FCW 10/30 Results: 3rd Generation Championship Match!

Send News and Event Results

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if used, thanks.

On Tuesday October 30, 2007 Florida Championship Wrestling held their weekly event at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey, FL.

(1) Mariousz Jablonski defeated Hade Vansen.

Vansen went right to work with European forearms and kicks to Jablonski’s head but got taken to the mat with an armdrag. Jablonski kept on Vansen’s left arm even as Vansen hit chest chops and knees to the gut. Jablonski’s attack kept Vansen slowed down and got two with an exploder suplex. But the attack was stopped with a Vansen Hot Shot and a flying clothesline for two that got the crowd booing. Vansen hit a running knee to the corner but his next move was stopped by a Jablonski dropkick which sent both men fighting to their feet. They both got up and began a chest chopping contest which was stopped by a Jablonski belly to belly suplex and a superkick to win the match.

(2) “Handsome” Heath Miller & “the Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee defeated Johnny Curtis & Robert Anthony.

Before the match Miller thanked the ladies for their admiration but he nearly got his ass kicked by his own partner for calling the team “Beauty & the Beast” with the Beast being Bowdee. Curtis and Anthony did their talking with wrestling moves that kept Bowdee and Miller on the defensive for several minutes. That momentum was brought to a crashing halt when Anthony took his focus off Miller and went to the floor after Bowdee. When Anthony tried to come off the top Miller dropkicked him off making Anthony fall to the mat out of control. Bowdee and Miller did their worst to Anthony but it wasn’t good enough as Bowdee missed a corner move and it allowed Curtis to tag into the match. Things broke down as Anthony stopped his partner from being pinned and helped Curtis get Miller for two but Miller countered the pin into a double leg pin with the possibility of tights being pulled.

(3) “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne defeated Kevin Kiley.

Osborne came dressed in his Halloween costume, a priest and he mocked his opponent who was debuting in FCW after being a referee for several weeks. The mocking continued in the opening minutes of the match as Osborne took Kiley to the mat. But Kiley hit Osborne with an armdrag and two slams which sent Osborne to the floor. Osborne returned to the ring and the games were over with forearms and slaps to Kiley’s face. Kiley fought back with shots of his own but was defeated by a Rude Awakening.

(4) In a mixed tag match, Kofi Kingston & Brianna of the Bella Twins (w/Nicole) defeated Sheamus O’Shaunessy & Victoria Crawford.

I think this match was sponsored by Walt Disney World with Crawford dressed like Pocahontas and the Bella’s dressed in Alice in Wonderland outfits. Kingston and O’Shaunessy started the match as Victoria attacked Brianna but the referee was able to get some order. Kingston controlled the match with his speed and a flying head scissor sent SOS to the floor to rethink things. He decided to tag in Crawford who squared off with Brianna actually she ran to her corner and tagged SOS right back in. SOS tried to use his power but got hit with a Kingston dropkick. We were witness to the first FCW chicken fight which saw Brianna smack Crawford and Nicole sneak in and undercut SOS. But SOS recovered and went on the attack hitting Kingston with a series of power moves with some aid from Crawford’s choke holds. Crawford felt she could hang with Kingston so she tagged in and hit a slap to the face but the second one was stopped by Kingston who tossed Crawford to the corner where Brianna was waiting to fight. All four competitors in and out of the ring but it was Brianna who got Crawford’s shoulders to the mat with a double leg pin.

(5) “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson defeated Jake Hager via DQ.

Despite being outsized, Wilson went hold for hold with Hager keeping his taller opponent grounded with an attack to the left arm. Hager kept trying to get a waistlock takeover on Wilson but Wilson fought back with holds of his own which frustrated Hager to no end. Hager thought he escaped a pin but Wilson was waiting with a spinning heel kick which sent Hager heading to the locker room. Wilson went after him and that was a mistake as Hager grabbed him and drove Wilson’s face into the ringpost. Once back in the ring Hager went to the power moves including a standing suplex for two. Hager went for a chinlock submission hold but Wilson escaped and got two with a sunset flip but Hager got to his feet fist and hit a gutwrench suplex for two. Hager went back to the head with a neck vise like submission hold but Wilson escaped from that too and fought out of a power move into a crucifix for two. Hager tried to recover from the hold as Wilson hit him with a series of kicks. But Hager ducked one and tried to sneak in a crotch shot thinking the referee was blocked by the bodies. He wasn’t and the referee called for bell for the blatant illegal move.

“The Professional” Mike Mondo & “The Natural” Nick Nemeth made their way to the ring and reminded the fans that they were the two top wrestlers in FCW. They issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room and it was answered by two of the FCW powerhouses Steve Lewington and Rycklon.

(6) “The Professional” Mike Mondo & “The Natural” Nick Nemeth defeated Rycklon & Steve Lewington.

Immediately Nemeth and Mondo realized they had bitten off way more than they could chew as Rycklon and Lewington showed their tremendous strength advantage. After getting their butts kicked for several minutes Nemeth and Mondo isolated Lewington with a cross armbreaker. Nemeth and Mondo made several tags taking time dissecting the injured arm and upper body as Rycklon could only cheer his partner on. The good news was Nemeth and Mondo did some damage the bad news was nothing they did got Lewington’s shoulders down for three nor did it get him to submit. They made a tactical error in their corner with a missed double team move and it allowed Rycklon to tag in and toss Nemeth and Mondo around the ring. But Rycklon was outsmarted when he went to suplex Nemeth into the ring from the ring apron and Mondo tripped Rycklon. This allowed Nemeth to pin Rycklon as Mondo held both of Rycklon’s feet down.

(7) In a 3rd Generation match, Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. via DQ.

DiBiase showed up Afa by dissing a handshake and it allowed Afa to attack from behind. The fight went to the floor where DiBiase fought back driving Afa’s head into the ringpost followed by a slam on the floor. DiBiase tossed Afa back to the ring for a two count pin and some trash talking followed by a dropkick for two. DiBiase went for a back stretch submission but Afa fought to his feet only to be hit in the head which did no damage to the champion. DiBiase got in a gut shot and a pin for two with both feet on the ropes. DiBiase followed with a suplex but his top rope move was stopped by Afa who sent him to the floor. Both men traded chest chops but it was Afa who came back to the ring in control working over DiBiase’s left arm and shoulder with a nerve hold but DiBiase refused to submit and got his foot to the bottom rope causing a break. Afa brought DiBiase to his feet only to send him back down with a superkick for two. Afa went for a move but DiBiase ducked and in avoiding Afa he sent him to the floor. DiBiase waited for Afa and hit him with a stunner on the ropes and a shot to the throat with the bottom rope. Afa countered a corner move but missed a splash and it allowed DiBiase to lock in the Million Dollar Dream. But before Afa could submit the Giant Titan hit the ring and the referee called for the bell. The double team went on until G-Rilla came out to attack Titan as DiBiase locked Afa in the Million Dollar Dream.

After the match DiBiase called out Afa for having someone save his title and demanded a rematch. The FCW Commissioner made a quick ruling and ordered a Texas Tornado Tag Team match for next week with Afa Jr. and Titan taking on Ted DiBiase Jr. and “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla! Last week the war between new FCW Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. and “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla got interesting when Afa’s new friend the Giant Titan fought G-Rilla to a no contest in a #1 contender’s bout. How interesting you ask, how about former champion and current Raw Superstar Harry Smith coming out and saved his former rival from a 2 on 1 beat down. Was it a one time thing or will we see a possible tag team match this week?

Irishman Sheamus O'Shaunessy Reeks Havoc on The British Lions...

Send News and Event Results

280lb goliath Sheamus ‘The Irish Curse’ O’Shaunessy teamed up with Hade Vansen in a tag match against high flying cruiserweights, The
British Lions, namely Chris Gray and Steve Taylor at a Florida Championship Wrestling match on Tuesday night. It all kicked off in the Bourbon Street nightclub
when ‘SOS’ faced Gray initially in the tag match with the Lion’s speed evading the aggressive Celt’s raw power. Frustrated eventually by the smaller man’s
tactics 6’6” Sheamus rolled out of the ring and grabbed his trusty axe ‘An Troid’ and attempted to return to the action but was only stopped by tag partner
Hade reminding him of the DQ he got for similar behavior recently against Steve Lewington. Hade took the Irishman’s place and went at it with Gray, and
after a short-spell both British Lions double-teaming him. A severe battering ensued on Vansen until O’Shaunessy distracted Chris Gray just long enough
for his partner to counter with a vicious Clothes-Line. And as the tide-turned both Sheamus & Hade double-teamed Gray until he hit broke away with a spectacular
dropkick on Vansen. Somehow Sheamus got the tag and he stormed into the ring throwing his opponent around like a rag-doll. The fast paced match eventually
ended after a double drop-kick floored O’Shaunessy but was saved from the pin by Vansen. Chris Gray went up top for a flying-cross-body but the crafty
Irishman was feigning injury and caught him mid-air, hoisted him up high by the throat, and drove him hard into the canvas with his deadly FRH finisher...
The ring bounced! SOS put the pin on Gray: one, two, three – Goodnight and Thank You All!

