NWA Anarchy TV Report
Episode 84
October 8, 2007

The OMEGA reunion will occur at the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC. I’m extremely disappointed in the location because the CSA is the worst possible venue. Tar Heel Pro is running in Salisbury, NC on December 16 and February 3 (both Sundays) which will feature big name indy wrestlers from ROH, IWA-MS and other major indies. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Anarchy talent used in the promotion. In South Dakota, we don’t celebrate Columbus Day, its Native American Day. I celebrated by taking a short 30 mile drive to Sitting Bull’s final resting spot. There’s an awesome story behind Sitting Bull’s final resting spot from the 60’s, but that’s for another day. Anyway, on to the Indy Wrestling’s Only TV Report without MERITT~!

WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- We begin this week’s edition of NWA Anarchy TV with a video replay of Truitt Fields pinning Jeremy Vain and Ace Rockwell garnering the wrath of the Staff of Righteousness. Despite a major knee injury, Rockwell surprised Chad Parham for the second consecutive time.

- Greg Hunter believed Truitt Fields had won the NWA Anarchy TV Title from Jeremy Vain, but John Johnson says he isn’t called the Untouchable for no reason. Ace Rockwell survived a vicious assault from the Devil’s Rejects and an offensive barrage from Chad Parham. This week, the NWA Elite of Jeff Lewis & Kory Chavis challenge NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the Awesome Attraction. Johnson enjoys the scent of potential victory for the

1. The World’s Prettiest Tag Team (“Kool” Seth Delay & Adrian Hawkins) defeated the Anger Alliance (“the Loser of the Pre-match Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest” Brody Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix) with Adam Roberts.
Johnson notes Congress would be better served by rock, paper and scissors. WPTT takes alternates arm ringers with Phoenix. Double A without the MCO take over when Phoenix eludes a turnbuckle charge and Delay rams his shoulder into the metal ring post. Chase promptly tags in and focuses on Delay’s bad arm. The Wild Samoans, uh, I mean, Double A work over Delay on the hardwood floor as Hawkins argues with the referee. After commercial, Chase catches Delay with a swinging neckbreaker. Delay attempts to fight back, but Phoenix tags in for a double team maneuver. Delay takes exception when Double A attempts a double team maneuvers by squarely kicking Chase in the nether regions and eluding a top rope double clothesline by Phoenix. Hawkins receives the hot tag and cleans house. Hawkins dropkicks Chase to the floor and Adam Roberts follows suit. WPTT connect on Phoenix with the double Hot Shot, a la Eddie Gilbert. Adam Roberts makes the save on the pinfall attempt, but he elbow drops Phoenix. WPTT eliminate Roberts and Hawkins pins Phoenix with the Unprettier.
COMMENTS: This was standard tag fare that furthered storylines in NWA Anarchy.

- Todd Sexton confronts Wes Grissom backstage. Sexton acknowledges that he wouldn’t wrestle a girl like Melissa Coates. Hell, if I wasn’t used to fighting Amazons, I wouldn’t fight them either. Sexton consoles Grissom until he is rudely interrupted by Tony Santerelli. Santerelli sells himself like a used car salesman on a car lot full of lemons. Santerelli says he eats crap like Grissom for breakfast. Grissom takes exception, so Santerelli backs up. Santerelli wants a match and Sexton obliges. Sexton books a match between Santerelli and Grissom. Santerelli leaves happy. Sexton informs Grissom that Santerelli is bigger, badder and deffer, okay scratch the bad LL Cool J humor. Grissom’s facial expression sold like a million bucks.

- It’s time for the weekly segment with Dan Wilson, the Staff of Righteousness and the Devil’s Rejects. Wilson brags about the congregation looking at the dawn of a new age. Young Patrick Bentley is commended for his wonderful job for taking out the knee of NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Ace Rockwell. Slim J is a liar, a backstabber, a cheat and will be dealt with accordingly. Next week, Wrestling’s Only Serial Killer will eliminate all of the stars of Anarchy to become #1 contender to Rockwell. Tonight, Bentley will make sure Iceberg stands tall. Tonight, the greatest tag team in NWA Arena history, the legacy of the Lost Boys and Pomp & Circumstance will combine to form the Devil’s Rejects. Azreal & Shaun Tempers will send a message. You are looking at four of the best wrestlers in Anarchy and no championships are safe.

