Global Fighting Championships cancels first event

The promotion which was to hold its first card on 8/17 canceled the show a couple of hours before bell time due to lack of matches. Several fighters including Edwin Dewees and Mark Kerr had trouble getting clearance to fight, and in the case of the 2 I specifically mentioned, high blood pressure was involved.

The event was to take place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville Connecticut.

The world will just have to wonder a little longer whether Sean O'Haire could defeat Mark Kerr.