FCW 10/23 Results From New Port Richey, FL

Send News and Event Results

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if used, thanks.

After a trip to Daytona for Biketober Fest, Florida Championship Wrestling returned on October 23, 2007 to Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey FL.

(1) “The Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee defeated Bryan Kelley.

Kelley seemed apprehensive locking up with Bowdee who complained about hair pulls, but Kelley fought back clotheslines but missed an elbow drop. Bowdee took over by trying to rip Kelley’s mouth apart with his hands and choke the breath out of the body. Bowdee hit a slam for one as Kelley tried to clear the cobwebs, while fighting out of a rear chinlock. Kelley escaped and hit a shoulder block but his second one was stopped as Bowdee hit a knee lift. Bowdee had a pin but picked Kelley up before the victory. Kelley made him pay with a jawbreaker and a shoulder spear to the corner. Kelley hit a corner splash but got hit with a head butt and a DDT to get Bowdee the win.

(2) Rycklon defeated “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne.

Osborne came to the ring carrying a copy of WWE Magazine with his photo on it; actually it was his photo over the Undertaker’s recent cover. Rycklon came with only his ring skills which he used to toss Osborne around for a while. Osborne bailed to the ring apron to regroup and it worked as he hit Rycklon with a Hot Shot followed by a clip to the left knee. Osborne took his time attacking the knee with a variety of moves, but he didn’t get Rycklon to say “I Quit.” Even the Spinning Toe Hold didn’t get the submission but it get Rycklon the win when he got the inside cradle pin as Osborne went to reapply the hold.

“Handsome” Heath Miller made his way to the ring to address the fans and the FCW locker room. He told the fans he had the look and the background to get him to the top of FCW. But Kofi Kingston interrupted him and their match began.

(3) Kofi Kingston defeated “Handsome” Heath Miller.

It began with Miller flexing his muscles for the ladies but he got caught in a side headlock that Kingston refused to let go. The whole time Miller refused to keep his mouth shut so Kingston just kept squeezing in the hold. Miller got control with a tight pull that sent Kingston to the floor and Miller got on the attack with shots to Kingston’s upper body. But Kingston fired back with kicks to Miller’s ribs, but his dropkick missed when Miller grabbed the ropes to slow his momentum down. Miller went back to the upper body offensive attack. Miller locked in a sleeper but Kingston escaped with a jawbreaker that sent both men to the mat. Kingston got on the attack first with a cross body block for two. Miller fought back with a pin for two but the referee saw Miller holding the middle rope for leverage. The referee stopped and tried to get Miller to let go of the ropes and when he did Kingston got to his feet and rolled up Miller.

(4) Hade Vansen & Sheamus O’Shaunessey defeated The British Lions (Chris Gray & Tommy Taylor).

I believe this was an all British Isle bout with Gray and O’Shaunessey starting for their teams. Early on it was the power of Sheamus against the quickness of Gray who got control with a dropkick after avoiding contact. Vansen came in as he tried to change the momentum for his team but instead he ended up on the mat in an armlock. Vansen got to his feet and got a kick to the gut that doubled Gray over. Vansen locked in an over hand wristlock but Gray escaped and hit a series of armdrags before tagging in Taylor. Taylor kept on the attack which meant Vansen was on the mat screaming in pain. The Lions control of the match ended when Vansen kicked out of a pin and Gray’s momentum took him to the wrong corner. When he turned around he was leveled by a Vansen running knee to the chest. O’Shaunessey tagged in rested and ready to beat on someone; the bad part was it was Gray who was tossed all over the ring. But when Vansen tagged in he hit a knee shot but got hit with a dropkick which allowed Taylor the chance to tag in. The Lions took over in and out of the ring as Vansen and Taylor fought on the floor while Gray tried to pin O’Shaunessey. But that backfired as O’Shaunessey hit a chokeslam into a sitout power bomb to win for his team.

(5) In a Diva’s match, Nicole of the Bella Twins (w/Bri)defeated Victoria Crawford (w/Lacey Von Erich) via DQ.

Crawford posed for cameras but that stopped when she took over on Nicole with a vicious forearm to the jaw. Victoria went for a bodyslam but Nicole slid off and got a two count rollup. Crawford went back on the attack with a back stretch with her knee in Nicole’s back. Nicole fought to her feet and hit a cross body block. But her offense was stopped when Von Erich tripped her from the floor. That was all the referee would allow and he called for the bell and awarded the match to Nicole.

(6) Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson.

Before the match DiBiase took some time to apologize to Wilson and the fans for his action last week. Both men agreed to have a good, clean match and it did begin that way with some chain wrestling that was controlled by Wilson. But DiBiase fought back with moves of his own only to see Wilson counter out. That didn’t sit well with DiBiase who snapped and slapped Wilson and laid in some hard forearm shots to the back. Wilson fought back and DiBiase bailed to the floor but Wilson followed with a between the ropes tope’. Wilson tossed DiBiase into the ring but DiBiase slid right back out so Wilson followed and slammed DiBiase’s face into the ring apron. Wilson tossed DiBiase in the ring and returned the forearm shots to the back, but DiBiase maneuvered Wilson to the corner where he hit his version of Snake Eyes. DiBiase’s killer mean streak came out as he laid in the boots to Wilson’s neck and he stretched out Wilson on the mat. Wilson fought to his feet but DiBiase sent him back to the mat. DiBiase kept the pressure on with a suplex and the fist drops for two. DiBiase went for another suplex but Wilson blocked it into a small package for two but DiBiase got to his feet and hit a clothesline. DiBiase decided to end it so he went up top for a move but Wilson blocked it and came off with a blockbuster. Wilson got his wind back and hit a series of moves trying to wear DiBiase down, getting two n a leg lariat. But Wilson missed a corner splash and both men fought for control of a backslide, which was won by DiBiase who got the pin with both of his feet on the ropes.

(7) In a number one contender’s match, “The Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla and The Giant Titan (w/FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr.) fought to a no contest due to outside interference.

Last week G-Rilla issued a challenge to the new champion and it looked like Afa decided G-Rilla would have to get through the seven foot monster. But G-Rilla seemed too focused on the champion as they argued on the floor, so Titan snuck up (as best a 7 ft man can) and attacked G-Rilla. The fight came into the ring where Titan hit G-Rilla with several power moves including a legdrop for two. Titan went for the submission with a neck based nerve hold but G-Rilla fought out only to have a choke laid on him. But G-Rilla got free with the use of an elbow to the head and a corner splash. The ring shook as Titan was slammed to the mat and it got Afa on the apron to argue. G-Rilla hit an elbow and went to the floor to confront Afa. He threw Afa into the ring and the fighting ensued. But Titan was still in the ring and he attacked G-Rilla. To the shock of everyone this brought out former FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith who saved G-Rilla from a double team.

Remember to come out each and every Tuesday to see the athletes listed above plus Billy Kidman, “The Professional” Mike Mondo, “The Natural” Nick Nemeth, Moose Madison, Steve Lewington, Robert Anthony, Johnny Curtis and Mariouz Jablanski. Plus FCW Diva’s Nattie Neidhart, Lacey Von Erich, Victoria Crawford and the Bella Twins (Nicole and Bri) plus always be on the look out for some surprises.

Sheamus O'Shaunessy Wins Tag Match at Daytona Biker Bar...

Send News and Event Results

Florida Championship Wrestler Sheamus O’Shaunessy teamed up with Johnny Curtis in a tag-team match against TJ Wilson and Chet the Jet on Friday night, in
his open-air debut at Boothill Bar, Daytona.

The bearded Irishman felt right at home surrounded by hairy biker fans at the venue and opened confidently attacking TJ before the bell had even sounded
while his partner in crime Curtis pounded on Chet. Hyped up, Sheamus kicked Chet from the ring, and laid-in heavy blows outside the ropes. Inside the ring
Wilson had got the upper-hand on Curtis but ‘SOS’ cut him off by dropping his neck on the ropes.

A battle worn TJ eventually got the tag to Chet after Johnny missed an elbow off the top rope. Chet came in like a house-on-fire taking on O’Shaunessy,
and was about to hit him with his trademark ‘Punt Kick’ when the ginger haired Celt distracted the Ref allowing Johnny to nail Chet from behind...

SOS took the bait from his tag partner and unleashed his devastating Finisher ‘The FRH’ on Chet, burying him into the canvas. The pin was rapidly put-into-play
in the middle of the ring – one, two, three – bye bye!

Florida Championship Wrestling holds shows every Tuesday night at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey FL. FCW is an official developmental
territory to World Wrestling Entertainment. The shows will begin at 8:30pm with tickets at 7 dollars.

