Joe Stevenson update and other medical suspensions from UFC 74

Turns out that the broken jaw Stevenson suffered in his UFC 74 bout with Kurt Pellegrino wasn't exactly a broken jaw at all.
Stevenson explained the injury in an interview conducted with MMAWeekly.com “I thought my jaw was broke and it was sore, but it ended up being a broken nose,” said Stevenson. “I have a fracture on my nose. I had a pain in the
upper part of my teeth and I thought that was my jaw for some reason. It was a broken nose, first one ever.”
Stevenson was originally given a medical suspension that was to last until 09/25 with no contact until 09/16 but upon learning of the broken nose, the NSAC has modified it. Now, he is suspended until 02/22/2008 unless cleared by an ear nose and throat doctor in which case he is still out until 09/25 with no contact until 09/16.
Other medical suspensions include...
I guess David Heath being cut badly and bleeding buckets warrented no suspension. Also, Randy Couture who suffered a broken arm, was not given a suspension either, but has said he is unlikely to fight again in 2007.
