’s frustration built (at his inability to put away Lazenby), from that point onwards Famous wasn’t interested in the match and the PTW Championship Tournament anymore. He was just focused on making sure that Lazenby doesn’t make it through to the next round and that is just what happened. So from a storyline perspective this match worked quite well.

1st Round of PTW Championship Tournament
Shabazz vs. Johnny Kidd

The PTW fans clap for Hometown hero Johnny Kidd and Shabazz. The competitors shake hands, Kidd gets the upper hand and pushes Shabazz into the ropes, a wristlock follows by Shabazz with Kidd nipping up and reversing it into one of his own, seamlessly changing into a full nelson. Kidd and Shabazz move forward with a test of strength, Kidd gets the better of it with a leg trip and a kick to Shabazz’s face before applying the single leg crab. Shabazz hits Kidd with a knee breaker but Kidd fights back with a head butt, Shabazz rakes Kidd with his boot and knocks him down with a shoulder block. Shabazz whips Kidd into the turnbuckle and follows with a forearm and a headlock, Kidd rolls out with Shabazz and with a quick pin gets the 1, 2 and 3. Shabazz takes the microphone “This match was Old School vs. New School and Old School won so congratulations, if you win the PTW Title I want the first shot” Kidd replies “You’ve got it” the competitors shake hands as the fans clap.

Match Time: 11 minutes
Winner: Johnny Kidd

My Thoughts:
That was a good wrestling match, thoroughly enjoyable from bell to bell. Kidd hasn’t lost a step since he lasted wrestled and would be a fantastic addition to the PTW Roster (should that be the case). By the number of Title Belts Shabazz was wearing (3) you can tell that his potential is slowly but surely becoming realised, wrestling against the calibre of Johnny Kidd is going to help matters. Good performance from both men and that created a good wrestling match for the PTW fans.

Staniforth takes the microphone “Of all the disturbing things I have seen in the Pro Wrestling business, why are you wearing an (Everton Football Shirt) for!? The Hatters (Luton Town) are the only team that matters” Frantastic replies “If your IQ was any lower, you would trip over it!”. All four men square off, Staniforth hits All-Star with his patented clipboard. A clown sitting at ringside pies Leon X, the referee blocks and finally the clown pies Staniforth. Trash can shot to All-Star by Brooks followed by “Your out of here!” Lots of furious weapon shots follow as the action gets chaotic. Spear on Leon X by All-Star, Fran-Tastic follows up with a suicide dive. The fans clap as Brooks follows but Brooks doesn’t connect with opponents like he planned instead he nose dives on his head into the wooden floor! The fans gasp and because of silence I actually thought the show was over. Staniforth has no choice but to stop the match and award the Title back to Jim Brooks via a No Contest. Frantastic and All-Star aren’t happy with that decision and proceed to con-chair-to Brooks. Then all of a sudden a kick boxer supreme jumps in for the save! Staniforth introduces him as his newest acquisition Paul McSherry.

Match Time: 14 minutes
Winner and STILL PTW Hardcore Champion: Jim Brooks

My Thoughts:
Well that was chaotic! Pretty much a who can you hit and with what weapon kind of match, which was definitely something different then everything else that has taken place on the card thus far. It was pretty brutal at some points, had elements of comedy (Clown pieing people) and had a WOW finish (for all the wrong reasons). I’m just so relieved that Jim Brooks doesn’t have a broken neck from that mis-timed dive. People may complain about no contest in a hardcore match and that is understandable, but from my viewpoint wrestlers safety comes first!

Gangster vs. Sykes

Sykes attempts a shoulder block on the much larger Gangster but can’t get him to budge. Gangster uses his power to push Sykes back into the corner, pushing him up the turnbuckle before dropping Sykes on his face. Sykes lets his frustration get the best of him and leaves the ring. Sykes shoulder thrusts Gangster and hit’s a sunset flip but Gangster gets out and hits with a couple of splashes before Sykes leaves again. “Do you want to see me get back in there with him” Sykes asks, the fans clap and cheer, Sykes walks out and Gangster wins by Count-Out

Match Time: 3 minutes
Winner: Gangster

My Thoughts:
I’m not sure about the booking of this match, with all due respect to Gangster when you have two wrestlers the calibre of Sykes & Kidd he shouldn’t have progressed passed this match. The match was ok for the 3 minutes it ran, it showed that Gangster isn’t a man that can be easily beat and Sykes inability to put him away caused growing frustration and he just left. It personally left a sour taste in my mouth as a Sykes vs. Kidd final would have been exceptional and brought a lot of prestige (through one match) to the PTW Championship.