With WWE legends “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and Jim “the Anvil” Neidhart watching, Kofi Kingston and “Handsome” Heath Miller continued their rivalry
and pursuit of championship gold but they weren’t as lucky as another FCW superstar. Afa Jr. had a good Tuesday. He walked into Bourbon Street the challenger
to the FCW Southern Heavyweight championship and without breaking a sweat he was awarded the title when Harry Smith was unable to appear (read below for
more info.) With Smith unable to defend Afa Jr. was awarded the title but he had to fend off Billy Kidman who nearly had the title won if hadn’t been for
that pesky Giant Titan who helped Afa get away with a win.
If that weren’t enough The Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla made his presence felt when he told the FCW fans and wrestlers he had a new employer, former ECW
World Champion John Morrison. Was G-Rilla really scouting FCW for Morrison or just using the name to put fear into the hearts of his competitors?
Come out this Tuesday to see those athletes plus “The Professional” Mike Mondo, “The Natural” Nick Nemeth, Sinn Bowdee, Vade Hansen, Ted DiBiase Jr., TJ
Wilson, Jake Hager, “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne Chris Grey, Steve Lewington, Sheamus O’Shaunessey, Mariouz Jablanski, Rycklon, Robert Anthony, Johnny Curtis
and Tommy Taylor. Plus FCW Diva’s Victoria Crawford and the Bella Twins (Nicole and Bri) plus always be on the look out for some surprises.

Been wondering where Harry Smith has been lately…try England for starters. This past Monday in Birmingham, Smith competed in a dark match against Carlito.
They also competed again the next night and last night he partnered with William Regal losing to World Tag Team champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch.

FCW 10/16 Results: New Heavyweight Champion!!

Send News and Event Results

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if used, sorry for the repeat post. Deleted the show date by mistake.

After a successful show at the JCC Arena, FCW returned on October 16th to Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey FL. Before the event began WWE and FCW legend “the American Dream” Dusty Rhodes addressed the fans. He reminded about the history of FCW going back to the 70’s. also in attendance was former World Tag Team champion Jim “the Anvil” Neidhart.

(1) OL Chamberlain defeated Hade Vansen.

Vansen didn’t even wait for the referee to check Chamberlain, he attacked and took over with a series of moves including a clothesline for two. Vansen kept on Chamberlain with chops and a corner whip but Chamberlain moved and got the quick school boy rollup victory. Hansen stood up in total shock and argued with the referee over the validity of the count.

(2) “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson defeated “The Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee.

Bowdee must have been watching the opening bout because he jumped Wilson before he got his ring coat off. But it backfired as Wilson hit a series of movies including a Hot Shot for two. He mounted the corner to deliver ten punches but Bowdee shifted and dropped Wilson on his back. Bowdee resorted to chokes to slow down Wilson as the fans cheered for the “Stampede Kid.” Bowdee took Wilson to the mat in a body scissor submission but the referee made him break the hold after catching Bowdee using the ropes for leverage. Bowdee released the hold by tossing Wilson into the bottom of the ringpost and pulling Wilson’s ribs into it for two. Bowdee kept on the back wit ha backbreaker submission but Wilson refused to submit. Bowdee let the hold go and tossed Wilson into the corner doing more damage to the back. Bowdee went to end the match by putting Wilson on the top rope for a back suplex but Wilson fought back and came off the top, right into a Bowdee bear hug submission. But Wilson slid out of the hold trying for a sunset flip. Bowdee blocked it but missed a punch and was pinned via a victory roll.

(3) “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne defeated Mariouz Jablanski.

Jablanski made a successful debut Saturday night and was ready to climb the contender ladder. He had to get through Osborne who verbally insulted Jablanski’s heritage. Jablanski fought back with power moves. Osborne tried to even things with some low blows but got taken to the mat with a side headlock. Osborne tried to slow down his opponent with chest chops but Jablanski fought back with a standing suplex for two. Jablanski went back to the side headlock but got sent to the floor when Osborne threw him over the ropes. Osborne played “King of the Mountain” by refusing to let Jablanski back in the ring. Osborne went to the floor to get Jablanski but a fist fight broke out as the referee administered his count which both men beat. Osborne hit a bodyslam but missed a second rope elbow drop and Jablanski got a quick two count before Osborne kicked out and hit a clothesline. Jablanski tried to fight back but got a forearm to the jaw which got Osborne a two count. Feeling victory in the air Osborne locked in an abdominal stretch with the help of the middle ropes. Jablanski was able to power out with a hip toss and a series of punches which rocked Osborne’s jaw. Jablanski hit a Flap Jack but his running knee was stopped when Osborne pulled the referee in to the line of fire. When Jablanski stopped Osborne let the referee go as he hit a kick to the lower regions of Jablanski’s body. With the referee blind to what transpired, Osborne rolled up Jablanski for the win.

(4) In a FCW Diva’s match, The Bella Twins (Nicole & Bri) defeated Nattie Neidhart & Victoria Crawford.

These four ladies have developed a heated rivalry in the past weeks and it the heat didn’t cool off. Bri and Crawford began the match but Crawford quickly tagged out after Bri hit a shoulder tackle. Neidhart came in and went right to a hair pull take down but went to her corner when Bri got on the offense. Nicole came into face Crawford and locked her in a front facelock. The Twins tried to keep Crawford away from her partner but they should have been watching Neidhart who hit Bri with a cheap shot to the head and allowed Crawford to hit a Chick Kick. Neidhart went for the Sharpshooter but Bri fought her off and a fist fight broke out. Bri was nearly defeated by a double team suplex and refused to submit to a chinlock. Nicole tagged in and the fighting ensued between the four ladies at a feverish pace. Neidhart had Nicole pinned but the referee was busy getting Crawford out of the ring. That allowed Nicole and Bri to switch places so they could surprise Neidhart with a small package pin.

(5) Chris Gray defeated Tommy Taylor.

Taylor and Gray began the match with some amateur moves before Gray hit an enziguri. Gray kept on Taylor’s neck but Taylor rolled to the floor and snuck around the ring without Gray seeing him. Taylor hit Gray from behind and then tossed him out of control into the turnbuckles. That was a shift in the match as Taylor went to a series of moves attacking the injured back including a butterfly or double underhook suplex for two. Taylor went for a standing backbreaker submission but Gray countered into a pin for two which sent Gray into the corner chest first. Feeling victory in his grasp Taylor went for the standing backbreaker but Gray slid out into another pin that Taylor couldn’t escape.

(6) “Handsome” Heath Miller & Jake Hager defeated Kofi Kingston & Moose Madison.

Before the match Miller took the mic to proclaim himself the true number one contender while Hager spent time insulting the ladies in attendance. Kingston and Madison did their talking in the ring as Kingston and Miller locked up with Miller on the defensive with an assist from Madison. But Hager tagged himself in to change the pace of the bout. The problem was the pace stayed with Madison and Kingston even as Hager tried to control a test of strength. Kingston snuck in and slapped Hager across the chest. Hager went for the lockup again and was in brief control as Miller tried to come in but Madison stomped on his hand before the blow could be delivered. Kingston and Madison’s momentum was clicking but came to a screeching halt when Miller clipped Kingston’s left knee. Miller and Hager made several tags working over Kingston’s leg using legal and illegal tactics. But nothing they did got them to the pay window as Kingston refused to lose. Miller and Hager made a tactical error, namely Kingston got Hager with a sunset flip which allowed Madison to tag in. Madison went to work on Miller and Hager as Kingston recovered. But Madison’s rollup was stopped by a Hager forearm to the face. Kingston saved Madison from the pin but couldn’t stop a second attempt as Hager dragged him to the floor. Miller and Hager got the win and miller once again boasted his dominance over the rest of FCW.

(7) Steve Lewington defeated Ted DiBiase Jr. via DQ.

After last week’s match with Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith, DiBiase seemed to have a chip on his shoulder as he insulted the fans who were cheering him to the ring. Lewington didn’t seem to care if he was cheered or jeered as he laid a slap upside DiBiase’s head. DiBiase fought back with a knee to the gut but Lewington shook it off and hit a slam. But DiBiase got Lewington near the ropes and used them to choke out the British powerhouse. DiBiase went to the mat with a back stretch but Lewington powered to his feet only to get a knee in his gut. DiBiase hit a snap suplex but got two and the frustration began to come out. DiBiase kept working over the upper body with knees and kicks some on the illegal end risking a DQ. Lewington fought back with punches to the face but DiBiase resorted to chokes to even things in his favor. DiBiase hit a slam and the fist drop made famous by his dad before going to a chinlock with his knee buried in Lewington’s back. Somehow Lewington powered to his feet and dropped DiBiase in a corner but was too weak to capitalize. DiBiase went for the Million Dollar Dream but Lewington countered out and hit DiBiase with several legsweeps and some body shots for two. Lewington went for a sleeper win but DiBiase pulled the referee towards him and hit Lewington with a low blow. With the referee down Lewington hit a gutwrench suplex but DiBiase rolled to the floor. When the referee got to his feet he called for bell and the DQ.

To the shock of everyone in attendance, Afa Jr. was declared FCW Southern Heavyweight champion when the current title holder Harry Smith was unable to come to the ring before the referee’s ten count. But before Afa could pop any champagne Billy Kidman came out and said he wasn’t going to let Afa get a cheap win and challenged the new champion. Afa thought about it and decided to accept the match.

(8) FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. defeated Billy Kidman.