2. The Devil’s Rejects (Azreal & Shaun Tempers) w/Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness squashed the Hustle Squad.
Johnson suggests the Hustle Squad live up to their name and leave Cornelia, Georgia as fast as possible. Next week, a 10 man mega rumble will be held to determine a #1 contender to Ace Rockwell. The Rejects slaughter MJ. After commercial, Azreal viciously chops MJ and follows up with a running knee that garners a “one more time” chant. Even Wilson takes a jab at MJ. MJ finally makes the hot tag and pays the price with a destructive clothesline. They finish off the hapless youngster with a double team sitout inverted DDT. Afterwards, Dominous slowly creeps to the ring. He hovers above the Hustle Squad, goozles them and prepares to double chokeslam them. However, Dominous refuses to double chokeslam them and chokes his fellow Rejects. Wilson interjects himself and Dominous delivers a friendly greeting. Dominous leaves to the crowd’s delight.
COMMENTS: This was a savage beating that should have been a cut off by a couple of minutes. The Dominous turn didn’t make any sense because there wasn’t any build up and has played an emotionless giant.

3. Tony Santerelli pinned Wes Grissom.
Santerelli settles into an amateur wrestling position and quickly escapes. Santerelli offers another lesson in amateur wrestling, but Grissom literally kicks his ass. Santerelli explodes with a series of boots to the Grissom’s dome. After commercial, Santerelli effectively becomes incensed because Grissom continue to kick out of numerous pinfall attempts. Grissom escapes a Mafia kick and Santerelli begins chanting “no more children.” Grissom fires away, lands a dropkick and scores a near fall with a standing shooting star press. The crowd rallies behind Wes, but Santerelli drop toe holds him across the middle rope. Santerelli applies a hammerlock/chinlock combination submission and Grissom smartly taps out. At least Grissom didn’t get his ass kicked by a woman this week. Grissom fires back at Santerelli, but finds himself back in the submission move. Sexton heads out to make the save.
COMMENTS: This was a good squash match that got Grissom over as a sympathetic babyface and Santerelli as a sneaky and slimy heel. Grissom took a beating and even has decent offense at his young age; not too bad for his second match in Anarchy. To be honest, Grissom oozes charisma.

- It’s Jeff G Bailey and the NWA Elite of Phil Shatter, Kory Chavis and Jeff Lewis, the team that destroyed the Devil’s Rejects in War Games. Yep, Phil Shatter is the Universal Soldier, the One Man Walking Genocide and Aryan Superman. He will dispose of 9 pieces of garbage to become #1 contender. Bailey informs Lewis that the Elite is upset because he missed the last two weeks. However, he can redeem himself by allowing Chavis to be his guiding light. “To be in the Elite is a privilege, not a right.” Lewis shrugs off Bailey. Bailey sends Shatter back to the locker room to prepare for his upcoming match.

4. The Awesome Attraction (Austin Creed & Hayden “the Flying Squirrel” Young) defeated the NWA Elite (Kory Chavis & “the Feature Presentation” Jeff Lewis
John Johnson needs a bottle of Midol because of suffering from a headache from a sustained crowd roar. In modern times, Midol is used for menstrual cramps and bloating. Creed uses his pugilistic prowess to embarrass the NWA Elite. On a side note, did you know that Johnson knows what excommunication means? I couldn’t believe my ears. Back to the match, the Awesome Attraction continues to dominate Chavis. The rudos finally gain the advantage when Chavis jabs Creed in the eyes and tosses him to the floor. On the floor, Creed eludes Chavis and Chavis posts himself. Young wipes out Lewis with a dropkick. However, the Elite take back over with the mighty Yakuza kick. After commercial, Lewis pounds Creed’s back. Johnson provides foreshadowing of a potential face turn for Lewis when he mentions the Elite have no problems. Hunter delivers a receipt by accusing Johnson of making false accusations. Creed leaps for the hot tag, but the Soul Assassin drills him with a brutal dropkick. Ouch, that hurt. Lewis applies a chinlock on Creed. Chavis tags back in and eats a dropkick from Creed. The referee exercises his ten count and Creed makes the hot tag. Young cleans house of the Elite. Young lands a huge cross bodyblock on Lewis for a near fall. The referee escorts Chavis back to ringside after he tosses Creed to the floor. Young reverse whips Lewis into the ropes and Bailey’s baby powder fails for the second consecutive time. Young rolls up Lewis for the victory. Afterwards, Bailey scorns Lewis for screwing up and he responds by pushing his manager. Chavis plays peacemaker by splitting them apart.
COMMENTS: Do you understand now why Hayden is like a flying squirrel. Lewis’s face turn is slowly, but surely taking place (of course it’s already happened if you get to watch Anarchy on TV every week or attend the NWA Arena shows). Is it me, the Elite appears to be very strong right now with Phil Shatter as a centerpiece?