Gangster vs. Johnny Kidd

Gangster once again shows his strength advantage by pushing Kidd off. Kidd comes back once again but Gangster shoulder blocks him off, Kidd hits Gangster with an elbow to the nose and Gangster leaves the ring. Kidd wrestles Gangster with arm and wristlocks, Gangster replies with clubs and a splash in the corner. Gangster chokes Kidd on ropes and whips him into the referee, Gangster misses a follow up top rope leg drop. Kidd sensing an opportunity goes for a knee drop but misses and gets caught in a single leg crab (mid ring) forcing him to tap out. Gangster continues the assault and throws Kidd out of the ring. Staniforth enters and grabs the microphone “I don’t want to do this, I’m proud of wrestlers, fans and PTW but here’s the Belt” Gangster snatches microphone away and shouts “Washed up wrinkled old piece of crap” towards Kidd. Sykes and Gangster double team Kidd, who comes back with a double clothesline clearing the ring. Pointing at Sykes “I’m gonna get you”. Staniforth makes Shabazz vs. Gangster for PTW Title at the next show.

Match Time: 7 minutes
Winner and NEW PTW Champion: Gangster

My Thoughts:
Good old school battle of Wrestling vs. Power. Power won this time, despite Kidd’s best efforts. Gangster put forth a credible performance and it will be interesting to see if he can carry the title. Pointing towards a Sykes vs. Kidd feud which should be great and do good business for PTW. Shabazz is a good wrestler in his own right so I’m sure match against Gangster will be a good one.

Overall Thoughts:
Mikey The Pikey was hilarious in the first match and was very unlucky to lose the match. Sykes showed why he is one of the best wrestlers in the UK against Lucian (who has a lot of potential). 3-Some will work just not in PTW, Geraden/G could be a team for the future, BFV are a solid all around team and YGW will continue to improve if they work with likes of their opponents. Lazenby vs. Famous was an ok match, Shabazz and Kidd put forth an enjoyable wrestling match. Hardcore match was chaotic and I’m glad all involved are ok, Sykes being eliminated left a bitter taste in my mouth. Gangster vs. Kidd was a good main event for time allowed. Show ran just under 3 hours, which I thought was fine. Seeing Peter Staniforth 4 times in one night was too much (I understand that the fans like him) but the time elapsed during speeches etc could have been used better for example in the 4 Corners Tag match. Power Trip Wrestling has potential, they have some good wrestlers and characters, they just need to decide where they want the promotion to go and stick with it.

Results for the Double Death Tag Team Tournament

-Full spool of Barbwire around the ropes-
Vulgar Display of Power defeated Freakshow and Prophet. Prophet was put away with what I think was a piledriver on the floor from Brain Damage. Freakshow got eliminated with the knockout punch by Brain Damage then pinned.


-Barbwire stayed up plus 2 Barbwire boards-
The Bloody Brothers def. Mickie Knuckles & Storm. Storm was taken out with a con-chair-to by the Brothers. Insane Lane was pinned after a stiff Shining Kawada kick to the face. Mickie attempted the Shining Kawada on Ian but Ian grabbed her and put her in an ankle lock, which forced her to tap.

-Barbwire stayed up and deathmatch bats-
Drake Younger and Corey Shaddix def. Naptown Dragons.

Shaddix was eliminated after a Scotty Vortekz double stomp over two open chairs then followed up by a tumbleweed from Diehard. Diehard was eliminated after Drake hit a butterfly piles driver on two open chairs. Scotty Vortekz was eliminated after the Drake's Landing (Copkilla) on a pile of chairs.

-Barbwire stayed up plus TLC rules-
Devon Moore and Joker def. CJ Otis and xOMGx.

CJ Otis was pinned with a rollup by Joker after miscommunication with xOMGx. xOMGx was then pinned with a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo to be eliminated. After the match, Otis gave xOMGx a burning hammer through a table piece and was going for another one until the Naptown Dragons ran him off. xOMGx chant after the match.

Intermission.

-Fans bring the weapons-
The Bloody Brothers (Insane Lane and Ian Rotten) def. Joker and Devon Moore.