Afa tried to slow Kidman down by complaining to the referee that Kidman was pulling hair, was oiled up and he was pulling on his sarong. All Kidman did was keep on the offense and keep Afa guessing what was coming next. But Kidman’s flow was cut off when Afa hit a poke to the eye and threw Kidman shoulder first into the ring post. The new champion went right to work on the damaged arm driving it into the ringpost and anything else he could grab. When he wasn’t breaking the rules, Afa attacked Kidman shoulder and arm with a vengeance. But nothing he did made Kidman submit or stopped him from kicking out of a pin. Kidman tried to hit a clothesline but Afa blocked it and hit a modified cross armbreaker which sent Kidman rolling to the floor. Afa followed him out and raked Kidman’s mouth and eyes. The action came back to the ring where Afa corner charge met Kidman’s elbow but Afa recovered and hit a spinebuster for two. Afa went up top for the win but only hit canvas as Kidman avoided the frog splash. Both men fought to their feet but Kidman was quicker to the punch with a series of moves trying to set up the win. But the Giant Titan appeared at ringside and got Kidman’s attention long enough that Afa hit a superkick to get only two. Afa went for the superkick again but Kidman ducked and hit a dropkick before going up for the Shooting Star. But Titan grabbed him and stopped it long enough for Afa to go up and hit a super Samoan Drop to win.

After the match G-Rilla came out to ruin the post-match celebration. G-Rilla told people he was a bodyguard in his previous life outside wrestling, running down an A-List of clientele. But he decided to stop that to protect former ECW World Heavyweight champion John Morrison. He was allowed by Morrison to come here tonight and issue a challenge to the FCW Southern Heavyweight champion.

Sheamus O'Shaunessy Disqualified for 'UOA' Violation

Send News

Celtic Warrior Sheamus O’Shaunessy got disqualified in a heated match with Steve Lewington on Saturday night for what is probably Wrestling’s first ever ‘UOA’ violation. For those of you not in-the-know, U.O.A. stands for: USE OF AXE!!

Entering the packed JCC Arena in on a hot Saturday night in Florida’s Port Richey to his ‘Irish Curse’ theme tune, a snarling Sheamus O’Shaunessy wasn’t interested in ingratiating himself to the baying locals and Florida Championship Wrestling fans... He was there to do-the-business and finish off his opponent Steve Lewington using any means.

In a fired-up exchange both grapplers fared well but Lewington broke ahead hitting ‘SOS’ with a gut wrenching Suplex followed by a Sonic Boom and culminating a running Dropkick. It looked like the Irishman’s perfect FCW record was about to ended but before Lewington could get the cover, Sheamus rolled out of the ring and grabbed his trusty double-headed Axe ‘An Troid’. Re-entering the ring with the illegal weapon SOS swung for Lewington, incurring an instant disqualification.

Lewington ducked the frenzied attack, kicked O’Shaunessy in the stomach, and somehow managed to grab the crazed Irishman’s axe! Steve then chased Sheamus from the ring with the lethal weapon and the exchange continued backstage at the Arena.

Sheamus O’Shaunessy will now face Steve Lewington again on Tuesday night (16th of October) in a tag-team match up in Bourbon Street Night Club, New Port Richey, Florida. Sheamus will team up with Ricklon while Lewington is combining with Johnny Curtis. Should be a very interesting rematch...

FCW 10/13 Results: Santino Marella Plus 8 Man War!

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if used, thanks.

On Saturday October 13th Florida Championship Wrestling returned to the Jewish Community Center, 9841 Scenic Dr of Port Richey, FL. The event was a fundraiser for the Shady Hill Raiders of the Pasco PAL (Police Athletic League).

(1) Hade Vansen defeated Bryan Kelly.

Kelly got hit with a sucker punch in the gut and Vansen went to work with chops in the corner but Kelly fought back with a series of hip tosses and a clothesline that sent Vansen to the floor. Vansen used the referee’s ten count to keep Kelly guessing when he was going to re-enter and he did but not before dropping Kelly’s throat on the top rope. Vansen came back in and went right to work on the injury with a fury all the while the fans jeered him accordingly. Kelly fought back with punches but got hit in the throat with a double knife edge. Vansen went for the submission with a rear chinlock but Kelly fought to his feet and both men knocked the other down with a clothesline. The race was on to see who would get to their feet first and it was Vansen but Kelly matched punch for punch and chop for chop. Vansen hit a running knee to the chest and a clothesline for two but it was Kelly who hit a Stinger Splash and a bulldog for two. Vansen ducked a move and leveled Kelly with a devastating DDT.

(2) Rycklon defeated Johnny Curtis.

Early on in the match it was Rycklon’s power against the speed and agility of Curtis, which was won by Curtis who kept forcing Rycklon to the floor to reformulate a game plan. Curtis tried and temporarily succeeded in working over Rycklon’s huge left arm. Rycklon resorted to an eye rake to get some distance from Curtis and he went to work on Curtis’ left arm. Curtis tried to fight back but was taken down with a short arm scissor for two followed by a back stretch from Rycklon. The crowd got behind Curtis as he fought to his feet only to be tossed back down. Rycklon went back to the stretch hold but once again Curtis was able to get to his feet and get a kick to the mid section. But when Curtis came off the ropes he ran right into Rycklon’s knee. Rycklon didn’t learn anything and went for the back stretch again and Curtis fought out this time hitting a leg lariat and a dropkick for two. But the end came for Curtis when his cross bodyblock was turned into a Rycklon shoulder breaker for the victory.

(3) In a special challenge match, England’s Steve Lewington defeated Ireland’s Sheamus O’Shaunessey via DQ.

After a staredown both men went for the power move to the corner and each got it, surprisingly both times we got a clean break. Lewington got a quick one count on an armdrag take over, seeming to let O’Shaunessey know it could end that fast. O’Shaunessey hit a kick to the gut and backed Lewington to a corner but he was reversed and whipped to the far corner crashing into it. O’Shaunessey took a ringside stroll to figure out how to take Lewington of his feet and it wasn’t the drop toe hold that’s took him to the mat as Lewington used his power for a front facelock. O’Shaunessey countered into a hammerlock but couldn’t stop the momentum to the corner that let Lewington hit a spinning head scissor. Lewington went for a float over but O’Shaunessey stopped short of the corner and when Lewington came over he got leveled with a clothesline. O’Shaunessey resorted to chokes but locked in a rear chinlock but Lewington got to his feet, but O’Shaunessey got a knee lift in the gut sending Lewington back to the canvas. O’Shaunessey went to drive his boot into Lewington’s throat but Lewington grabbed it and tossed O’Shaunessey to the mat. This allowed Lewington to get on the offensive with a series of moves including a gutwrench suplex and a hangman’s neckbreaker each for two. Lewington hit a dropkick which sent O’Shaunessey to the floor and his trusty axe in the corner which both men tried to use. But the referee ruled that Lewington won since O’Shaunessey introduced into the match first.

(4) “The Professional” Mike Mondo & “the Natural” Nick Nemeth defeated Robert Anthony & Tommy Taylor.

At the bell Mondo and Nemeth jumped their opponents but it came back to bite them in the behind as Anthony and Taylor cleared the ring. Mondo finally entered and locked up with Taylor with some chain wrestling but Taylor and Anthony took over frustrating Nemeth who tagged into, only to be hip tossed to the canvas. Anthony and Taylor were in total control until Taylor as sent to the ring apron and Nemeth hit him with a cheap shot. Nemeth and Mondo took turns and several minutes beating up Taylor but nothing seemed to get the pin or submission. Their big mistake came when Nemeth’s top rope move met Taylor’s boot instead of his upper body. This allowed Anthony to tag in and clean house as Nemeth and Taylor fought to the floor. But as the referee was checking on Taylor, Nemeth snuck in and hit Anthony with an Acecrusher followed by a Mondo bulldog headlock.

(5) Mariouz Jablanski defeated “The Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee.

Bowdee went for the cheap shot kick to Jablanski’s gut but his foot was caught, surprisingly Jablanski let Bowdee got for the moment. But he refused to let go of the side headlock he slapped on Bowdee. Bowdee got a shot in but got hit with a standing suplex that sent all the blood rushing to his brain. Bowdee forced Jablanski to a corner hitting a chest chop and a punch to the chin. All these shots did was make Jablanski mad as he hit a series of power moves which sent Bowdee to the floor. Jablanski powered Bowdee back in the ring and hit a series of chest chops but ran right into Bowdee’s elbow on a corner whip. Bowdee absorbed several of Jablanski’s punches to hit a Russian legsweep into a stretch hold but Jablanski fought to his feet and hit a Hot Shot. Jablanski hit more power holds reminiscent of Ivan Putski but got stopped on a top rope move by Bowdee. Jablanksi fought backj and hit a sunset flip for two. Bowdee hit a forearm to the jaw but fell to a dropkick which caused Bowdee’s head to smack the canvas with a sickening thud allowing Jablanski to pin him.