COMMENTS: The pieces are beginning to fall in place to prepare for Anarchy’s long term plans. The Elite and Rejects are headed in opposite directions, Jeff Lewis is about to turn face, the Santerelli storyline is simple and fun, and WPTT are building a great following. The quick turn of Dominous was unexpected and would have been fun given more time.

Freddie's Auction House in Columbia, TN

NWA Referee Adam McCloud entered Freddie's and said he
was sick of the Syndicate Crew strongarming the Main
Event locker room and referees. He then challenged LA
Player to a fight because of the beating he took from
the Crew last week.

Match One
LA Player w/ Pyscho Medic & D'Angelo def Adam McCloud
via pinfall. This match saw the veteran LA Player
throw around the inexperienced ref. McCloud tried a
roll up but Pyscho Medic distracted the ref while
D'Angelo hit McCloud with a club. LA Player covered
for the 1-2-3.

Match Two
Chrisjen Hayme and Larry Cooter fought to a draw. This
match saw the return of Cooter and the NWA:ME debut of
Hayme. No matter what one threw, the other always
countered. Time expired and no winner was decided.

Match Three
Nightmare & Avenger def "The Ice Man" Chris Eckos &
Brandon Stone via pinfall. The masked team got to put
a beating on Eckos, as a different Stone was forced to
just watch. Stone got in on a hot tag and began taking
it to Nightmare and Avenger. As he was throwing fists,
Stone got a piece of Eckos knocking his partner down.
Avenger and Nightmare capitalized and nailed Eckos
with a combination sidewalk slam, elbow drop for the
pin. What does this mean for the team of Eckos and
Stone & what is going through the mind of Brandon
Stone?

Match Four
SteveO def Psycho Medic via DQ. Medic had SteveO's
number, but SteveO stayed in this match. LA Player and
D'Angelo hit the ring and the ref DQed the match. JT
Quest and Xstacy hit the ring as well. Robbie Ruffin
tried to make a save, but the numbers were against
him.

The Syndicate Crew held up Ruffin for Quest to hit him
with the crowbar. Quest pulled back and hit LA Player
with the bar making the save for Ruffin and SteveO! JT
QUEST HAS TURNED ON THE SYNDICATE CREW. A huge change
for Mr.Impact!
The Main Event for the evening is set. The Syndicate
Crew (LA Player, Psycho Medic, D'Angelo) vs Robbie
Ruffin, SteveO, and JT Quest.

Match Five
Michael White w/ Paul Adams def Antonio Cathey via
count out. This feud continues to shake the
foundations of Freddie's. Paul Adams got involved as
usual, and was able to contain Antonio and keep him
out of the ring for a count out. A rematch was set for
next week, Oct 13th.

Main Event
Robbie Ruffin, SteveO, & JT Quest w/ Xstacy and The
Syndicate Crew (LA Player, Psycho Medic & D’Angelo)
fought to a draw via double countout. The bad blood
was evident as these two teams went head to head. The
Crew of course, tried whatever cheap tactics the
could, but Ruffin, SteveO, & Quest stood strong.
This match spilled to the outside of the ring, and
neither team made it back in before the ref counted to
10. A challenge was issued for another match next
week. Who else will join this battle that is taking
over Middle Tennessee?!?!

Come find out ONLY in Columbia, TN next Saturday, Oct
13th at 8pm. NWA: Main Event returns to Pulaski, TN as
well on Friday, Oct 12th. Check out the cards and Paul
Adams' column @ nwame.com

NWA: MAIN EVENT WRESTLING RESULTS nwame.com
Friday October 12, 2007
OLD ARMORY BUILDING
PULASKI, TENNESSEE

Match One
Jesse Emerson def Josh Hendricks via pinfall. Emerson
had the size and strength advantage in this bout.
Hendricks held his own, and Emerson had to resort to
grabbing a handful of tights for the win.

Chrisjen Hayme entered the Nick Gulas Arena taking
exception to Emerson’s cheating ways.

Match Two
Chrisjen Hayme def Blu via pinfall. Hayme rolled up
the masked man for the pin after a back and forth
bout.