Moore was eliminated after Ian Rotten hit a B-Boy dropkick with lighttubes then hit the Rotten Rush. Joker was eliminated after Lane hit a suplex through about 10 lighttubes and a somersault by Ian.

-Fans bring the weapons-
Vulgar Display of Power (Deranged and Brain Damage) def. Drake Younger & Corey Shaddix.

Deranged was hit with a chair and fell onto a pack of exploding firecrackers as they were going off. However, Brain Damage with his destructive knockout punches sends down Corey Shaddix and then drills Drake as he was entering the ring to get the final elimation to move VDOP into the finals.

Intermission to put up the cage.

Bloody Brothers vs. Vulgar Display of Power in a House of Horrors match (lighttubes hanging from the top of the cage).

Insane Lane has been eliminated after Deranged hits a moonsault from the top rope. CRUSHED Lane.

Deranged is pinned after a giant headbutt.

Down to Ian/Brain Damage. Ian worked over Damage's hand with tubes and using the barbwire cage. Ian even pulled off Damage's MMA glove to do further damage.

Brain Damage hits one of his hardest knockout punches (left handed) to get the pin over Ian.

Vulgar Display of Power are your Double Death Tag Champions.



Results from Queen of the Death Matches

There is only 6 women to compete in the house. So the matches will be round robin style.

-Barbwire around the ropes/thumbtack death match-
Roxie Cotton vs. BB Walls (BB stands for Bad Bitch) vs. LuFisto.

BB Walls was eliminated after a buzzsaw kick from LuFisto.

LuFisto def. Roxie Cotton with an Island Driver (Emerald Fusion) to advance to the winners bracket.

-Barbwire around the ropes/barbwire bats.
Misty Heat vs. Storm vs. Mickie Knuckles

Misty Heat eliminated by a shining Kawada kick by Mickie with a barbwire bat held infront of her face by Storm.

Storm put the bat down Mickie's shirt and hit a kick into the chest with it. Mickie fought back and hit a kick of her own with the barbwire bat held infront of her foot to Storm, below the belt.

Mickie climbs to the middle rope for a Vader bomb on the fallen Storm with the barbwire bat on her. LuFisto comes out and distracts Mickie. Storm hits Mickie in the back with a forearm then hits a huge sitout powerbomb to pin Mickie.

That means it'll be LuFisto vs. Storm in the winners bracket.

-Intermission-

-Barbwire stayed up/Deathmatch bats-
BB Walls vs Mickie Knuckles.

Mickie Knuckles def. BB Walls after a stiff kick to the face with a thumbtack bat infront of it.

-Barbwire stayed up/Barbwire Ladder-
Misty Heat vs. Roxie Cotton

Roxie Cotton def. Misty Heat after an avalanche in the corner with the barbwire ladder followed up with a back senton from the 2nd rope.

-Barbwire 4 Corner of Pain
LuFisto vs Storm

LuFisto def. Storm with a double underhook DDT on a pile of chairs.

-Barbwire Taipei Deathmatch-
Mickie Knuckles vs. Roxie Cotton

Mickie Knuckles def. Roxie Cotton with a wicked palm strike in a hard fought match.

Mickie Knuckles vs. LuFisto for the finals.

-Non Tournament Action/Revolution Strong Style tournament qualifier
CJ Otis vs. Deranged

CJ Otis def. Deranged. Deranged was on the apron and doing running kicks to CJ's head. Hit one then hit a brutual one, on the third one, CJ reversed it into a dragon screw leg whip, causing Deranged to hit his head on the floor, CJ pinned him to get the victory.

-Intermission to set up the no rope barbwire/electrified lightbulbs and electried lighttubes-

-No rope barbwire/electrified lightbulbs and electried lighttubes-
Mickie Knuckles vs. LuFisto

LuFisto jumped Mickie before the bell. They've hit each other with the electrified lightbulbs and LuFisto just northern light suplex Mickie through a bunch of tubes. I'm blocked now from the fans standing infront of me but I'll update as soon as possible.

LuFisto just hit a huge knee to the face of a sitting Mickie then she swung a bundle of electrified lightbulbs at her back. Mickie just set up chairs and now they are "bar fighting" with each other. They go back and forth and both level each other with a shot that knocks each other out of the chairs.

LuFisto defeats Mickie Knuckles with a burning hammer through the electrified lighttubes sitting on 2 chairs.

LuFisto is your 2007 Queen of the Deathmatch Champion.