“Handsome” Heath Miller came out to the ring to restate his argument from Tuesday night that he should be the number one contender to FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith. He also claimed he would be headlining WrestleMania 24 which is based in Orlando this spring. That didn’t sit well with Kofi Kingston who interrupted Miller’s soliloquy and told him how he felt about the title situation. To the shock of all that brought out Raw Superstar Santino Marella who said he still had the taste of gold in his mouth after holding the WWE Intercontinental title. He challenged Kingston to the number one contendership and then told Miller he would be next.

(6) In a # 1 contender’s match, Kofi Kingston defeated WWE Raw Superstar Santino Marella.

Marella took Kingston down two times and he celebrated like AC Milan won the championship. But when Kingston scored a takedown Marella bailed to the floor. Marella came back in and buried a kick to the gut and avoided a dropkick which sent Kingston crashing to the mat. Marella locked in a chinlock that looked more like a chokehold. Kingston was hit with a suplex for one and fought back with punches to the gut but Marella hit a knee to the gut. Marella Irish whip was countered into a crucifix for two but he got to his feet fast and leveled Kingston with a kick. Marella’s suplex was countered into a Kingston neckbreaker but Kingston couldn’t get the pin. Both men got to their feet and traded moves but Kingston hit a legdrop for two. Kingston got confidence and went up top but Heath Miller came out and distracted him long enough to allow Marella to sneak up from behind. But it backfired and Marella punched Miller instead allowing Kingston to the get the biggest upset win in the short history of FCW.

(7) The Bella Twins (Nicole & Bri) defeated Nattie Neidhart & Victoria Crawford.

The match was refereed by FCW Diva Lacey Von Erich who lost a tough match to Neidhart this past Tuesday. Neidhart began with Nicole but Crawford tagged in only to allow Bri to enter the match with no damage done to anyone yet. That was until Bri walked into a boot from Crawford. But Nicole stopped a corner move from doing damage by sacrificing her body for a moment. Bri hit a corner monkey flip for one but her attempted head scissor found her being dropped throat first on the tope rope. This allowed Crawford and Neidhart to make several tags working over Bri for several minutes. With help from Nicole and the fans cheering, Bri survived the beating and she hit a double team move on her opponents to tag in Nicole. Neidhart blocked a victory roll and pinned Nicole but referee Von Erich saw Neidhart holding the ropes for leverage. As Neidhart and Von Erich argued, Nicole snuck up from behind and scored the pin.

(8) In a No DQ match; New Generation Hart Foundation members TJ Wilson, Ted DiBiase Jr. and FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith & surprise partner Billy Kidman defeated G-Rilla, Jake Hager, Afa Jr. & “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne.

To the shock of the audience and the seven competitors in the ring Kidman made his way to the ring before the bell. He said was tired of listening to G-Rilla acting like he was the godfather of nothing. Despite having issues with the Hart Foundation, Kidman volunteered his services to make the match even. The Foundation agreed and it was G-Rilla taking on Wilson and then DiBiase. G-Rilla survived the attack to his arm and tagged in Afa who leveled DiBiase with a clothesline for two. But Afa missed a corner splash and Wilson tagged in only to be hit with a Samoan Drop for two as Hager tagged in for his team. But Hager put his head down expecing to hit a backdrop and got Wilson’s boot instead. Kidman tagged in and went to work on Hager but his springboard bulldog was blocked and Hager hit a running knee lift. Osborne tagged in and went to work on Kidman but Kidman fought back and allowed Smith to tag in. But Osborne hit a corner whip clothesline. Smith reversed an Irish whip and hit a back suplex as all eight men got involved and fought in and out of the ring. Osborne went to hit Smith with a cookie sheet but Wilson stopped him and Smith hit Osborne followed by a running powerslam but G-Rilla broke up the pin. The fighting continued as DiBiase locked Osborne in the famous Million Dollar Dream which caused the submission victory.

FCW 10/9 Results: two 3rd Generation Battles!

Send News

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if used, thanks.

Before their big show this Saturday Florida Championship Wrestling held their weekly Tuesday October 9, 2007 event at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey, FL.

(1) OL Chamberlain defeated Moose Madison.

Chamberlain controlled the match by outpowering Madison until Madison snuck in a punch on a supposed clean break. All that did was make Chamberlain mad and he forced Madison to the floor. Madison came back in and tried to make peace with Chamberlain but tried to sneak a cheap kick to the gut in, only to have his leg caught and his whole body press slammed to the mat. Madison slid to the floor and when Chamberlain got close to the floor, Madison tripped him up and slid back into the ring so he could lay the boots in. Madison took over with some cheap shots that opened up Chamberlain’s right eye. Madison tried to keep Chamberlain on the mat with a chinlock but Chamberlain fought to his feet and hit a series of moves that led to a powerslam for the victory.

(2) Robert Anthony & Tommy Taylor defeated “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne & Chris Gray.

In the opening minutes Taylor and Osborne had a mat wrestling exchange that didn’t yield any offense. So Anthony tagged himself in and was able to take advantage of Osborne until a well placed knee allowed Gray to tag in. But he walked right into a drop toe hold and his team took control until Anthony got too close to the wrong side of town and spent several minutes fighting for his life. Thanks to Osborne missing a top rope move Anthony tagged out to Taylor who came in to end the match quick. The end came when Anthony avoided a moonsault, carried Gray on his shoulders and drove him into the top turnbuckle. Taylor won after he hit a top rope splash. After the match Osborne and Gray had a heated verbal exchange but it didn’t escalate to anything physical.

(3) Afa Jr. defeated “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson of the New Generation Hart Foundation.

After a salt ceremony in the corner, Afa attacked Wilson as he was taking his jacket off. Afa kept on the attack with a head butt and some body shots which kept Wilson off balance. Anytime Wilson tried to get on the offensive, Afa raked the eyes or hit a shot to the throat. Afa even used his wrist tape to try and choke the breath out of Wilson. Wilson went to the ropes but came off into a kneelift which allowed Afa to lock in a nerve hold to Wilson’s shoulder. Wilson fought to his feet but came off the ropes into a Rock Bottom backbreaker that got two. Wilson got to his feet and hit the ropes but his sunset flip was blocked by Afa who went back to the eyes and got two after a shot to the head. Afa sent Wilson to the ropes but this time Wilson hung on and kicked Afa in the chest before hitting a German suplex which sent both men to the mat trying to recover. Wilson was the first to his feet and on the offense hitting a slingshot elbow drop that got two. Wilson and Afa went for their finishers but Afa picked up Wilson, dropping him on the ring apron. When Wilson went for a slingshot sunset flip, Afa grabbed the ropes and held on as he dropped to his knees to get the pin.

(4) Jake Hager defeated Ted Hart of the New Generation Hart Foundation.

Hager and Hart shook hands but Hager pie faced Hart to the mat. Hart went to lock up but Hager used his power to toss Hart clear across the ring. Hager began to showboat and Hart slapped him in the face. Hager bailed to the floor to clear the cobwebs and came back in not knowing what to expect from Hart. What he got was a lockup with Hart that saw Hart flip his body over and take Hager down into a cross armbreaker. But Hager made it to the ropes and caused a break. Hager and Hart traded slaps, waistlocks and hammerlocks but Hart got a side headlock into the armbreaker. Hager went to the ropes but Hart refused to back off, hitting Hager with several kicks to the mid section. Hart backed Hager to a corner but his move only got him dropped on the top rope throat first. Hager got his senses back and went to work on the damaged throat. Hager went for a suplex but Hart countered out into another arm breaker. But Hager raked the eyes and sent Hart to the mat writhing in pain. Hart ended up writhing in pain again after a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster but Hager couldn’t finish him off. Even with a choke hold and raking Hart’s face across the top rope. Hager went back to the tilt-a-whirl move but Hart countered out into the armbreaker but Hager got to the ropes once more. Hart hit an inverted atomic drop followed by a tornado DDT but got two. Hart went up top and hit Open Hart Surgery but somehow Hager kicked out of the pin. Showing frustration Hart went up again but Hager got his knees up causing Hart’s mouth to bleed. Hager quickly got the pin fall win. But it was when Afa Jr. joined Hager in the ring with a chair things got ugly. Afa wedged Hart’s head into the chair and went up top but TJ Wilson came out to stop that.

The lovely Bella Twins (Nicole and Bri) made their way to the ring with a bag. They talked about the new FCW website that included photos of all of the FCW superstars and Divas along with upcoming FCW events. They opened the bag to toss out free FCW and WWE items to the fans.

(5) In a super heavyweight match, Rycklon defeated “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla via countout.

If you were expecting a top rope move battle, you picked the wrong match because this was all about power moves. Both went for side headlocks and armbars as they talked trash. G-Rilla hit a shot to the throat to free himself but Rycklon went right back to the headlock only to be leveled by a clothesline. But as G-Rilla insulted the fans Rycklon to his feet and was ready to fight. They decided to have a test of strength but G-Rilla hit a boot to the gut before they could finish the lockup. Both men went to the ropes and the mid-ring collision sent G-Rilla to a corner but not off his feet. Rycklon used a closed fist to back G-Rilla to a corner where he a clothesline but his German suplex was blocked as G-Rilla sent Rycklon forward into the corner. G-Rilla fell back and used a school boy to get the win but ringside attendees said they saw G-Rilla use the tights. So the referee restarted the match but G-Rilla rolled to the floor where he had a verbal confrontation with a member of the FCW security. G-Rilla refused to re-enter the ring and was counted out awarding the win to Rycklon.

