WXW Newsline: History Made This Weekend, Int’l Superstar added to Elite 8, Talia/TNA (corrections)
Send News and Event Results
Huge news coming out of this past weekend’s events in Allentown and Palmer, as it was announced by new WXW Commissioner MAVEN BENTLEY that WXW Heavyweight
Champion THE GREAT SAMU had been suspended following a physical altercation with WXW official Rob Lick that was caught on video. You can see the controversial
footage of that attack on this week’s WXW RAGE TV (check local listings, or log onto WXWwrestling.com for the netcast). After the recent treachery of
former friend SUGAA and subsequent wars with the “Daniels Dynasty”, will Samu be even MORE enraged when he returns from suspension this Saturday in Coplay,
PA as part of WXW’s gigantic “Halloween Nightmare” event? Also this past Saturday, a brand-new WXW Cruiserweight Champion was crowned. After a faced-paced,
hard-fought battle, SABIAN upended DEVON MOORE to capture the gold. Congratulations to Sabian oh his title victory. In sad news, WXW sends their well-wishes
to SAMOAN DRAGON, who incurred a potentially severe concussion after hitting his head while attempting a dive onto Devon Moore moments prior to their
scheduled match in Palmer. Dragon, the youngest (and perhaps most fearless) member of the Samoan family, was knocked unconscious for several minutes
from the bad landing. Unbelievably, he actually demanded to compete once he regained consciousness, but was denied permission by the doctor in attendance.
He will be out of action for an undetermined length of time. This past Sunday in Palmer, WXW fans were treated to the return of several favorites from
WXW’s past, including the fiery GUAPO and the dynamic duo of ALL MONEY IS LEGAL. What other superstars may be on their way back to WXW in the very near
future? In other news and notes from this past weekend’s events… the “Hollywood Street Fight” between BILLY DREAM and ERIC COBIAN will go down as one
of the wildest, most out-of-control brawls in WXW history, featuring tables, chairs…even thumbtacks! WXW officials are feverishly trying to finalize
permission to air this spectacle on RAGE TV this week. Congratulations to former WXW Women’s Champion TALIA MADISON on her recent signing with TNA Wrestling.
A featured attraction at several ELITE 8 events, she will now join the roster of TNA “Knockouts” that also includes former “Elite 8” competitors such
as MS. TRACY BROOKS, ANGEL WILLIAMS, and NIKKI “Roxy Laveaux” ROXX. Here are some comments from Talia herself, taken from her website:"Just want to
say THANK YOU to all of my fans who have supported me thus far! You guys are the greatest and I appreciate you all! Also thanks to everyone in the wrestling
business who has guided me and helped me be who I am today. Special thanks to Jason Knight, (my official trainer) and Afa The Wild Samoan and his family
as well! Thank you to all of my friends as well for always believing in me."We wish Talia the best of luck as she now enters the next phase of her career
as a TNA/Spike TV superstar.
WXW proudly announces that ERICA PORTER has been added to this year’s star-studded 2007 ELITE 8 women’s event, taking place on Saturday night, November
10th in Coplay, PA (elite8.wxwwrestling.com). Born in Guatemala, Porter relocated to the United States, dedicating her life to personal fitness training,
dance instruction and pro wrestling. An awesome physical specimen, Porter has competed all over the world as “Junglegrrl”, captured numerous championships,
and even appeared in the “Spiderman” movie. Porter comes to this year’s Elite 8 to promote her new lifestyle and wellness book, “Eat That Monkey: Now
Is the Time to Change Your Life.”