FCW 10/30 Results: 3rd Generation Championship Match!

On Tuesday October 30, 2007 Florida Championship Wrestling held their weekly event at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey, FL.



(1) Mariousz Jablonski defeated Hade Vansen.

Vansen went right to work with European forearms and kicks to Jablonski’s head but got taken to the mat with an armdrag. Jablonski kept on Vansen’s left arm even as Vansen hit chest chops and knees to the gut. Jablonski’s attack kept Vansen slowed down and got two with an exploder suplex. But the attack was stopped with a Vansen Hot Shot and a flying clothesline for two that got the crowd booing. Vansen hit a running knee to the corner but his next move was stopped by a Jablonski dropkick which sent both men fighting to their feet. They both got up and began a chest chopping contest which was stopped by a Jablonski belly to belly suplex and a superkick to win the match.



(2) “Handsome” Heath Miller & “the Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee defeated Johnny Curtis & Robert Anthony.

Before the match Miller thanked the ladies for their admiration but he nearly got his ass kicked by his own partner for calling the team “Beauty & the Beast” with the Beast being Bowdee. Curtis and Anthony did their talking with wrestling moves that kept Bowdee and Miller on the defensive for several minutes. That momentum was brought to a crashing halt when Anthony took his focus off Miller and went to the floor after Bowdee. When Anthony tried to come off the top Miller dropkicked him off making Anthony fall to the mat out of control. Bowdee and Miller did their worst to Anthony but it wasn’t good enough as Bowdee missed a corner move and it allowed Curtis to tag into the match. Things broke down as Anthony stopped his partner from being pinned and helped Curtis get Miller for two but Miller countered the pin into a double leg pin with the possibility of tights being pulled.



(3) “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne defeated Kevin Kiley.

Osborne came dressed in his Halloween costume, a priest and he mocked his opponent who was debuting in FCW after being a referee for several weeks. The mocking continued in the opening minutes of the match as Osborne took Kiley to the mat. But Kiley hit Osborne with an armdrag and two slams which sent Osborne to the floor. Osborne returned to the ring and the games were over with forearms and slaps to Kiley’s face. Kiley fought back with shots of his own but was defeated by a Rude Awakening.



(4) In a mixed tag match, Kofi Kingston & Brianna of the Bella Twins (w/Nicole) defeated Sheamus O’Shaunessy & Victoria Crawford.

I think this match was sponsored by Walt Disney World with Crawford dressed like Pocahontas and the Bella’s dressed in Alice in Wonderland outfits. Kingston and O’Shaunessy started the match as Victoria attacked Brianna but the referee was able to get some order. Kingston controlled the match with his speed and a flying head scissor sent SOS to the floor to rethink things. He decided to tag in Crawford who squared off with Brianna actually she ran to her corner and tagged SOS right back in. SOS tried to use his power but got hit with a Kingston dropkick. We were witness to the first FCW chicken fight which saw Brianna smack Crawford and Nicole sneak in and undercut SOS. But SOS recovered and went on the attack hitting Kingston with a series of power moves with some aid from Crawford’s choke holds. Crawford felt she could hang with Kingston so she tagged in and hit a slap to the face but the second one was stopped by Kingston who tossed Crawford to the corner where Brianna was waiting to fight. All four competitors in and out of the ring but it was Brianna who got Crawford’s shoulders to the mat with a double leg pin.



(5) “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson defeated Jake Hager via DQ.

Despite being outsized, Wilson went hold for hold with Hager keeping his taller opponent grounded with an attack to the left arm. Hager kept trying to get a waistlock takeover on Wilson but Wilson fought back with holds of his own which frustrated Hager to no end. Hager thought he escaped a pin but Wilson was waiting with a spinning heel kick which sent Hager heading to the locker room. Wilson went after him and that was a mistake as Hager grabbed him and drove Wilson’s face into the ringpost. Once back in the ring Hager went to the power moves including a standing suplex for two. Hager went for a chinlock submission hold but Wilson escaped and got two with a sunset flip but Hager got to his feet fist and hit a gutwrench suplex for two. Hager went back to the head with a neck vise like submission hold but Wilson escaped from that too and fought out of a power move into a crucifix for two. Hager tried to recover from the hold as Wilson hit him with a series of kicks. But Hager ducked one and tried to sneak in a crotch shot thinking the referee was blocked by the bodies. He wasn’t and the referee called for bell for the blatant illegal move.