(6) In a 3rd generation FCW Diva’s match, Nattie Neidhart defeated Lacey Von Erich.

FCW Diva Victoria Crawford was the referee for this match that was Lacey’s debut. It got started by Neidhart telling Von Erich she was the only 3rd generation Diva and then slapped her in the face. Von Erich went to fight back but Neidhart locked her in a double chicken wing hold. Von Erich got out and also escaped a headlock by hitting Neidhart with a forearm to the jaw. Von Erich got Neidhart down with a drop toe hold into a front facelock but Neidhart countered out into a hair pull which sent Von Erich’s head to the mat hard. Von Erich was sent to the corner chest first where Victoria ordered a clean break but Neidhart refused. She went for the Sharpshooter but Von Erich countered out into the Claw but let the hold go. Both ladies got into a punching and hair pulling stance before Neidhart went for a stretch submission. Von Erich fought out and hit a corner monkey flip. But Neidhart was able to lock in the Sharpshooter and get the submission victory. The match ended and the Bella Twins came out to aid Von Erich who had trouble walking to the locker room.

“Handsome” Heath Miller made his way to the ring for some interview time. Miller said he had some stuff to get off his chest, namely making sure the fans he knew who he was and how ticked off he was that Ted DiBiase Jr. got his title shot at Harry Smith. Miller actually accused DiBiase’s dad, “the Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, of paying off the FCW Commissioner to get his son the title shot.

(7) In a 3rd generation wrestler match, New Generation Hart Foundation member and FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith and Ted DiBiase Jr. fought to a no contest.

Both men tried to get control of the match using chain wrestling holds but it was Smith who hit a belly to belly suplex into an armlock. DiBiase made it to the ropes and got somewhat a clean break until tempers began to rise. Smith got a waistlock but DiBiase got out with an elbow to the jaw and a clothesline to the corner. Smith recovered and hit a standing suplex that got two. Smith went for a rope move but DiBiase held on and when Smith charged, DiBiase hit a drop toehold that sent Smith to the ropes throat first. DiBiase pushed the rulebook to the side and used his boot to choke Smith down. DiBiase slowed things down with a rear chinlock but Smith fought out and got a sunset flip pin for two. But DiBiase got to his feet first and kicked Smith in the face. Both men traded forearms but DiBiase dropped Smith on the ropes again for a choke before hitting a dropkick for two. DiBiase took Smith back to the mat with the chinlock but Smith fought to his feet again. This time DiBiase hit a slam and the fist drop made famous by his dad. DiBiase went up top but Smith caught him and dropped DiBiase on the buckle. Smith went up after DiBiase and hit a superplex but couldn’t get the pin as both men were trying to get their heads cleared. Smith hit DiBiase with a series of moves including two clotheslines and an enziguri. But it was a Perfectplex for two that nearly ended the match in Smith’s favor. Smith went to the ropes but DiBiase hit a powerslam for two. DiBiase slid out of the running powerslam into the Million Dollar Dream but Smith backed him to the corner. Smith went for the win with the Sharpshooter but the match was ended when Afa Jr. threw salt into Smith’s eyes. He was joined by G-Rilla, Jake Hager and Shawn Osborne. But Ted Hart and TJ Wilson came out to aid their fellow member of the Hart Foundation members.

After things settled down G-Rilla decided to make Saturday’s match against the New Generation Hart Foundation a no DQ, no holds barred bout. Smith spoke for his team and said the challenge was accepted.

On Saturday October 13th FCW will be returning to the Jewish Community Center, 9841 Scenic Dr of Port Richey, FL. This will be a fundraiser for the Shady Hill Raiders of the Pasco PAL (Police Athletic League). Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 7 PM and Bell time is 8 PM. Sheamus O'Shaunessy Takes Down Bryan Kelly on FCW Debut

Send News

Celtic Warlord Sheamus O’Shaunessy first introduced himself to the Florida Championship Wrestling faithful on his knees! That was until the heavy baseline from his original theme tune ‘The Irish Curse’ kicked-in and he popped to his feet, made his way to the ring, uncloaked, and held aloft his mighty double-headed axe ‘An Troid.’

Not one to be delayed by ceremony, it was down to business for SOS against fellow FCW debutante Bryan Kelly who took it straight to the Irishman from the get-go; working the shoulder and taking him to the mat. An elbow to the jaw jaunted Kelly and left an opening for a vicious onslaught from O’Shaunessy culminating in a trademark ‘War sword’ as Kelly came flying back off the ropes.

Kelly made a valiant comeback with a Stinger Splash, a clothesline and a Bulldog or two but it was lights-out when SOS caught him unawares by the throat, lifted him high, and buried him into the canvas with his F.R.H. finisher. One, Two, Three... See ya!

Now his debut is out of the way Sheamus is looking to the rest of the FCW Roster for the next challenger...

The 2nd of October show took place in at Bourbon Street Night Club, New Port Richey, Florida

Last Tuesday fans saw the exciting main event between FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith and former WWE World Cruiserweight champion Billy Kidman end with controversy as “The Human Massacre” Keith Walker’s presence at ringside appeared to have cost Kidman the championship. So the question is does Kidman deserve another shot at the title or will Smith defend against Walker? Hopefully FCW Commissioner Steve “Gator” Keirn have a ruling before the 10/9 event.

FCW 10/2 Results From New Port Richey, FL

On Tuesday October 2, 2007 Florida Championship Wrestling held their second event at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey, FL. WWE legend Jim “the Anvil” Neidhart was among the fans enjoying the show.

(1) Johnny Curtis defeated Hade Vansen.

Early on this was a battle in ring styles, Vansen’s European against Curtis’ American. Both men went to work on the left arm but in different ways. Vansen switched his attack to the neck with a vise like hold but Curtis stuck to the left arm nearly getting a pin on a takeover. Curtis locked in a side headlock he refused to let go of even when he was being taken over to the mat. After a corner break both men shook hands but Vansen got in a sucker punch to the jaw and went on the attack with a flurry of moves including a bite to the forehead. Vansen got a bit cocky with a slap to the face which was returned in kind but Vansen took Curtis down with a neckvise hold. Curtis fought back a dropkick for two but Vansen kicked out and backed to a corner. Curtis went after him but got hit with a forearm to the face and a return to the neckvise. Curtis fought to his feet and escaped, firing in chest chops and elbows to the face. Vansen hit a running knee to the corner but Curtis was waiting for the next move and hit a suplex into a sitout slam to gain the win.

(2) In a double debut bout, Sheamus O’Shaunessey aka SOS defeated Brian Kelly.

Both men felt they had lots to prove and the talking was mixed into the action. Kelly took SOS to the mat with working over the left shoulder as SOS complained about hair and tight pulling. He evened things up with a well placed elbow to Kelly’s jaw. That opening drew a bullseye on Kelly’s jaw and throat with chokes and kicks to the damaged area. Kelly tried to fight back but SOS threw Kelly down the mat with a slam. SOS missed a corner splash and Kelly fought back with a series of moves including a corner clothesline and running bulldog for two. Kelly hit a monkey flip and for a second one but SOS held onto Kelly’s legs and stepped forward into a power bomb to get the pin.

(3) “Handsome” Heath Miller defeated Steve Lewington.

Lewington was built just like WWE legend the Dynamite Kid. Miller went right on the attack with eye gouges and forearms to the head trying to kept Lewington off balance. For a while it worked until Lewington got a vertical base and used his power. Miller tried to cut that off by working on the massive left arm of the Englishmen. Lewington freed himself with several chops to Miller’s chest and a hiptoss as he tried to loosen his left arm up. Lewington went to the second rope but when he came off miller was ready with a boot to the gut which appeared to male Lewington jam his knee on the canvas. Miller saw it and hit a chop block to the knee followed by a series of kicks to the hamstring. Miller went for the submission with a half crab plus some leverage from the ropes as the referee’s view was masked. The referee got wise and caught Miller causing a break but Miller went to a spinning toe hold but Lewington sat up for an inside cradle for two. Miller recovered and sat into the spinning toe hold but Lewington refused to submit. Lewington used his superior strength to power out of the hold and sent Miller chest first into a corner. When Miller came out Lewington hit a gutwrench suplex and a series of European style forearms but it was Miller who got the last move when he countered out of a hold and used the ropes as leverage to pin Lewington.

(4) New Generation Hart Foundation members “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson & Ted Hart defeated “The Professional” Mike Mondo & “the Natural” Nick Nemeth.

