Another match added to 'Cyber Sunday'

Send News

The WWE website has announced the ECW Championship bout for Cyber Sunday.

CM Punk will defend the ECW title against the fans choice from among:
Big Daddy V, The Miz and John Morrison

Well, the choice is a bit less clear-cut for this than for the Raw main event. I guess we'll find out between Morrison and V which one WWE prefers next week.

WWE Wrestlers are so screwed, and Ken Kennedy's nose is 6,000 miles long...

Sports Illustrated names names, drugs supplied and period supplied for several current and former WWE stars

The article lists the names of several current and former wrestlers under WWE contract and what they received and when. Note that all of the current WWE wrestlers received stuff while the “Wellness Policy” was in effect.

  1. Chavo Guerrero received somatropin, nandrolone and anastrozole from April 2005 through May 2006.

  2. Shane Helms received testosterone, genotropin and nandrolone from November 2003 through February 2007.

  3. Randy Orton received somatropin, nandrolone, stanozolol form September 2004 through February 2007.

  4. John Hennigan (Morrison) received somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin from June 2006 through February 2007.

  5. Ken Anderson (Kennedy) received anastrozole, somatropin and testosterone from October 2006 through February 2007.

  6. Shoichi Funaki received somatropin in March 2006.

  7. Charlie Haas received anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin from August 2006 through January 2007.

  8. Edward Fatu (Umaga) received somatropin between July and December 2006.

  9. Darren Matthews (William Regal) received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin and anastrozole between November 2004 and November 2006.

  10. Adam Copeland (Edge) received somatropin, genotropin, andstanozolol between September 2004 and February 2007.

Other Wrestlers named are…
  1. - Chris Benoit, received nandrolone and anastrozole in February 2006.

  2. Eddie Guerrero received nadrolone, testosterone and anastrozole two weeks before passing away in November of 2005.

  3. Brian Adams (Crush) received nandrolone, testosterone, and somatropin in December 2006. Adams had not worked for WWE in several years.

  4. Sylvain Grenier, who received somatropin, nandrolone, genotropin and stanozolol from February 2005 through July 2006.

This blows the credibility of the wellness policy all to hell as these are detectable substances and issued by an internet farmasy which is against the policy in the first place.

Plus, in the case of anastrozole, I really want to know what legitimate medical purpose the wrestlers who received it had for it? You can read about Anastrozole here and I welcome theories as to the legit medical purposes that could require such a thing.

Oh, and I retract my previous retraction. Ken Kennedy is a lier lier, pants on fire, fire…and he’s fucked…fucked!

If you need a refresher as to why, Kennedy did all these interviews and blog posts where he claimed the drug culture went out with the wellness policy, said things weren't as bad as in the old days, and that while he had used steroids, he stopped when the wellness policy was put in place.

You might say that 12 guys or whatever is a small part of the WWE roster. These are just the names released so far, and just from the one place...lord only knows what other wrestlers could've been getting and from where.

WWE can suspend these guys now but why wasn't this done sooner? why did this get as far as it did? The wellness policy is now completely in the toilet.

But hey, I'm not going to be all negative on WWE here, at least they have a wellness policy even if it failed big time. Having it is at least 3 steps ahead of TNA.

Thought I forgot about you Orlando boys didn't you?

You'll not enjoy your congressional time either.

Names linked to Signature Pharmacy starting to come out...

Send News

Earlier today we noted that WWE has suspended 10 wrestlers under its wellness policy for their connections to signature farmasy. Some of the names connected to Signature are starting to come out...
ESPN.com's story lists some, and
The New York Daily News lists more. We actually have more names than people suspended...thus far. and just because a name is listed doesn't mean they were one of the 10 suspended, WWE has not released that information at this time. It also doesn't mean that those 10 will be the extent of the suspensions when it is all said and done.

  1. Funaki
  2. Batista
  3. John Morrison
  4. Chris Masters
  5. Shane Helms
  6. Randy Orton
  7. Booker T
  8. Charlie Haas
  9. Edge
  10. Mike "Simon Dean" Bucci
  11. Santino
  12. Chavo Guerrero
  13. William Regal
  14. Ken Kennedy

Dave Meltzer notes that some of these perscriptions predate the wellness policy, which is why in fairness to Ken Kennedy, I have removed the text that initially appeared here.

Anyone that is suspended for crimes committed before the introduction of the Wellness policy would probably have a good grievence should they choose to pursue it but WWE is under a lot of pressure from the government (who probably knew these names already) and it would've looked bad had they not acted.

Meltzer seems to suggest even more names have yet to come out.

ECW on Sci-fi Main Event

Send News

CM Punk Vs. Big Daddy V Vs. The Miz Vs. Boogeyman with the winner getting a shot at John Morrison and the ECW title.

Wow, a 4 way match...that's like half the roster. Expect Kevin Thorn, Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer and maybe Elijah Burke (If WWE still remembers he works there) to fill out the show. Oh, and Balls will do something with Kelly Kelly. Toss in Morrison and you've got the roster of 10. In other words, more guys line up on either side of a football than are on ECW.

Nice one, WWE.