“The Professional” Mike Mondo & “The Natural” Nick Nemeth made their way to the ring and reminded the fans that they were the two top wrestlers in FCW. They issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room and it was answered by two of the FCW powerhouses Steve Lewington and Rycklon.



(6) “The Professional” Mike Mondo & “The Natural” Nick Nemeth defeated Rycklon & Steve Lewington.

Immediately Nemeth and Mondo realized they had bitten off way more than they could chew as Rycklon and Lewington showed their tremendous strength advantage. After getting their butts kicked for several minutes Nemeth and Mondo isolated Lewington with a cross armbreaker. Nemeth and Mondo made several tags taking time dissecting the injured arm and upper body as Rycklon could only cheer his partner on. The good news was Nemeth and Mondo did some damage the bad news was nothing they did got Lewington’s shoulders down for three nor did it get him to submit. They made a tactical error in their corner with a missed double team move and it allowed Rycklon to tag in and toss Nemeth and Mondo around the ring. But Rycklon was outsmarted when he went to suplex Nemeth into the ring from the ring apron and Mondo tripped Rycklon. This allowed Nemeth to pin Rycklon as Mondo held both of Rycklon’s feet down.



(7) In a 3rd Generation match, Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. via DQ.

DiBiase showed up Afa by dissing a handshake and it allowed Afa to attack from behind. The fight went to the floor where DiBiase fought back driving Afa’s head into the ringpost followed by a slam on the floor. DiBiase tossed Afa back to the ring for a two count pin and some trash talking followed by a dropkick for two. DiBiase went for a back stretch submission but Afa fought to his feet only to be hit in the head which did no damage to the champion. DiBiase got in a gut shot and a pin for two with both feet on the ropes. DiBiase followed with a suplex but his top rope move was stopped by Afa who sent him to the floor. Both men traded chest chops but it was Afa who came back to the ring in control working over DiBiase’s left arm and shoulder with a nerve hold but DiBiase refused to submit and got his foot to the bottom rope causing a break. Afa brought DiBiase to his feet only to send him back down with a superkick for two. Afa went for a move but DiBiase ducked and in avoiding Afa he sent him to the floor. DiBiase waited for Afa and hit him with a stunner on the ropes and a shot to the throat with the bottom rope. Afa countered a corner move but missed a splash and it allowed DiBiase to lock in the Million Dollar Dream. But before Afa could submit the Giant Titan hit the ring and the referee called for the bell. The double team went on until G-Rilla came out to attack Titan as DiBiase locked Afa in the Million Dollar Dream.