Nemeth and Mondo talked big but screamed louder anytime Hart and Wilson locked them in a wrestling hold. Wilson took him down with a front facelock but released to snap suplex for two. Nemeth complained of a tight pull and backed Wilson to his corner to tag in Mondo but his armlock was reversed and Hart tagged in but Mondo slowed the momentum to a snail’s pace. After a handshake Mondo went for a cheap shot but Hart caught the boot and took Mondo down with an armbreaker move. Mondo got out of the hold and raked Hart’s eyes locking in a wristlock but Hart went to the ropes and countered out before tagging Wilson back in. Nemeth tagged in but missed an elbow drop that allowed Wilson to hit a Northern Lights suplex for two. Wilson went up and hit an elbow drop but the referee was distracted by Hart and Mondo. This allowed Mondo to grab Wilson and toss him to the floor out of control, smacking on the concrete. Mondo and Nemeth went to work attacking Wilson’s upper body for several minutes but they couldn’t put Wilson away. Even a double team abdominal stretch didn’t get the submission win. Wilson was able to escape and tag in a well rested Hart who tried to win the match on his own, hitting both men with a triple jump moonsault for three as Hart held onto Mondo.

(5) In a Battle of the Divas, Nattie Neidhart (w/Victoria Crawford) defeated Nicole of the Bella Twins (w/Bri).

This was a rematch of sorts from last week, but the referee kicked Crawford and Bri out of the ringside area before we began. Nicole went to work with a hiptoss but Neidhart bailed to the floor to slow things down. Neidhart jawed with the ringside fans about a 3rd Generation wrestler was better than Nicole and she was going to prove it. Nicole got the better on another exchange in the ring and Neidhart jumped into the referee’s arms but was promptly dropped to the mat. That only infuriated Neidhart who hit a knee to Nicole’s gut followed by a boot to her throat. But Nicole countered out of a slam into a rolling pin for two. Neidhart also missed an elbow drop which led to a hair pulling contest which the referee broke as Neidhart got a cheap shot to Nicole’s eyes. But Nicole countered out of a wheel barrel move into a bulldog, sending Neidhart to a corner trying to adjust her jaw. Nicole went on the offensive with a series of moves but Neidhart floated through a cross bodyblock and used the ropes for leverage.

As Neidhart was celebrating she was interrupted by fellow 3rd generation Diva Lacey Von Erich who challenged Neidhart to a match next week.

(6) New Generation Hart Foundation member Ted DiBiase Jr. defeated “the Human Massacre” Keith Walker.

While Walker jawed with ringside fans, DiBiase Jr. decided to do his talking with wrestling holds. Like an armbar into a side headlock but Walker flattened DiBiase with a shoulder tackle .DiBiase recovered and took Walker back to the mat with an armlock but Walker got free and bailed to the floor. He tried to sneak up behind DiBiase but he was spotted and DiBiase ducked, sending Walker through the ropes and to the floor again. Walker came back to the ring and promptly sent DiBiase into a doubled over position with a well placed boot. But Walker’s aggression worked against him as DiBiase avoided a corner splash and sent Walker to the floor, only to bring him back hitting a slingshot senton for two. But Walker begged off to a corner and when DiBiase came to grab him, Walker leveraged DiBiase into the turnbuckles. Walker went to a series of chokes on the ropes along with some eye gouges. Walker went for a running powerslam but DiBiase slid into the Million Dollar Dream, but Walker was able to back himself into a corner causing a break in the hold. Walker quickly hit a suplex and took over with a rear chinlock with his feet on the bottom rope. DiBiase fought to his feet but Walker sent him back down with a hand full of hair. Walker grabbed at DiBiase’s mouth as he taunted the fans. It was followed by a slingshot style move driving DiBiase’s throat into the bottom rope. Walker risked a DQ with a series of chokes but broke just in time to save himself. Walker draped DiBiase on the ropes and hit a running boot to the face which brought Billy Kidman to ringside for an unknown reason. We figured it out when he tossed DiBiase into the ring where Walker got a two count. DiBiase countered a backdrop into a spinning neckbreaker but Walker got to his feet first and hit a clothesline for two. Walker went to the mat with a chinlock but DiBiase fought to his feet and hit several punches to the jaw. DiBiase kept on the attack with chest chops and a powerslam for two. Walker countered with a Sky High Slam for two. Walker draped DiBiase on the ropes where Kidman verbally berated him. But it came back to cost Walker the match when a rope move missed, DiBiase smacked Kidman and rolled up Walker for the pin.

(7) New Generation Hart Foundation member and FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith defeated Billy Kidman.

This was a rematch from the 9/15 event at the JCC which saw Kidman win the title but lose it on a reverse decision. Smith went to end the match early with a two count that Kidman thought was not only fast but accused Smith of using the tights. Smith and Kidman fought for position but it was Smith who hit a dropkick and a clothesline that sent Kidman over the ropes. Kidman used the ten count to his advantage and got his wind back before going back into battle. But Smith got Kidman on the mat in an armbar, sitting back in a hammerlock with his boot for leverage. Kidman refused to submit so Smith rolled him into a pin position for two. Kidman got to his feet and backed Smith to a corner where he buried a shoulder. But a corner whip resulted in Smith hitting a clothesline and taking Kidman down with a triangle armlock type move. Kidman went to the ropes once more for the break. A good old kick to the gut slowed Smith down but he fired back at Kidman with heabutts and European forearms. But Kidman slid off Smith’s back when he felt the running powerslam and hit Smith with a backcracker. This move slowed Smith’s offense to a grinding halt as Kidman went to work on the back and neck with rope chokes and surf board like submission hold. Smith powered to his feet rolling into a pin but when Kidman felt the Sharpshooter coming he raked Smith’s eyes. Kidman went refocused on the injured back by dragging Smith to a corner and driving the back into the ringpost. Kidman went for a submission with a modified Indian Deathlock, driving his knee into Smith’s lower back. Kidman switched to a chinlock but Smith got to his feet only to be sent back down with a hand full of hair. Kidman went back to the chinlock and Smith got to his feet again but ran into a boot. Kidman went up but when he came off Smith hit a powerslam but was unable to make the cover. Both men struggled to their feet but it was Smith who hit two dropkicks and a backdrop for two as Keith Walker made his way to way to ringside and took the FCW title belt. Smith went for a power bomb but Kidman countered into a facebuster. But Walker cost Kidman the belt when he tried to enter the ring and attack Smith, the referee cut him off. As Kidman went to grab the referee Smith grabbed Kidman and got the small package pinfall win.

Come out this and every Tuesday to see the athletes in this report plus Kofi Kingston, Chris Grey, The Giant Titan, Rycklon, Robert Anthony and Steve Taylor. Plus FCW Diva’s Nattie Neidhart (of the legendary Hart family), Lacey Von Erich (of the legendary Von Erich family), Victoria Crawford and the Bella Twins (Nicole and Bri) plus be on the look out for some surprises.

FCW "Wrestling For Whiskers" Results From New Port Richey, FL

On Tuesday September 25, 2007, professional wrestling retuned to Bourbon Street Night Club 4331 US19N, New Port Richey Florida, as the venue hosted a charity event for the SPCA of Pasco County called "Wrestling for Whiskers". WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling event was setup by S.O.S. (Save our Sandbar Foundation).

(1) Ted Hart defeated “The Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne.

Hart went for an early submission with an overhand wristlock but Osborne escaped with a handful of hair that was masked from the referee’s view. On the lockup Hart escaped an armbar and went to Osborne’s left arm only to have it countered only to counter it back. Osborne said Hart pulled his trunks and when the referee went to check Osborne pulled the hair again. Osborne went for a corner move but Hart countered into a wheel barrel into a forward roll before going back to the arm with a submission hold but somehow Osborne refused to submit and escaped in a standing position with a forearm to the face. It allowed Osborne to lock Hart in a headlock takeover but Hart countered to a head scissor and Osborne kicked up to a neutral position. Both men fought for position but it was Hart who hit a Play of the Day like move into a sunset flip for two. Hart got to his feet first but was hit by a backbreaker but he quickly recovered into another armbreaker move which caused Osborne to fight to a corner where Hart laid in some forearms. Osborne reversed a corner whip and Hart went to the corner expecting to hit a head scissor but Osborne threw Hart’s legs off and sent Hart’s crotch to the top rope. Osborne went to work on Hart with a series of moves but none led to a submission. Osborne made a tactical error and it allowed Hart to hit a top rope moonsault but Osborne recovered hitting a slam. He went to the top rope and hit an elbow drop but he covered Hart too close to the ropes and Hart grabbed the bottom one to cause a break in the count. Osborne dropped Hart on the top rope but Hart blocked the superplex and sent Osborne crashing to the mat and Hart ended the match with a top rope front twisted senton to win the bout.

(2) Kofi Kingston, Johnny Curtis and Robert Anthony defeated Rycklon, Titan and Steve Taylor.