Jesse Emerson came to the ring and got after Hayme. A
match was made for later that evening.

Match Three
Eddie Paul def Psycho Medic via pinfall. The young
Paul took a beating at the hands of Medic. Medic used
his usually dirty ways to gain the advantage. Eddie
Paul got a roll up for the quick pin. Medic argued
and almost got in the ring with Mike Porter, but then
retreated to the locker room.

Match Four
Jesse Emerson and Chrisjen Hayme fought to a draw.
This back and forth match saw both men hitting some
big moves. Technical moves took over as each man
tried for roll ups. During a mat hold the ref counted
both competitors shoulders down calling the match a
draw.

Match Five
Teddy Tender w/ Paul Adams def Brandon Stone. Tender
and Adams made their way to the ring, insulting the
Pulaski crowd and singing lounge style. The smaller
Stone tried to chop down the tall Tender, but caught
many huge beatings. Tender hit Stone with his
devastating finishing move. After some celebrating,
Adams got a chair and Tender dropped Stone on it with
another one of his finishing moves.

Main Event
Matt Boyce w/ Christopher Love def SteveO via count
out. The main event had the huge Pulaski crowd loud.
Boyce had a huge advantage in Love’s help. SteveO
found a second wind and took the fight outside the
ring. As he tried to re enter the ring Christopher
Love grabbed SteveO’s leg holding him down while the
ref, not seeing Love, counted SteveO out.

Freddie's Auction House in Columbia, TN

Match One
Adam McCloud def Psycho Medic w/ D'Angelo & LA Player via pinfall. Psycho Medic did not take the former referee seriously as he slowly chopped away at McCloud. LA Player climbed onto the ring apron and held McCloud. As Psycho Medic went to punch McCloud, McCloud rolled out of the way and rolled up Medic for the pin.

After the pinfall, the 3 members of the Crew hit the ring and beat down McCloud. He was held up and took a kendo stick to the head for his efforts. SteveO, Tommy Capone, and JT Quest hit the ring saving McCloud and making the main event for the evening.

Match Two
Eddie Paul def Nightmare via pinfall. Eddie Paul made his debut in Columbia & taught Nightmare a few things about the inside of a ring. As Nightmare gained control by cheating, Paul surprised him and suddenly rolled him up for the win.

Match Three
Blackie West & Avenger def "The Ice Man" Chris Eckos & Brandon Stone via pinfall. Stone and Eckos walked to the ring not seeing eye to eye. This match saw the veteran West teaching Avenger his dirty ways. Stone and Eckos started to gain the upper hand until Blackie West reentered the ring with a chair. Stone speared West and grabbed the chair. As the ref had his back turn yelling at West, Stone suddenly turned and hit Chris Eckos with the chair. Avenger covered for the pin. The Columbia crowd did not believe their eyes. Brandon Stone just turned his back on The Ice Man and the fans!!!

Match Four
Michael White w/ Paul Adams def Antonio Cathey via DQ. The rematch of this feud saw Antonio getting the upper hand with the Columbia crowd behind him. Michael White, with Paul Adams help, got control of the match. The referee ended up getting in the way of the action. While she was down, Paul Adams entered the ring with a chain tossing it to Antonio. White hit the canvas as the ref turned seeing Antonio with the chain. The referee called for the bell thinking Antonio used the chain on White.
The Syndicate Crew entered Freddie’s and told the crowd they had a surprise. Karnage walked through the front door of Freddie’s!! Karnage is back and the Syndicate Crew is 4 strong!

Main Event
The Syndicate Crew (LA Player, Psycho Medic, Karnage & D’Angelo) def SteveO, Tommy Capone, Adam McCloud & JT Quest w/ Xstacy via pinfall. The bad blood continued as SteveO, Capone, and Quest all got their licks in on the Crew. The Crew turned the tables and put numerous double team beat downs on McCloud. McCloud hit a ddt and was able to finally make the tag. All eight men hit the ring! The Crew was able to isolate McCloud and used a chain on him while the ref was distracted. The ref reentered the ring and counted 1-2-3 while LA Player made the cover. McCloud was out cold as the rest of Team NWA got back into the ring for the save. SteveO made a challenge for next week. Team NWA (Robbie Ruffin, SteveO, Tommy Capone, & JT Quest) vs the Syndicate Crew! Things just got interesting in Columbia, Tennessee!