After the match DiBiase called out Afa for having someone save his title and demanded a rematch. The FCW Commissioner made a quick ruling and ordered a Texas Tornado Tag Team match for next week with Afa Jr. and Titan taking on Ted DiBiase Jr. and “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla! NOSTALGIA
1934: Orville Brown defeated Abe Coleman two falls to one in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter
Henry Weber.
1935: Danno O’Mahoney defeated Dick Daviscourt in two straight falls to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia
Championship Wrestling promoter Henry Weber. It was reported that 5,000 were in attendance for this card. O’Mahoney had been the reigning champion since
he defeated Jim Londos in Boston, MA, on June 27, 1935. This version was the one recognized by the National Boxing Association as the National Wrestling
Association.
1942: The Golden Terror, managed by the Masked Manager, defeated Strangler Lewis by disqualification in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium
for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Charles Rentrop.
1946: Tex Riley defeated Bill Canny to retain the World Junior Heavyweight Title at the Savannah Municipal Auditorium for promoters Lou Masters, Dick Leonard,
and Buster White. Riley had been the reigning World Junior Heavyweight Champion as recognized by the Nashville, TN, office since he won a tournament
on July 12, 1946, in Nashville.
1953: Ray Villmer defeated Don McIntyre to retain the Southern Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Paul Jones. Villmer had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated McIntyre on October 16, 1953, in Atlanta.
1959: Don McIntyre defeated Freddie Blassie by disqualification in a main event cage match at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Paul Jones. The referee for the match, unidentified in our reports, worked on the outside of the ring.
1962: The Kentuckians (Jake Smith & Luke Brown) defeated Lenny Montana & Gypsy Joe in the main event at the Macon City Auditorium for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Fred Ward.
1964: Sputnik Monroe defeated Mario Galento to retain the Georgia Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Paul Jones. Monroe had been the reigning champion since he defeated Don Fargo on October 16, 1964, in Atlanta. In the main event, Fargo teamed
with Buddy Fuller to wrestle the Mysterious Medics to a draw.
1970: Terry Funk & Dory Funk, Sr., defeated the Assassins in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter
Paul Jones.
1973: The Missouri Mauler defeated Tarzan Tyler in a Texas Death Match at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for All-South Wrestling Alliance promoter Ann
Gunkel. In the main event, Assassin #1 defeated Assassin #2 by disqualification. Rock Hunter, who managed Assassin #2, was handcuffed to El Mongol during
the main event, but the Enforcer managed to interfere on behalf of Assassin #2. Hunter also managed the Missouri Mauler.
1973: Tim Woods & Mr. Wrestling #2 defeated the Super Infernos, managed by J.C. Dykes, to win the Macon Tag Team Title at the Macon Coliseum for Georgia
Championship Wrestling promoter Fred Ward. The match had no time limit, and could not end on a countout. There was also a stipulation in place that
if the champions were disqualified, the title would change hands. The Infernos had been the reigning champions since they defeated Bill Dromo & Bob Armstrong
on August 7, 1973, in Macon.
1976: Robert Fuller & Tom Jones defeated Ole & Gene Anderson by disqualification in the main event at the Griffin-Barnesville Sports Palace for Georgia
Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones.
1978: Ole Anderson & Stan Hansen* defeated Rick Martel & Tommy Rich in a Texas Death Match to retain the Georgia Tag Team Title at the William Bell Auditorium
in Augusta for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Charlie Harbin. Anderson & Hansen had been the reigning champions since they defeated Rick Martel
& Tommy Rich on October 20, 1978, in Atlanta. Anderson lost a Lights Out Match to Pez Whatley in the main event.
1979: Tommy Rich defeated Killer Karl Kox, managed by Bobby Heenan, to retain the Georgia Heavyweight Title at the Macon Coliseum for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Fred Ward. Rich had been the reigning champion since he defeated Kox on October 26, 1979, in Atlanta. Also, Georgia Television Champion
Ernie Ladd, managed by Heenan, too, lost by disqualification to Tony Atlas in a title match. Because of the disqualification, Ladd retained the title.
1982: The Wild Samoans, managed by Sonny King, defeated the Masked Superstar & the Super Destroyer in the main event at the Chattanooga (TN) Memorial Auditorium
for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones.
2004: Erik Watts defeated Disco Inferno to win the GCW Heavyweight Title at the GCW Sports Arena in Columbus for Georgia Championship Wrestling. Also,
A.J. Steele & Bull Buchanan defeated David Young & Sonny Siaki to win the GCW Tag Team Title. However, during the match, Buchanan left the ring, forcing
Steele to fend for himself. It was announced that the two would meet the next week, with the winner getting the title and choosing their own partner for
future defenses.

NECW returned to the National Guard Armory in Quincy , MAthis past Saturday night, October 27th for FIGHTS & FRIGHTS – a jam-packed card with tons of action
and a number of big surprises.

To start the event, Brian Cairo interrupts ring announcer Chris Norman and says how 2007 was supposed to be the year of Team Cairo, to date it hasn’t been
good “but the year ain’t over yet”. Cairo calls out Scott Osbourne, talking about for his abilities, potential and his future as a Champion. Next Cairocalls
out the Canadian Superstars (J-Busta and Dave Cole). Cairo says they WERE the best team in the business, they fell apart and were unable to regain the
belts they lost. Cairoblames the Canadians for being selfish, self- centered and now that they are all on the same page again, success will come. Busta
and Cole began to respond and Cairoacted indignant. Dave Cole went to grab Cairo and Osbourne stepped in the way. Busta tossed Osbourne to the outside
as Dave Cole threatened to punch Cairo. Instead in a shocking moment, Cole clotheslined Busta.. Osbourne returned to the ring and the two began an assault
on J-Busta. Cairothen stated that he was ready to announce his newest signing to the world and seeing as Busta was still under his management, Busta would
be that man’s first opponent as a Team Cairo member. Cairothen called out his “monster” Rick Fuller. This match was as brutal as it was short. Cairoseemed
dedicated to having Fuller permanently injured J-Busta and may have gotten his wish. After the match, ringside personnel were required to transport Busta
from the ring to a local medical facility.