Rycklon and Titan had issues before the bout with their partner as Taylor wanted to show sportsmanship by shaking hands but they refused. So Rycklon started out with Kingston who was popular with the fans. Both men tried to establish some control but it was Kingston and friends who sent Rycklon to tag in Taylor who locked up with Anthony with some chain wrestling that left neither team in total control. Curtis tagged in but got taken down with a single leg and Titan tagged himself in with his huge arms. Needless to say the tempo of the match changed to a pure power attack between Titan and Rycklon taking turns beating down Curtis. But Curtis was able to armdrag Rycklon and tagged out to Anthony who kept the attack on the huge left arm. Rycklon missed a corner move and got hit with some punches but he got control when Anthony went to the ropes and he leveled Anthony with a clothesline. Rycklon locked Anthony in a chinlock but Anthony got to his feet only to be hit with a Tilt-A-Whirl slam. Rycklon tagged in Taylor but he declined the free shot to the ribs, instead he took Anthony to the mat with a body scissor. Titan didn’t like that and tagged back in sending Anthony from one corner to another making him thrash around like he was in a car wreck. Titan went for a suplex and brought Anthony down but Kingston broke up the pin attempt. So Titan tagged in Rycklon who hit several moves but couldn’t get the pin and got sent to the floor when Titan’s running boot hit him instead of Anthony. Kingston tagged in and fought to the top but Titan caught him and was ready to drop him but Anthony and Curtis hit a double dropkick allowing Kingston to get the hard fought win.

(3) Nattie Neidhart and Victoria Crawford defeated The Bella Bombers (Bri and Nicole)

After refereeing their debut bout Crawford decided to get in the ring with the Bella’s. Neidhart started with Bri and got frustrated so she let Crawford tag in and she kicked Bri in the stomach. But her offense didn’t last long as Nicole tagged in to help hit a clothesline. Crawford got out of a hammerlock with a elbow to Nicole’s jaw but Nicole got the hold back on and countered into a fire carry take over into an left arm attack. Crawford got to her feet but ended up back on the mat with a shoulder tackle. Nicole focused on Neidhart and it cost her as Crawford sent her to the ropes and Neidhart pulled her hair sending Nicole crashing to the mat. Neidhart and Crawford made several tags and used some questionable tactics to keep Nicole from tagging in Bri. Their effort was great but the pinfalls didn’t come and Crawford’s corner move met Nicole’s knee and Nicole hit a bulldog followed by a tag to Bri who was well rested. All four ladies got in the ring and Bri had Neidhart pinned but the referee went to get Nicole to her corner and Crawford reversed the small package allowing her team to win.

(4) Vade Hansen and Chris Grey defeated “The Professional” Mike Mondo and “the Natural” Nick Nemeth.

Grey and Mondo locked up but it was obvious Mondo and Nemeth’s plan was to frustrate their younger opponents. When they lost control of the match Nemeth and Mondo claimed they had their hair pulled, tights pulled and anything else they could. But it didn’t work as Hansen and Grey kept the offense clicking in their favor with a variety of moves. Nemeth’s claim of a tight pull worked and Mondo tagged in only to see Nemeth tag in and have a collision in the ring that sent them calling for a time out on the floor. Nemeth and Mondo grabbed two ringside chairs and tossed them into the ring but they didn’t expect their opponents to catch them and sit down in the ring. Nemeth and Mondo grabbed the chairs sending Grey and Vansen to the floor. But the referee took the chairs away before Mondo and Nemeth could sit and when they hit the canvas behind first Vansen and Grey slid in and dropkicked their opponents to the floor. Nemeth sent Grey to the ropes and said his ankle went out. As the referee checked him out Mondo hit Grey in the head. Magically Nemeth’s ankle was fine and the attack on Grey’s leg and ankle began. Mondo locked in a figure four but Grey fought it off and reversed the hold but Nemeth tagged in before a submission could occur. Nemeth kept the attack on the leg going but missed a corner Bronco Buster move and it allowed Vansen tagged in. Vansen went on a suplex frenzy which led to all four men fighting. The action spilled to the floor and the referee followed allowing Mondo to use brass knuckles to knock Vansen silly. Mondo got the pin but when the referee raised Mondo’s hand the foreign object fell to the mat and the decision reversed.

(5) Ted DiBiase Jr. & TJ Wilson defeated Afa Anoai & Jake Hager, “The Human Massacre” Keith Walker & “Handsome” Heath Miller.

Anoai and Wilson began the match but Hager and DiBiase tagged in with DiBiase taking control with an armbar. Wilson tagged in and Hager tagged out to Miller who was ready to talk and wrestle at the same time after a boot to the gut. Wilson fought back and with help from DiBiase they cleared the ring of opponents. Anoai wanted to hear nothing come out of Miller’s mouth but pain as he hit a series of moves but an ill advised headbutt did damage to Anoai instead of Miller. Wilson tagged in and helped dump Anoai to the floor but he was quickly jumped by Miller who tagged in Walker who came in with a clothesline for two. Miller and Walker kept control of the match by keeping Wilson in the center of the ring and in neutral corners. Walker went for a neckvise submission but Wilson got out only to be hit with a forearm on the apron from Anoai. But Anoai turned his back and his next blow hit Walker instead. Walker went for a slam but Anoai tagged himself in and negated the pin attempt. Anoai hit a slam of his own but Wilson slid off during the second attempt and tagged in Hager who was forced to face his partner. Instead they went to tag out but the other four wrestlers fell to the floor. Anoai and Hager went to work and after punching and kicking each other they got a near count by pinning each other. All six men fought in the ring but in the end in was DiBiase Jr. who got the pin after Anoai’s spinning Samoan Drop kicked Hager in the head. Anoai had Wilson pinned but the referee counted down Hager’s shoulders.

(6) Doink the Clown defeated Billy Kidman.

After making a kid in the front row cry Kidman focused on Doink and his bag of tricks. Doink countered Kidman’s experience with some moves that kept the former WWE Cruiserweight champion going to the floor to formulate a new plan. Doink kept Kidman off his game with a side headlock but Kidman stopped that with a shot to the ribs and a headlock of his own. The two men went to the ropes but it was Doink who took Kidman up in an airplane spin which sent Kidman to the floor. Kidman decided he had enough and went to the locker room entry way and he barely beat the ten count in but his slide to the ring met Doink. Doink stomped on Kidman’s hands and went to hit ten punches in the corner but Kidman stepped into Doink and dropped him on the top rope Hot Shot style. Kidman dragged Doink to the floor and smashed Doink’s ribs into the ring apron before coming back to the ring and an abdominal stretch with some help from the ropes. Kidman let the hold go and hit a rib breaker like move for two and went back to the stretch hold this time mat based. Doink went chest first into the corner but his momentum allowed him to catch Kidman off the ropes into a powerslam. But neither man could get the pin but they fought to their feet where Doink let loose a series of moves. Doink went up top hitting a cross bodyblock for two. Kidman countered a move and hit Doink with a Sky High Slam. He dragged Doink to a corner but got rolled up for two. So Kidman hit a dropkick and went up top for a huricurana but Doink held on and came off to get the pinfall.

Ryan O’Reilly along with FCW Diva’s Maryse & Lacey Von Erich made their way to the ring. O’Reilly said he had two good reasons to be happy and they each spoke to him and fans about how they like to make him happy. When the ladies spoke about O’Reilly they also took turns insulting the fans. But when O’Reilly mentioned wanting championship gold, FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith came to the ring. O’Reilly said he wanted the gold but Smith said he wanted one of O’Reilly’s ladies. That brought out #1 contender G-Rilla who said he only wanted what Smith was packing and demanded the match he won on September 15th. O’Reilly obliged and the ladies joined him in leaving ringside.

(7) FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith defeated #1 contender G-Rilla via DQ.

Smith went right to work keeping his bigger opponent off his feet by attacking his left knee and leg. But that stopped when G-Rilla got to his feet and backed Smith into a corner for a whip and shots to the ribs. But a second corner move allowed Smith to stop his momentum and kick G-Rilla’s leg out. G-Rilla went to the floor and tripped up Smith. G-Rilla came back in the ring but Smith recovered enough to make the match start over on neutral ground. G-Rilla backed Smith to a corner but Smith dropped out and slid through G-Rilla’s legs. But Smith didn’t protect himself and G-Rilla hit a forearm to the lower back region of the champion. With a bullseye drawn on the back G-Rilla locked Smith in a Bear Hug but couldn’t get Smith to give up. Smith fought his way out but came off the ropes into a belly to belly suplex. G-Rilla went right back to the Bear Hug and forced Smith’s shoulders to the mat. Smith fought out of the hold and went for the Sharpshooter but G-Rilla raked the eyes and hit a corner move. G-Rilla went up but his Bonsai Drop only met Smith’s boots in his crotch region. Smith hit a dropkick and clothesline to take G-Rilla off his feet. But when Smith went for a move he was hit with a powerslam and an elbow drop. G-Rilla smelled championship and hit two more elbow drops but Smith kicked out of the pin. G-Rilla went for a running powerslam but Smith slid off and hit a German Suplex. But when Smith went for the Sharpshooter, Jake Hager came in and attacked Smith, causing the DQ. Things broke down from their as they were joined by Ted Hart, Shawn Osborne, Afa Anoai, Ted DiBiase Jr. and TJ Wilson. Smith, Hart, DiBiase Jr. and Hart chased off the other four and laid a challenge down for October 13th for an eight man match. They christened themselves the New Hart Foundation.