Next was an NECW TV Title rematch between Max Bauer and champion “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke. As per a pre-match stipulation, “The Talent” TJ Richter
was barred from ringside and any transgression from him would lead to Max’ instant disqualification and loss of any title shot opportunities for a year.
As it appeared that Bauer gained a decided upper hand, for an unknown reason Richter returned to ringside leading to a disqualification. NECW President
Sheldon Goldberg came to the ring and apologized to Max Bauer, but he had no choice to enforce the match stipulation. Bauer knocked out Richter and left
to the solid support of the NECW fans.

The next match was an open invitational opening round match in the NECW Tag Team Title Tournament. The first team to the ring was Exotic Entertainment.
Kristian Frost debuted a new member of his stable in “The Ladies’ Man” Gregory Edwards. Fans were instantly turned off by this team’s over-the-top antics
and began to boo them. Their opponents, making their return to NECW after almost a 20-month absence were the NECW “super team” of former NECW Heavyweight
Champions and Iron-8 Champions “The Revolution” Chris Venom and “The Pinnacle” Paul Lombardi. IN a great match, Venom and Lombardi advance to the next
round after a spike piledriver on “The Ladies’ Man”

Next up was a special attraction between long-time rivals “The Human Nightmare” Evan Siks and “The Talent” TJ Richter. As Siks entered the ring, Michael
Sain appeared on the Tron and talked to “The Human Nightmare”. Sain stated he was in Siks’ head and seeing him fall apart. Richter entered the ring, still
showing the effects of the assault by Bauer earlier in the night and the match was on. This hard-hitting contest ended when Evan Siks hit the “Siks Sense”
(Death Valley Driver) on Richter and then went for a second stating it was “for Michael Sain”. Sain appeared again on the Tron simply laughing in eerie
fashion. Richter struggled to escape the grasp of Evan Siks and a schoolboy pin fall won “The Talent” the match.

After intermission in a World Women’s Wrestling Feature Match for the WWWChampionship, Lexxus successfully defended her title, pinning Mistress Belmont
with a reverse bulldog in a fine match.

Prior to the next match, manager of the Dynasty of Champions Sean Gorman came to the ring and explained why he had ousted Tanya Lee from the Dynasty. As
she lost the WWW Championship, she was the piece of the puzzle to first fall. She caused the morale drop in the stable and Gorman blatantly scapegoated
the former WWWChamp. He explained that Nikki Roxx was feeling betrayed and frustrated at her inability to regain the WWWChampionship and struck a deal
with the one man she knew understood that. Gorman then brought out 2-time defending Iron 8 Champion “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards. The two then began to run
down “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion, who was scheduled to face Edwards but was given the night off due to the death of a family member. Brandon Locke ran
out and said that Alex is one of his best friends and a mentor to him in wrestling and he’s accept the open spot in the match. Eddie Edwards then stated
he would do so if the match was for the NECW TV Title. Locke agreed. In an amazing counter-for-counter match, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke managed to
counter “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards into a pinning combination and score the fall to retain the NECW TV Title twice in one night.

In the main event, DC Dillinger received his rematch against the NECW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion “Straight Edge” Brian Fury. This was another hard-hitting
contest beginning in a huge brawl at ringside, with NECW Senior Official warning both men that if they did not bring the match into the ring to legally
start the match he would throw it out. The match did get into the ring and went back and forth between Fury and Dillinger. Dillinger managed to pin Fury
and to apparently become the first 2-time NECW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. As Dillinger celebrated and held up the title, his former stable mate
Tanya Lee came to the ring with referee JT Franks in tow. Lee stated that she had just shown Franks that Dillinger cheated in his win by having his feet
on the ropes. This led to a referee’s conference and the match would be restarted. Sean Gorman approached Tanya Lee and Lee attacked her former manager
as the crowd erupted. It would take 4 NECW Officials to pull the fiery woman off of the “Mouthpiece of the East”.

With the match restarted, Fury soon hoisted Dillinger up for his bridging power bomb for the three count and retained his title.

After the match Brian Cairo returned to ringside, stating that Brian Fury was afraid to defend the Triple Crown against Rick Fuller and said that if Fury
was any sort of a man, he would grant Rick Fuller a title shot on November 30th in Quincy. Fury quickly complied, but stated he had a message for Rick
Fuller and hit a super kick leaving Cairo unconscious in the ring as the event ended.

NECW returns to live action in Quincy with a special Friday night event on November 30th with an 8 PM bell time. Tickets for this event are on sale now

NOSTALGIA
1939: Tom McCarthy rented the Warren Arena from L.C. Warren. Warren had announced that he was retiring as his business was keeping him too busy to continue
promoting wrestling. McCarthy renamed the venue as simply the Sports Arena, and picked up as the Atlanta promoter for Georgia Championship Wrestling.
1941: A card that had been scheduled at the Warren Arena in Atlanta for today was cancelled the day before by Abe Simon, promoter for Georgia Championship
Wrestling. Lou Thesz, who had been scheduled to wrestle Rudy Strongberg in the main event, was unable to appear due to injuries suffered in an automobile
accident.
1943: Bill Longson defeated Albert Mills to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Sammy Friedman. Longson had been the reigning champion since he defeated Bobby Managoff in St. Louis, MO, on February 19, 1943. This version
was the one recognized by the National Boxing Association as the National Wrestling Association.
1951: Southern Heavyweight Champion Don McIntyre and Lou Plummer wrestled to a draw in a title match at the William Bell Auditorium in Augusta for Georgia
Championship Wrestling promoter Tom Mahoney. Both men had won a fall before time expired during the third fall. McIntyre had been the reigning champion
since he defeated Art Nelson on September 10, 1951, in Augusta.
1954: Verne Gagne defeated Jerry Graham by disqualification in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter
Paul Jones.
1965: Dale Lewis defeated Freddie Blassie in the main event at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Paul Jones.
Lewis had put up $1,000 in the match with Blassie, betting he could not be pinned within the first thirty minutes. Although Blassie lost the match, he

the title against Savage & Lewis on October 8, 1965, in Atlanta. We also have no documented reports of Galento & Savage defending the titles, with the
next reference to it being on April 1, 1966, when the Infernos, managed by J.C. Dykes, defeated Galento & Bobby Shane for the vacant title. The program
also featured an advertisement for Nalley Chevrolet, located at 2555 Stewart Avenue, asking you to call referee Charlie Smith for “the best deal”.
1968: Stan & Butcher Vachon defeated Alberto & Ramon Torres to win the Georgia Tag Team Title at the Savannah Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship
Wrestling promoter Aaron Newman. The Torres’ had been the reigning champions since they defeated the Vachons on September 20, 1968, in
Atlanta.
1971: Buddy Colt defeated George Scott to retain the Georgia Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter
Paul Jones. Colt had been billed as the champion since June 18, 1971. Also, the Assassins defeated Rocket & Flash Monroe to retain the Georgia Tag Team
Title. The Assassins had been billed as champions since August 13, 1971. The Monroes had said they were contemplating leaving if they could not defeat
the Assassins, but they remained in the area.
1974: The Fabulous Moolah defeated Susan Green to retain the Women’s World Title at the Macon Coliseum for Georgia Championship Wrestling promoter Fred
Ward. Moolah had been billed as champion since she defeated Judy Grable on September 18, 1956, in Baltimore, MD. In the main event, Danny Little Bear
defeated Jimmy Garvin in an Indian Strap Match. Garvin was the manager for Ron & Terry Garvin, who lost by disqualification in the semi-main event to
Bill Dromo & Mr. Wrestling #2.
1976: Terry Funk defeated Mr. Wrestling #2 to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium for Georgia Championship Wrestling
promoter Paul Jones. Funk had been the reigning champion since he defeated Jack Brisco on December 10, 1975.
2005: Erik Watts & Mike Foxx defeated Derrick Neikirk & Mike Knox in the main event at the GCW Sports Arena in Columbus for Great Championship Wrestling.
2005: Slim J defeated Jeff Lewis to win the Anarchy Television Title at the NWA Arena in Cornelia for NWA Anarchy. Also, Mikal Adryan defeated Onyx to
retain the Anarchy Heavyweight Title. The main event featured a noose match, with the Urban Assault Squad (Shadow Jackson & Nemesis) defeating Alabama
Attitude.
2005: The Outlaws defeated the Axis of Evil to retain the GIWA Tag Team Title at the AG Center in Dublin for the Georgia Independent Wrestling Alliance.
Also, Shawn Hunter defeated Sean Logan to win the Mid-State Heavyweight Title.
